He asked, "Did Grandpa send this?"
“Yes, Grandpa was complaining that you haven’t been catching them lately, and he might even punish you.” Gu Yanliu said with a smile.
"You brat, all you do is gloat. Do you think I didn't go and catch him?" He turned around and glared at Su Nianxue.
"Knowing it won't help, Grandpa has to understand!"
"Tsk tsk, I guess you're not getting away with this beating this time." Gu Yanliu stared at him with a mocking look.
Gu Yan rolled his eyes, opened his luggage bag, and pulled out a beautifully packaged box of cookies.
The peony flowers on the tin box shimmered in the sunlight, looking absolutely stunning.
Gu Yanliu's eyes brightened as she looked at the box of cookies. "Brother, you bought cookies again? And assorted cookies at that!"
"Hmm!" Gu Yanbai nodded coolly.
“Then…” she looked at Gu Yanbai with anticipation.
"There's none for you." He casually opened the tin box.
He picked out a biscuit and held it to Su Nianxue's lips, "Try it, everyone says it's delicious."
Su Nianxue took a small bite from his hand, her eyes crinkling into a smile, "Mmm, it's delicious!"
Gu Yanliu pouted. "Hmph! This is blatant revenge."
Sigh! I was careless. I should have known better than to laugh at him.
Su Nianxue had already seen through her little trick. She took a cookie from the box and stuffed it into Gu Yanliu's pouting lips. "Try it, it's so delicious!"
"Thank you, sister-in-law!" She glanced at Gu Yanbai smugly, knowing that following her sister-in-law was definitely the right thing to do.
