Chapter 2 Black Wind Village - Lone Household

Back home, Ma Lihua was already asleep. Her mother gently placed her on the bed, took the ghost-carrying bag from her waist, and quietly closed the door.

"How did it go? How many ghosts did you catch?" Ma Linghua asked hurriedly.

"Mother, our daughter is no good! There isn't a single one." Ma Hehua turned the bag containing the ghosts inside out, as if afraid her mother wouldn't see them.

Ma Linghua glanced at the bag containing the ghost, her eyes filled with sorrow.

Ma Hehua yawned and said, "Mom, I'm going to sleep. I'm so sleepy."

I don't know what nerve those words struck on Ma Linghua, but she immediately launched into a tirade against Ma Hehua, "All you do all day is eat and sleep, eat and sleep, is your brain filled with shit? When I was pregnant, I told you to eat more wild ginseng, but you wouldn't. You're so useless, raising my granddaughter to be so delicate."

The thought that she always messes up at crucial moments makes me angrier and angrier.

Ma Hehua looked aggrieved. She had eaten wild ginseng! Several pieces a day!

The more I look at it, the worse it gets. I should just let her go to sleep! Otherwise, she'll start hitting me at her age of over seventy.

"Alright, go to sleep!"

After watching her daughter go into the room, she suddenly remembered that Lotus's bottom hadn't been washed yet...

Sigh! She must have been missing a screw when she was born, or maybe her husband's sperm was defective.

Seeing that it was getting late, she quickly went to sleep and fully charged her phone on the bedside table.

July is usually very hot, but in these deep mountains, the nights are exceptionally cool.

In the morning, the air is fresh, the sunlight is gentle, birds sing softly on the branches, and glistening dewdrops sparkle on the grass.

In a small courtyard, a young girl was practicing swordsmanship. Her face was expressionless, and her sword moves were as swift as lightning and as fast as the wind.

After practicing for a short while, I was panting heavily and heard a ghostly howl.

"Mom, why can you play on your phone but I can't?" Ma Hehua said, feeling a little aggrieved.

Ma Linghua wasn't going to put up with her. "Have you chopped the firewood? Have you swept the yard? Have you fed the chickens and ducks?" This barrage of questions made Ma Hehua lower her head.

"Hurry up and go! What are you standing there for?" Ma Linghua shouted, and Ma Hehua immediately went to chop firewood.

Ma Lihua weakly walked to a chair, took a sip of ginseng water, and felt as if she had come back to life.

Her beautiful face was deeply loved by Ma Linghua. Her son-in-law was as handsome as Pan An, but he was a bit weak. Her daughter, Lihua, took after her father. If only she could have her father's face and her mother's body!

Pear blossom;……………………

No, she didn't want to.

Carrying her basket, Ma Linghua went to pick vegetables. Now, only the three of them lived in Heifeng Village. The old man, his son-in-law, and several grandsons all lived in big cities and would come back once a year for the Spring Festival.

Because of the landslide, everyone in the village has moved. As for the Ma family, they will not leave Black Wind Village. Her granddaughter's ghost-catching skills are worrying her. But now they have no choice but to leave. 13-year-old Pear Blossom is going to high school. She is not a conservative person, nor is she an open-minded person. The three flowers of the Ma family are going to the city.

Over the past ten years, in order to make the three of them live comfortably, their son-in-law built a new school in the town where Lihua studied, installed internet access in Heifeng Village where there was no road, and bought cell phones for her and Hehua so that they could learn about the wonderful world outside.

And the old man, whose health wasn't very good, had arranged for him, his son-in-law, and several troublesome grandsons to go to the city early on. Only the women of the Ma family were qualified to know the secrets of the Ma family.

She glanced at the gravesite from last night and quickened her pace to pick vegetables. The vegetable garden was a bit far away; it was impossible to grow vegetables within a hundred meters of her house. But it didn't matter; someone was planting and taking care of her vegetable garden.

As soon as Ma Linghua left, the surrounding ghosts and monsters breathed a sigh of relief. They had been tormented a lot over the decades. As long as they didn't do evil, they wouldn't be dealt with by Ma Linghua. If they had encountered that unreasonable Ma Hehua, they would have been in for a world of trouble.

Upon arriving at the vegetable garden, we saw several weevils weeding, looking quite like humans. The arrival of the iris flower made them stop what they were doing.

A wisp of smoke rose from the vegetable garden, and a large weasel appeared. Upon seeing Ma Linghua, it bowed slightly and said, "This humble immortal Huang Sanlang greets Fairy Ma."

Ma Linghua nodded, picked up her basket and started picking vegetables, without saying a word to Huang Sanlang.

Thinking that she would be going to the city in a month, she looked at the vegetables on the ground, stood up and said to Huang Sanlang who was standing beside her, "I will leave in a month and will not be back until the New Year. You can eat the vegetables in the field! We will plant fruit next year."

"Yes, Little Fairy understands." Its eyes gleamed. These dishes were all highly nourishing, moistened with yin energy. They were very useful for cultivators, but deadly poison for ordinary people.

Huang Sanlang is the guardian spirit of the Ma family, protecting them for hundreds of years. However, he knows in his heart that it is the Ma family that is protecting him, and Ma Lihua has grown up with him since childhood, so their relationship is very deep.

After Ma Linghua left, Huang Sanlang didn't give his descendants a friendly look. If he hadn't gotten close to the Ma family, these foolish descendants might have been eaten by lynxes.

This time, it can increase its cultivation level a lot with these dishes. Although it doesn't like to eat vegetables, it will eat them in order to strengthen itself!

"Pah, Huang Zhenzhen, have you no shame? Nana and Zhixian are the real love. No way, I'm going to post a comment: Damn it!" Ma Hehua was so engrossed in watching the TV series that she didn't even notice her mother had returned.

She turned on the live chat, and wow, it required a membership. Gritting her teeth, she made a phone call to her man.
