Chapter 2 Goblin King

A gust of wind suddenly blew in all directions with the lake as the center, and then the entire lake surface emitted a dazzling light. Under the light, an extremely mysterious magic circle suddenly unfolded.

"Huh? Huh?! What, what happened?!"

The strong wind blew Hulim's hair and clothes wildly, and the dazzling light made it difficult for her to open her eyes.

Crash!

The sound of breaking water was heard.

"The world above ground! Here I come again~!"

A figure bathed in light leaped out of the water and appeared above the lake, speaking meaningless words.

After a moment, the magic circle disappeared and the light dissipated.

A woman with skin as delicate as white porcelain, eyes as clear as emerald, a pair of long, pointed ears hidden under her shining golden hair, and a stunning appearance appeared in front of Hulim, just like an angel in fantasy, provided that one ignores the three pairs of six transparent wings behind her that emit a faint light.

"O lucky chosen one, are you the one calling me?"

The blonde woman just hovered over the lake, her wings not flapping behind her. She asked with an extremely holy expression, while her emerald eyes cast their gaze forward.

Then,

“… …”

The blonde was slightly stunned.

Opposite her, the young girl did not show any surprise or reverence for her arrival as one might imagine, but instead had a look of fear on her face.

"Demon, demon... a monster has appeared!!!"

"ha?"

The blonde looked confused.

Hulim's face was pale, her small pupils were full of panic, and she retreated backwards using her hands and feet.

Not until he had retreated to the edge of the rock, with nowhere to retreat, did he raise the wooden stick and, trembling all over, point at the woman hanging in the air above the lake.

"No, no, don't come over here!"

There was even a hint of crying in the girl's voice.

"Wait, who are you calling a monster?!"

The blonde woman was so angry that she clenched her fists.

Then she put her left hand on her waist, pointed her right hand at Hulim, and said angrily:

"Listen up, you ignorant fellow! I—"

She patted her chest vigorously and raised her chin.

"—This me! I am one of the most ancient beings in the world, a vassal of the great Earth Mother, Lady Traya, the original fairy, the Fairy King—Semiris Pan Genin! Open your eyes and see clearly! Show me your respect!"

"Eh? The Fairy King..."

A hint of doubt appeared in Hulim's tearful eyes.

Semiris nodded vigorously. "Yes, that's right! The great Fairy King that people often talk about is me!"

"What kind of monster is that?"

"Of course it is... It's not a monster!!"

Semiris yelled.

"Ah! Don't eat me! Magic bullet, magic bullet, magic bullet..."

Hulim's face turned pale with fear. He picked up a stone from the ground and threw it madly at Semiris.

when!

Semiris tilted her head back slightly, and a red mark on her forehead was clearly visible.

Then the veins at the corners of her eyebrows jumped.

“So, who is the monster?! And stop it right now!”

Wow! Wow!

The loud roar startled the birds in the forest and made them fly away in panic.

It also succeeded in making Hulim stop.

After a while, Hulim looked carefully at Semiris's face. That face looked just like a human, or even angelic. There was no doubt that it was not the same as the monster described in the storybook.

"Ah... not a monster?"

There was still a hint of confusion in her little eyes.

Seeing that the other party finally calmed down.

Semiris said angrily, "Of course not! You actually treat me, a noble and great being, as one of those filthy monsters. Among all the Chosen Ones of all time, your disrespect is unmatched!"

“But, but…”

Hulim didn't quite understand what Semiris said.

"But humans don't have wings, and they can't fly, right?"

Semiris was stunned, the veins at her eyebrow throbbing again. She clutched her head with both hands and cried out:

"Ahh! What's going on, you bastard! Didn't I tell you I'm a fairy? Fairy, fairy! Don't you even know what a fairy is?!"

"have no idea."

Hulim shook her head decisively.

"Well--"

Semiris froze in mid-air, all the words she wanted to complain about stuck in her stomach.

I took a deep breath and adjusted my mindset.

"I say, fairies are..."

Semiris spent a full half hour telling Hulim about the history and ecology of fairies.

The so-called fairies are a kind of magical life different from common intelligent creatures such as humans and orcs. They were created by the Earth Mother Goddess Traya. They were born from the source of natural magic. They can use magic by nature and have endless life. Their main feature is the transparent wings on their backs.

As followers of the Earth Mother Goddess Traya, fairies mainly live in the heavenly realm of Tiramsuin and are rarely seen in the lower realms.

Semiris is the first fairy in the world and the king of the fairy clan, a fairy king with three pairs of wings!

In addition to being the king of the fairy clan and doing nothing in the heaven, she also serves as the apostle of the Earth Mother Goddess, often handling various matters for the Earth Mother Goddess in heaven and on earth. Her identity as an apostle is clearly and detailedly recorded in various churches in the lower world, and she is universally respected as a messenger of God.
