Chapter 93 Snow White is Lost!

Ye Shuang finished dressing, rubbed her eyes, and pushed open the door: "Father, Mother, what's wrong?"

The smile that Li had just shown froze on her face when the familiar white figure behind Ye Shuang appeared: "Shuang'er, was Bai Xue in your room last night?"

Ye Shuang glanced at Bai Xue, who was huddled next to her, and nodded: "Yeah, she even crawled under the bed last night. She only crawled out when I woke up just now!"

Li looked at Li Mantian, who forced a stiff smile. Ah, this, he hadn't expected it either.

"I looked for it all morning but couldn't find it. It scared me so much, I thought it was lost!" Li laughed as she grabbed Bai Xue and patted its fur. "Oh dear, this thing is all dirty. It needs a bath."

Ye Shuang tilted her head: "Mom, I'm hungry."

Only then did Madam Li release Bai Xue, pick up Ye Shuang, and say with a smile, "Alright, let's eat then. The steamed buns are very fragrant."

Li Mantian opened the courtyard gate, looked around but Li Wenyi was nowhere to be seen. Oh well, he'll come back eventually if he can't find him. He'll tell him then.

So when Li Wenyi entered the house exhausted at noon, he saw Bai Xue playing with Ye Shuang in the yard. He covered his face with one hand and put his other hand on his hip, almost bursting into tears. He was almost afraid to go home because he couldn't find Bai Xue. Before he came back, he had come up with countless reasons to comfort Shuang'er!

But when Ye Shuang's silvery laughter reached his ears, the anxiety and fatigue of that morning miraculously vanished in an instant. Oh well, as long as it's not lost, as long as it's that laughter.

Three or four peaceful days passed by unnoticed until the day before the Lantern Festival, when Li began to pack up the things she would sell for the festival.

Li Wenyi had already made the stall and cart, and placed them at the pre-arranged stall location. All Li needed to do was take the goods over, arrange them, and hang them up to sell.

At this point, Li Wenyi could not help, since his face was too dangerous in the county town. If he were to take it out, it would probably be snatched up by the town's residents in less than fifteen minutes.

The stall was right in the center of the market, right where the flow of people was the highest. Even though the sun hadn't fully risen yet, the market was already bustling with people, and all sorts of hawking cries were already ringing out.

Li displayed the handkerchiefs, sachets, and various ornaments she had made, while Li Mantian squatted beside the stall, carrying two full baskets of eggs.

Ye Shuang originally wanted to help, but Li Shi firmly refused and handed her over to Li Wenyi. So now she could only sit with Li Wenyi at a tea stall not far from the stall, drinking tea and watching the situation over there.

"Brother, why can't you help Father and Mother?" Ye Shuang didn't understand. Since Li Wenyi had this influence and it wasn't a forced sale, why couldn't he help them?

Li Wenyi smiled and said, "Of course, brother can. And I believe that many people buy things because they need them, and there is no forced buying or selling. But there are definitely some people who buy things they don't need just to please me. Besides, Mother's craftsmanship is so good. If people buy them and then just leave them to gather dust in a corner, wouldn't that be a waste?"

That makes sense. Ye Shuang lowered her eyes and lazily rested her head on the table: "Are Mom and Dad going to sit here all day? What about lunchtime?"
