Chapter 41: Don't Give Up

Yan Qianqian's eyes darkened involuntarily, she was just about to see it. If she hadn't still been unwilling to give up, and there were so many people in the city, why would she have come back for such a trip.

Yan Qianqian thought of this, smiled and approached and said, "Sisi, where are we going?"

Yan Sisi took a few steps back cautiously to prevent her from rushing over again, and replied angrily, "What does it have to do with you?"

I don't know what's wrong with her. Why is she blocking her way?

Yan Qianqian said calmly: "I just want to take a look at your wrist, cousin, you won't object, right?"

Yan Sisi looked at her unkindly. She really didn't give up. She even had her eye on her bracelet. "What if I don't want to?"

Yan Qianqian rushed over while she was talking, "There's nothing I can do about it. I have to watch it today."

She ran straight towards Yan Sisi and grabbed her wrist with both hands. When she came over, Yan Sisi couldn't help but take a few steps back and held her hand with both hands.

She is really a crazy woman. She has seen everything, but she still won’t give up. How can I make her give up the desire to find the bracelet?

Yan Sisi was not afraid of her looking at her wrist at all. You know, with the help of Jiujiu, the bracelet had already turned into a small sapling attached to her wrist.

She just didn't want her to see it so easily, otherwise her suspicion would definitely come back.

The two of them were pulling their fists against each other, and finally Yan Sisi pinned her cousin to the ground and asked fiercely, "Why do you have to look at my wrist? Is there something wrong with you?"

"Let me take a look. Do you have a secret that you don't want me to see?"

"Is there a secret in your wrist? Are you crazy?" Yan Sisi looked at her as if she were mentally ill. "If your brain is broken, ask your uncle to take you to see a doctor, so that you don't have to think about anything in your head all day long."

Yan Qianqian was like a madman, her eyes fixed on the wrist that was pressing on her, and she didn't hear what Yan Sisi was saying at all.

Yan Qianqian was pinned to the ground, panting, loosening her arms and quietly recovering her strength, interrupting, "Forget about not showing it to me, what treasure do you have? Hurry up and get off me."

Yan Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. She had used heavy force in the fight for authenticity and now her whole body ached. As soon as she loosened her wrists, she felt dizzy and her body fell directly on the stones on the ground.

Yan Qianqian took advantage of Yan Sisi's loosening of her hand and turned over to press her to the ground. She sat on Yan Sisi's waist and pressed her down with her weight.

Yan Sisi struggled deliberately and said loudly: "You don't keep your word, get out of here quickly, Yan Qianqian."

After saying this, he struggled to get up.

Yan Qianqian would not miss such a good opportunity. She grabbed Yan Sisi's left hand with both hands and quickly pulled her sleeve down. Nothing.

Then he quickly switched to his other hand and pulled down his sleeve, but there was still nothing. How could it be possible? Could it be that someone else had taken the things?

Seeing that she had finished reading, Yan Sisi pushed her off her body without caring whether she was injured or not. She said with a vicious look in her eyes: "Yan Qianqian, you are really sick. Now you have read it, have you seen anything? We are not done with this matter. I have to go back and ask my uncle how he educates his daughter."

After saying this, I will go back and find someone to judge the matter.

From the moment Yan Qianqian, who was lying on the ground, didn't notice the bracelet, she seemed to have lost all her energy. She lay there motionless, and even when she heard Yan Sisi's words, she didn't move at all.

Yan Sisi walked for a while and turned back to see Yan Qianqian still lying on the ground. She wanted to play the whole act and went back without looking back. When she got home, she cried to her mother and told her that her cousin seemed like a madman, revealing the injuries on her body.

What happened afterwards had nothing to do with her. It was all caused by her mother. Her aunt was already in a bad mood, and her mother kept asking for an explanation, which made her even more furious. She kept cursing outside.

Yan Sisi returned to her room and changed her clothes. She washed the areas of her body that were scratched by dirt and stones with diluted spiritual spring water, and then lay down on the bed to rest.

After a long while, I heard that Yan Qianqian came back and was beaten and scolded by her aunt. Only then did I feel much better. It seems that Yan Qianqian should give up this time!

I hope she can find her biological parents as soon as possible and go back so that they won’t torment her anymore.

In the evening, the whole family sat in the main hall to celebrate the New Year. Yan Sisi looked around but didn't see Yan Qianqian, so she sat next to her cousin Yan Li. The two of them sat in a corner, eating the fried melon seeds and peanuts they had today, and whispered to each other until they could no longer bear it and were taken back to their room by their parents.

In a daze, I heard waves of firecrackers. It seemed that the new year had arrived.

The next day, Yan Sisi skillfully took out the New Year's money her parents had placed under her pillow, ate the cake on the counter in one gulp without saying a word, and then went out to wish others a happy new year. She received several red envelopes.

