"Ah! Help, Master, save me!" Jinling's cries echoed in the fish restaurant, but they were like stones sinking into the sea.
Her feet seemed to be nailed to the ground, and before she could move, her mother's iron-like hands grabbed her arms tightly.
A piercing pain struck her instantly, her eyes wide open, filled with terror and confusion.
The two members of the Ma family stood to the side, their eyes as cold as frost in an ice cellar, with even a faint hint of mockery on their lips.
"Why? Why didn't you save me?" Jinling's voice was choked with sobs, but the two men remained unmoved.
She struggled desperately, but her mother's strength was astonishing; she was like prey controlled by a monster.
Blood kept flowing from Jinling's body. She could clearly feel her life rapidly fading away with the blood, and fear overwhelmed her like a tidal wave.
"Jinling, merge with me! Ahahaha... Humans are the most untrustworthy people. Only when the two of us become stronger and more powerful will we gain more understanding and respect from others."
Her mother's voice suddenly rang out in the fish restaurant, like a summons from hell.
"Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!" That was the sound of bones being chewed, one after another, like the footsteps of death, playing a deathly symphony in this deserted fish restaurant.
Each sound assaulted Jinling's eardrums, making her soul tremble.
The air was thick with the stench of blood, and the lights seemed even dimmer under the reflection of the blood, as if they too were mourning this cruel scene.
On the walls of the fish restaurant, the once vibrant fish paintings now appear to be twisting and screaming, being dragged into an endless abyss of darkness along with Jinling.
Ma Linghua crossed her arms and coldly watched the monster gradually devour Jin Ling, her expression completely unmoved.
"Mother, when do we start?" Her voice echoed in the quiet fish restaurant.
Ma Hehua frowned slightly, looking at the monster with disgust. At this moment, its half-human, half-fish form was extremely ugly, and the smell of decay spread wildly in the air. The sound it made when it ate people was particularly jarring in the fish restaurant.
"No rush, let's wait for her to come!" Ma Linghua's tone was mysterious.
"Waiting for whom?" Ma Hehua asked curiously, her eyes sparkling with doubt.
“Of course it’s Fish Girl.” Ma Linghua slowly uttered these two words.
Ma Hehua's expression changed. "Didn't she die fifty years ago? What happened? Can a demon turn into a ghost after it dies? I've never heard of that!" She scratched her head, looking completely bewildered.
"Hmph! Is this an ordinary demon?" Ma Linghua's eyes were filled with disdain.
"Isn't that right?" Ma Hehua pressed.
A cold smile flashed in Ma Linghua's eyes. "Back then, Yu Niang stole something from me."
"What?" Ma Hehua asked again.
"Why ask so many questions?" Ma Linghua's tone became stern, and a hint of annoyance flashed in her eyes.
Seeing this, Ma Hehua immediately shut up. She didn't want to anger her mother, but she was increasingly curious about the secret behind it, her gaze constantly shifting between Ma Linghua and the bloody scene of devouring.
The atmosphere in the fish restaurant grew increasingly eerie, as if an even bigger storm was about to break.
After the old woman devoured Jinling completely, her body suddenly underwent a change.
Her eyes suddenly bulged outwards, as if trying to break free from their sockets, and the original turbidity in her eyes was instantly replaced by a kind of madness.
Immediately afterwards, a piercing scream shattered the deathly silence of the fish restaurant: "Ah...it hurts so much...my stomach hurts so much..."
She rolled wildly on the ground, her body scraping violently against the earth, her fish scales peeling off one by one with each impact, scattering into an eerie silver hue around her.
Where the fish scales fell, wisps of black smoke rose up, as if each scale held a cursed soul.
The skin behind her ears began to tear, and gills grew at a visible speed. The tender red gills opened and closed, as if struggling to adapt to this sudden change.
At the same time, her legs seemed to be squeezed by some invisible force, her muscles gradually atrophied, and her bones began to degenerate with cracking sounds. Her legs, which were originally separated, slowly moved closer to each other and were about to grow together, looking like a fish tail taking shape.
Her body began to secrete a large amount of thick, stringy mucus, which emitted a pungent, fishy smell. It flowed down her body and gathered on the ground into a pool of liquid that emitted an eerie glow.
And beneath her nose, long whiskers slowly grew, as hard as steel wire, dancing as she struggled.
What was most chilling were her eyes, which, after a flash of red light, turned completely blood red, like two burning hellfires, revealing endless savagery and greed.
Her ears were also slowly degenerating, their original outline gradually blurring until they disappeared completely, leaving only a smooth patch of skin.
Amidst this series of terrifying changes, the old woman's face began to gradually become younger.
The wrinkles receded like a tide, the loose skin became firm and smooth, and the originally gray hair became black and shiny, scattered messily around her young but ferocious face.
She transforms from a frail old woman into an unknown and terrifying youthful form.
As if traveling backwards from the end of time, reshaped by an evil force, the terrifying atmosphere permeating the fish restaurant grew increasingly intense, pressing down on every inch of space as if it were a tangible force.
Finally, after a violent spasm, the old woman fainted, and the fish restaurant returned to a deathly silence.
However, this calm was only a temporary illusion.
Not long after, the old woman suddenly opened her tightly closed eyes, which flashed with a chilling, eerie light, as if they came from the deepest hell.
She slowly stretched out her hand, her fingers like sharp claws, reaching without hesitation towards the skin she had just shed.
With a chilling tearing sound, the skin was ripped open, revealing her completely new self underneath.
At this moment, she bore an astonishing resemblance to the deceased Jinling. Her delicate face and lively eyes were as if Jinling had been reborn. However, where her legs should have been, she had an extra tail covered in scales, which swung powerfully on the ground, exuding a dangerous aura.
"Fish Girl! It seems you're still as shameless as ever!" Ma Linghua stared coldly at the seemingly reborn woman, her eyes filled with anger and disdain.
Ma Hehua leaned forward slightly, like a cheetah poised to pounce, ready to attack the strange enemy before her at any moment.
The air around them seemed frozen by the tense atmosphere, and the walls of the fish restaurant seemed to reflect the invisible battle between the two women.
