Chapter 66 Rest

Jin He felt the door in front of him being suddenly pulled open. He was about to hand the medicine in his hand to An Yi so that he could rest well when he was pulled into the bedroom. Xiao He cried out "Hey!" and was thrown onto the bed by An Yi.

An Yi must have just taken a shower, his body still damp and cold, but the hand that was tightly holding him was burning hot. Jin He looked at his red eyes and felt a sense of fear. He sat on the bed and moved back a couple of times with his hands and feet.

But for some reason, a heat rose in his lower abdomen, making Jin He's face turn red.

"An Yi..." Jin He began, her voice trembling, "An Yi, did you drink something you shouldn't have..."

An Yi didn't answer. He stared at Jin He, took a couple of deep breaths, and then rushed into the bathroom without looking back. Jin He heard a splash of water and followed him, only to find that An Yi had already jumped into the bathtub.

"You'd better leave quickly." An Yi saw Jin He arrive and hid himself even further into the bathtub. "Go back and lock the door, and leave now!"

Jin He clutched his lower abdomen, took two steps back, and then heard the sound of running water behind him. His hand was already on the doorknob, but upon hearing the sound, he closed the door and turned to walk into the bathroom.

An Yi was about to add some more cold water when he looked up and saw Jin He storming in aggressively: "Why are you still..."

Jin He jumped directly into the bathtub, knelt down in front of An Yi, grabbed his hair, and kissed him on the lips.

...(Lights out)...

An Yi was woken up early the next morning by a cell phone alarm. The phone was buzzing on the bedside table. He reached out to turn off the alarm and was about to go back to sleep when he realized that there seemed to be a huge hand warmer in his arms. He reached out and touched it, and his eyes suddenly opened.

Jin He lay quietly in his arms, fast asleep, her face flushed red, but her lips were still pale, which looked quite frightening. An Yi's brain went blank for two seconds before he remembered the absurd things that had happened last night.

Bathtub, desk, bed... everywhere there were traces of absurdity, and Jin He's body was even worse, not a single good spot was left, covered in bruises and teeth marks.

An Yi called his name twice: "Jin He, Jin He!"

Jin He merely frowned and let out a barely perceptible groan.

An Yi reached out to touch his forehead, which was burning hot. He then went naked to rummage through the plastic bag that Jin He had brought the night before and found a thermometer inside.

Holy crap! 40.2!

"Jin He, shall I take you to the hospital?"

Jin He was already feeling unwell, lying there breathing slowly, feeling that even living was a struggle. Upon hearing this, he immediately opened his eyes and softly punched his chest with his fist.

"You, you, you dare..."

"You're burning hot, don't mess around, you'll burn yourself." An Yi reached out to hug Jin He, but before he could lift her up, he heard her cry out in pain. An Yi was so startled that he almost let go.

"What's wrong? Where does it hurt?"

If Jin He weren't so exhausted right now, he really wanted to curse An Yi. "Damn this beast! This big physique is no waste. I thought he would be a little fierce, but I never thought he would be this fierce."

"I...I don't want to go to the hospital, just give me some fever reducer." Jin He's eyes were half-closed, she was almost unconscious, "A power outage never stays hidden forever, if someone takes a picture of it, we're finished..."

"What time is it? Does any of this matter?"

"You think I'm like you, young master!" Jin He forced a retort, but her voice grew weaker and weaker, sounding utterly powerless. "Do you know how important this job is to me? If I lose this job, I will definitely not let you off the hook!"

An Yi quieted down, lowered his head, and said, "I'm sorry."

"It's consensual, no need to compromise." Jin He took a handful of fever-reducing medicine and put it in her mouth. She pulled the blanket over herself and prepared to go to sleep. Before falling asleep, she didn't forget to tell An Yi, "Set an alarm for me at eight o'clock. I need to catch a flight."

"Catching a plane?" An Yi found it unbelievable. Did he think his body was made of iron?

"Tomorrow... there's... a variety show..." Jin He finally couldn't hold on any longer and drifted off to sleep. An Yi took out a set of clothes from his suitcase, changed into them, and then went to Jin He's side to touch his burning forehead.

This couldn't go on, and An Yi couldn't help feeling uneasy, so he had no choice but to call his older sister.