She had eaten a few hand-rolled glutinous rice balls in the morning when something suddenly hit her teeth. She spat it out and saw that it was a coin. She quickly gave it to her mother and stuck it on the portrait of the stove god in the kitchen, hoping that she would make a fortune in the new year.

After dinner, Yan Sisi went out with her parents to pay New Year’s greetings for a while, and then went to the mountain to pay New Year’s greetings to her grandmother.

On the second day of the Lunar New Year, people go back to their parents’ home to visit relatives.

Yan Sisi stayed in the mountain for a day, and the usually quiet little house became much livelier, with everyone's face filled with admiration for a better future.

After playing for a day, Yan Sisi followed her parents down the mountain. When they were almost home, they saw Liu Ying standing not far away. She looked over immediately when she saw them coming back.

Yan Sisi glanced at her and continued walking forward. Before she reached the door, she heard Liu Ying calling her name in a low voice, "Yan Sisi."

Yan Sisi turned around and glanced at her. She had no idea why she was looking for her, but seeing her anxious look, she waved to her parents who were looking over and said, "I'll go take a look and be back soon."

Father Yan warned, "Be careful, call us if anything happens."

Yan Sisi nodded, walked up to Liu Ying, and asked, "Why did you call me?"

Liu Ying had been waiting here for a long time. When she saw Yan Sisi, she didn't know how to start the conversation. She just said, "That..."

Yan Sisi just kept saying "that" after listening for a long time. She didn't say a word for a long time. She said impatiently: "What do you want to say? If you don't want to say it, I will go back."

After playing for a whole day, I'm a little tired and really don't have the energy to play the guessing game with her here.

Liu Ying was afraid that the person would really go back, so she hurriedly said, "I just want to ask you what you saw that day?"

Yan Sisi was confused for a moment and asked, "Which day?"

Just asking her about that day, how would she know which day it was?

Liu Ying couldn't hold it in any longer and said directly: "It was that day in the birch forest, the red skirt, do you remember it?"

Yan Sisi finally reacted, glanced at Liu Ying, and said clearly: "You have nothing to do with Tang Mingze, so I didn't see anything. If you get involved again, I will see everything."

Although her brother will be back in a few days, it is better to have less trouble than more.

Liu Ying glared at Yan Sisi and said, "Do you like Tang Mingze too? If so, I won't compete with you for him."

Yan Sisi was frightened by this and waved her hands quickly, "What nonsense are you talking about? Just promise that you won't bother him anymore, and the thing you're worried about won't happen. Otherwise, I can't say for sure. Is there anything else? If not, I'll leave."

Liu Ying looked incredulous. Such a handsome young man would have been targeted by the villagers if he had not been demoted. Yan Sisi had always been close to Tang Mingze, so she didn't believe that they had no relationship at all.

Although I didn't believe it in my heart, I couldn't say it out loud and could only agree, "Don't worry, I won't get involved."

Finally, seeing Yan Sisi about to leave, he couldn't help but say, "I won't cling to you anymore, but I'm not sure about Xie Yiyi."

Yan Sisi immediately stopped and looked back, but Liu Ying turned around and left without saying anything.

Her curiosity was completely aroused. Who is Xie Yiyi?

Yan Sisi thought for a moment and then let go. Her brother could handle his own problems, so she should just go back to sleep!

On the third day of the New Year, it was too cold outside. Yan Sisi curled up in her quilt and didn't want to go out at all. It was not until the afternoon that she was forced out of the room by a group of people rushing in.

She saw a strange man holding her mother's hand. Yan Sisi walked over and asked, "Mom, who is this?"

The strange man Tang Zhigao said with a smile: "This must be my niece! She is so pretty."

Yan Sisi smiled sheepishly, looked at the man who looked very similar to her cousin and asked, "Is this my uncle?"

Tang Zhi responded happily, took out an old pen from his pocket and handed it to me, saying, "I heard from your mother that you are preparing for the college entrance examination. This is the pen that your uncle always carries with him. I am giving it to you now. I hope you can study hard and get into your ideal university as you wish."

Yan Sisi glanced at her mother and took it when she nodded. She smiled and said, "Thank you, uncle."

Mother Yan looked at her brother who had obviously become thinner and older, and asked, trying to hold back tears, "Brother, have you visited Dad?"

Tang Zhigao saw his sister mention his father, "Not yet, I came to see you first, I will go pick them up in a while, you have worked hard to take care of dad and Mingze for so many years, I won't say more, thank you."

"Brother, it's too polite for you to say that. He's my father, so go and meet him quickly!" Mother Yan quickly pushed them out, fearing that her old father would be waiting anxiously.

Tang Mingze took a few steps, turned around and said, "Well, we'll leave soon, you guys come with us!"

I haven't seen my sister for a long time, so I must have a good chat with her this time.

Mother Yan wiped her tears, looked at her brother and said, "Okay, go ahead. Just come this way and take us with you when you leave."
