Li Mai chuckled upon hearing his words, "You're not planning to awaken your water element?"
"Mm!" Zhou Quan hummed in agreement.
Li Mai was surprised. His former teacher was such a powerful figure, yet he didn't want to become that powerful figure again?
"So what if I'm amazing? All I feel is loneliness. I have no family, no lover, no one I can trust, and no one who cares about me," Zhou Quan said softly, looking at her quietly.
Li Mai silently stared at him for a while, then slowly turned her head away.
“Alright, the world doesn’t need those things. We’re just ordinary people, and we’ll just be business people in the future. Your current abilities are enough to protect our whole family. You still have me.” After a long while, Li Mai finally calmed down, looked at him, and said with a light smile.
"Yes, that's what I think too." Zhou Quan smiled and took her hand.
"Dirty, you've rummaged through so many boxes." Li Mai quickly withdrew her hand.
Zhou Quan chuckled, "Go wash your hands and take me to the space. I'll tidy things up and separate the two of us."
"Okay!" Li Mai took him with a thought.
She washed her hands and went to sit in the yard to bask in the sun.
Chu Yan came in carrying several flowerpots.
"Master, I found some more pretty flowerpots, I'll give them all to you." Chu Yan said quickly as she entered the gate and saw her master sunbathing.
"Okay, thank you." Li Mai waved her hand, and the flowerpot in Chu Yan's hand disappeared.
Chu Yan was immediately stunned.
My goodness, Master is indeed from a reclusive family. The people trained by these families are all so amazing!
"Master, what kind of kung fu is this? Can you teach me?"