"Hey, sis."

What's wrong with you now?

An Yi hesitated for a moment, then said, "Do we have a family doctor at our estate in France? I need a doctor here who can keep quiet."

Are you sick?

“No, it’s my teammate,” An Yi replied. “He has a high fever.”

"I understand. I'll have the doctor contact you in a bit. That's all, I'll hang up now."

An Yi was hung up on by his decisive older sister before he could finish speaking, but fortunately, she was quite efficient. Not long after the call ended, another call came in.

"Hello Mr. An, please send your address to this mobile number and we will send a doctor over within half an hour."

An Yi breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing that Jin He was sleeping soundly, he thought he would go downstairs to buy Jin He some food, but when he came back, she was nowhere to be found!

An Yi: "!!!"

He took out his phone to make a call, but then noticed that Jin He's door next door was ajar. He took two steps forward and heard a "thump" from inside.

He pushed the door open and rushed in. Jin He was lying on the edge of the bed with her head down, struggling to sit up.

Why did you come back by yourself?

Jin He was weak and listless, swaying even while sitting, and said through gritted teeth, "Come back and change your clothes."

An Yi picked him up and put him on the bed: "You should rest first."

"We need to catch our flight first."

"Why are you rushing to catch a plane when you're in this state? Are you trying to die?!"

Jin He glared at him and said, "The penalty for breach of contract for tomorrow's variety show is so expensive, I'd rather die!"

"You rest first, I'll pay you the penalty for breach of contract."

Jin He wouldn't listen to him at all, stubborn as a mule: "Get out of my way..."

An Yi could tell that Jin He was already at his limit, swaying unsteadily even when standing. How could he let him rush to catch a flight and cause him any more trouble? He simply took Jin He's ID card and passport, packed them up, threw them into his backpack, and refused to give them back to him no matter what.

Jin He was so angry that his eyes rolled back and he fainted. Fortunately, An Yi reacted quickly and rushed forward to catch Jin He, then gently placed him on the bed.

An Yi touched his burning cheeks and sighed inwardly. He was only eighteen years old. What would happen to him in the future?

At that moment, there was a knock on Jin He's door. An Yi thought it was the doctor and got up to open the door, but unexpectedly, Wang Yang stood at the door with two cups of coffee in his hand: "Oh, you're here too. Hurry up and change your clothes, we have to catch our flight."

An Yi took a step back and said, "Jin He is sick, we need to stay here for two days."

Hearing this, Wang Yang frowned, looking worried: "I'll go in and take a look."

Jin He was still lying in bed, fast asleep. Wang Yang went over and touched Jin He's forehead, then turned to An Yi and said, "It's just a fever, nothing serious. Just wake him up and let him rest on the plane."

An Yi: "???"

His gaze swept over Jin He's pale face, which was so thin that her cheeks were somewhat sunken. Then he looked at Wang Yang, whose face was rosy, and he couldn't suppress the nameless anger in his heart.

“He’s been through similar situations before, but it didn’t cause any problems. He’s only eighteen, so he’s young and his body is strong.”

An Yi, unable to contain himself any longer, retorted, "Are you talking nonsense?"

An Yi had rebuked him, but Wang Yang didn't dare say anything. This young master came from an amazing family; even the boss wouldn't dare to break ties with him, let alone a mere agent like him. "Xiao He has other schedules to attend."

"I'll cancel it, and I'll pay him the penalty for breach of contract."

"He won't agree."

“He has already agreed.” An Yi’s tone was firm. “He must rest here today. I’ve called a doctor for him.”

Seeing that Jin He was so unconscious, Wang Yang knew that it wouldn't work to persuade An Yi. Only by waking Jin He could he achieve his goal, so he didn't say anything at the moment.

"Go to the door and meet the doctor," An Yi ordered him, raising his chin. "Go quickly and bring him up right away."

Wang Yang had no choice but to say something. He dared not disobey An Yi, so he gave Jin He a deep look, placed the coffee in his hand on the bedside table, and left.

An Yi reached out and touched Jin He's forehead again, gave him a deep look, then turned around and went back to his room to get Jin He's breakfast so that he could eat something to tide him over as soon as he woke up.
