The hole in the clothes had been patched up. She bit through the thread in one bite, tied a knot, and continued to sew the next tear.

He snatched the clothes from her hands and threw them on the bed, his dark eyes fixed intently on her.

He pulled her into his arms and tickled her under her armpits. "Tell me, do you want to know?"
Su Nianxue laughed as she dodged, "No, let me go."
"Sister-in-law, I picked some bayberries. Do you want some?" Gu Yanliu pushed open the door and asked excitedly.
Stunned by this sudden turn of events, Su Nianxue pushed Gu Yanbai away, "Yanliu, why are you back so soon?"
"Sister-in-law, why didn't you close the door?" She covered her face and ran out.
"It's all your fault!" Su Nianxue straightened her clothes and glared at Gu Yanbai.
"How was I supposed to know she'd be back so soon?" Gu Yanbai simply lay down lazily on the bed.
Su Nianxue pinched his waist, "Behave yourself during the day from now on, you hear me?"
It wouldn't be good if a young girl like Yanliu saw this!
"I heard you. I'll close the door when I come in from now on."
Gu Yanbai turned to look at her, his signature roguish smile returning to his face.
Su Nianxue rolled her eyes; there was no way to communicate with this person.
