Chapter 34 Kidnapping and Clues

"Sorry, I really have something urgent to do and can't chat with you!"

Fran immediately tried to find an excuse to escape.

But his right hand was grabbed by the bald gangster.

"Hey, hey, hey~, you bumped into someone and just want to walk away like that? That's pretty rude of a noble~! Next, let us teach you some real etiquette~!"

"Hehehe~! Yes, it's etiquette that you'll spend your whole life learning~!"

The two thugs looked at Fran with rather malicious eyes, as if they were estimating her specific value.

"Wait, what do you want to do! Let me go, let me go quickly!"

Fran was completely panicked and pulled hard at her sleeves to break free.

"Hey, here you go!"

The younger brother among the gang came over, hugged Fran's waist and carried her on his shoulders.

"Wait! What on earth are you trying to do!? Put me down now! Help, someone, help me! Help—!"

"Cover her mouth!"

"Okay, big brother."

The thug with a crew cut put Fran down, held her by the waist with one hand, and covered her mouth and nose with the other hand.

“Help—Uh, uh…”

Unable to breathe, Fran struggled in pain.

The bald thug immediately scolded him upon seeing this:

"Idiot! Be gentle and don't make any trouble! You'll be undercut by the price!"

"Sorry, big brother!"

The thug with a crew cut immediately relaxed his grip, but Fran struggled even harder.

“Help… Wuuuu…”

"Damn little brat, he's quite capable of causing trouble!"

The thug with a crew cut cursed and had to increase his strength a little.

The bald gangster looked around and gradually became impatient. Although no one cared about his business, they were aristocrats after all, so there was no guarantee that some accidents would not happen.

"Okay, stop talking nonsense and let's go! We'll have plenty of ways to make her behave once we get back to the base!"

"Yes, big brother!"

The two thugs carried Fran and quickly slipped into the dark alley next to them...

"... Why do I seem to hear someone shouting for help?"

At the end of the street, Hulim stopped where he was.

Although the security in this neighborhood has always been poor, it's common for someone to cry for help. Normally, Hulim wouldn't pay too much attention to such things, provided the voice wasn't familiar...

Hulim looked back at the deserted street and tilted her head.

The cries for help had disappeared, and no one was seen calling for help.

It's like an illusion.

But Hulim would not think that it was an illusion. Long-term combat training gave her a clear grasp of herself, so she would not have any hallucinations.

Since you heard it right, go and take a look.

Hulim set out, retracing his steps along the same street by which he had come.

Soon she stopped near the corner of the street.

"Judging from the distance of the sound, it should be nearby... but where?"

Hulim looked around carefully and found no signs of fighting, which meant there were no clues.

No, although there are no clues, there should be witnesses...

Hulim looked at the guy who was sitting in the corner of the street not far away, looking a little "miserable".

"Um, may I ask—"

"Oh, my leg! My leg! You broke my leg! Pay me! Pay—"

The guy who was originally sitting on the ground with a "miserable" look suddenly started shouting and screaming the moment Hulim opened his mouth, holding a "broken leg" in his hand that he had taken out from somewhere. The scene looked very creepy.

If someone who didn't know the situation passed by, they might mistakenly think that Hulim had done something cruel to him.

For some reason, the victim suddenly stopped talking the moment he looked up and met the gaze of the "sucker".

“… …”

“… …”

whoosh!

The victim, who originally had a broken leg, now had all four limbs intact. With a very neat movement, he turned around, got up and ran away, not even caring about his broken leg!

Hulim looked at the figure fleeing quickly and couldn't help but tilt her head.

... ...

A minute later,

The victim, who had all his limbs intact, was kneeling in front of Hulim, crying and sobbing.

"...It has nothing to do with me! I was forced into this! I'm a victim too!"

"No... I'm not asking you about anything. I just want to ask, did you see a girl about my age appear around here just now?"

"Ah? You're asking that! Why didn't you tell me earlier? I thought you were here to cause trouble for me!"

When the "victim" heard that it had nothing to do with him, he suddenly became a different person. He took out the wine jug hidden in his sleeve and took a sip to calm himself down. This was also the source of the tears on his face.

Hulim: "..."

"Uh... ahem, well, I see it, I see it."

Sensing that the atmosphere was not right, the "victim" put away the wine jug with a sneer on his face and became reserved.

"Just at the entrance of that alley!"

The "victim" pointed to the alley where Fran was kidnapped.

"Two guys from out of town kidnapped the little girl."

"From out of town?" Hulim glanced at the alley, but couldn't find anyone just by looking at it, so she continued, "Where are they?"
