Chapter 7 The Lynx Seizes Territory

After helping Granny Wang back to her home, Ma Linghua took the money and left.

Midnight.

I stepped onto the stone path I had come from that morning. The night in the mountains was exceptionally cool, and there were sounds of insects chirping.

Ma Hehua's leather shoes seemed a bit tight, and she twisted uncomfortably, shaking Ma Lihua, who was sleeping soundly on her back, awake.

Ma Linghua was followed by two ox-headed and horse-faced demons. A rustling sound came from the woods, and she paused and stopped.

Soon, the surrounding moonlight began to become hazy and indistinct, as if shrouded in mist. Ma Hehua stood behind Ma Linghua with her daughter on her back.

"Grandma, did you run into her?" Ma Lihua seemed quite used to this kind of situation.

"Oh! My daughter's awake. This monster seems to have some skill. Why don't you give it a try?" Ma Linghua asked tentatively.

“Okay, I’ll give it a try.” Ma Lihua got off her mother’s back.

She leaped lightly to a pine tree, the surrounding mist growing thicker and thicker. A red claw slashed down from the pine tree, aiming straight for Ma Lihua's skull.

Ma Lihua shifted her body slightly and flew backwards—yes, backwards. She lightly touched the ground with her feet and then flew up to stand on a pine branch.

He drew a soft sword from his waist and slashed at the pine tree opposite him, sending streaks of white sword energy toward the tree.

Soon, the branches on the tree were stripped bare by the sword energy, revealing a colossal creature.

It was a five-meter-tall red wild fox with cunning eyes and gleaming teeth. It did not retreat at all, seemingly unafraid of the three members of the Ma family.

The other spirits around lit a candle for it. The three tyrannical flowers of the Ma family, who doesn't know the spirits of Black Mountain?

They don't care what you think, they care what they think. This wild fox seems to be from out of town.

Ma Hehua's eyes lit up, and she couldn't take her eyes off the red fox. So she excitedly said, "Girl, that fox fur is nice. Keep it for me."

"Okay, Mom!"

As soon as she finished answering, Ma Lihua's expression changed instantly. Her cold eyes were filled with indifference, indicating that there was absolutely no one in the world who could withstand her sword.

A small amount of sword intent is enough.

The fox died so cleanly that there wasn't a single trace left except for its fur. Afterwards, Ma Lihua collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

Ma Hehua held the fox fur with obvious delight, but her mother gave her a sharp rap on the head. Tears welled in her eyes from the pain, and she said, aggrieved, "Mom, why did you hit me?"

"Are you blind? Didn't you see my eldest daughter lying on the ground? Hurry up and pick up my little darling, or I'll confiscate that fox fur!" Ma Linghua said, exasperated.

What a clueless person! He didn't even help his own daughter up after she fell to the ground.

"Yes, yes, I'll carry my daughter on my back right away." Ma Hehua wrapped the fox fur around her waist, took out a water bottle and fed her daughter several mouthfuls of ginseng water before carrying her on her back.

Once Ma Lihua felt comfortable and recovered, she lay on his back and never raised her head again.

Ma Linghua nodded in satisfaction. Not bad, her daughter was quite sensible.

However, thinking about her eldest granddaughter's health, she became worried again, which made Ma Hehua's heart skip a beat. Was her mother going to scold her again?

Fortunately, Ma Linghua didn't say much along the way, and the spirits around her who had witnessed the spectacle didn't dare to utter a sound. This wild fox was truly brave.

The number of ghosts and spirits in the mountains is increasing. It's 1 a.m., and Ma Linghua is in a particularly bad mood. It seems that the number one female bandit is going to be killed tonight.

On Black Mountain.

Huang Sanlang was locked in a fierce battle with a lynx over Ma Linghua's vegetable patch.

The lynx, which was about three meters tall and looked like both a tiger and a cat, stared greedily at the vegetables.

"Huang Sanlang, you'd better give up resisting! Obediently hand over this precious land, or our lynx clan will devour your descendants." The lynx's face was full of malice, and it also had an arrogant attitude.

"Lynx, you're dreaming. This is Fairy Maiden's territory. Didn't you ask your grandfather before you barged in? Or did you sneak in all by yourself?" Huang Sanlang guessed that this Lynx must have come sneakily, otherwise that old lynx wouldn't have let him in.

Hearing Huang Sanlang's words, he was unconvinced. So what if he sneaked over?

If he hadn't come over, how would he have known that Huang Sanlang was actually monopolizing a treasure trove of natural resources and treasures, and that he was determined to take it for himself?

After a few moves, Huang Sanlang was no match for him and was even hit by the lynx's claws. The lynx's claws were full of venom. After the flesh on Huang Sanlang's body was torn off, the wounds rotted quickly and made him dizzy.

These lynxes survive by eating the flesh of the dead, not just human flesh, but the corpses of all dead animals, and they are extremely vicious and cruel in their methods.

Huang Sanlang was no match for him and ran away with his tail between his legs.

With a smug smile, Lynx casually picked a green vegetable brimming with yin energy and put it in his mouth. The yin energy entering his lungs made him tremble with pleasure.

Huang Sanlang had a strange smile in his eyes. He was completely oblivious to his own mortality. He dared to seize the land belonging to the Fairy Maiden. Even if the lynx ancestor came, he would have to be subservient to it. Miss Pear Blossom could kill him with a single sword strike.

Huang Sanlang didn't rush to complain. Instead, he found a place near the fairy's house to heal his wounds and waited until the three members of the Ma family woke up naturally before visiting them.

After arriving home at 2 a.m. last night, Ma Hehua immediately got to work with the fox pelt. As she was about to take off her shoes, she saw her mother staring straight at her.
