Chapter 94 This silly brother, he doesn't even know?

"Hmm, more or less. I'll take you to the county government office for lunch. I'll have someone deliver Mom and Dad's meals later." Li Wenyi patted Ye Shuang's head. "What's wrong? Are you tired?"

Ye Shuang shook her head: "No, I just find it a bit boring."

How boring! Li Wenyi looked around; there really wasn't anything interesting on this street. "What does Shuang'er usually do at this time?"

"We'll go up the mountain, or we can help out in the fields," Ye Shuang said listlessly and slowly. "The mountain is so much fun, and every day there are more than a dozen of us going up together to catch fish and pick fruit. It's so lively."

Li Wenyi sighed slightly. Indeed, with so many friends in the village, it would be a bit boring for her to come to the county town all by herself. "How about I take you to listen to storytelling?"

Storytelling? It sounded like a place where she could reasonably drift off into her own world. Ye Shuang sat up and nodded repeatedly, "Okay, okay."

Seeing that she had perked up, Li Wenyi was also a little happier. He then looked at Li Shi and Li Mantian's stall. Under his management, there were no troublemakers around, and the yamen runners would patrol the area regularly, so there was no need to worry too much.

Thinking this, Li Wenyi picked up Ye Shuang and walked in another direction. This teahouse was not far away. It was a two-story building, which was much more upscale than the tea stall. Moreover, as soon as you entered, you could smell the faint aroma of tea slowly wafting over.

Upon entering, one immediately sees a table, a chair, and a screen. The surrounding chairs are arranged around this table and chair. It's still early, and there aren't many customers in the teahouse yet. Li Wenyi casually chooses a table and sits down.

The waiter approached with a bow and a smile, saying, "Master Li, what a rare guest! We have a private room prepared for you on the second floor. Would you like to go there?"

Li Wenyi glanced at Ye Shuang and nodded: "Alright, lead the way."

The waiter flicked the long scarf on his shoulder and led the way with a big smile, directly leading them to a private room where they could see downstairs at a glance—clearly the best room available.

Li Wenyi took out a piece of silver and handed it to him: "Just bring a pot of tea and a plate of snacks. When is the storyteller coming?"

The waiter didn't refuse and accepted the gift respectfully, saying, "Sir, you'll be here soon. Today's story is about the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods; it's very interesting!"

Li Wenyi nodded, looked at Ye Shuang in his arms, and seeing that she was really curious, he put her down.

The room was quite quiet, with flowers in the corner. The door faced the passageway, the table was by the window, and a beaded curtain hung on the window, ensuring that people in the room could see downstairs at a glance, while people downstairs could not easily see upstairs. There was also a chaise lounge in the corner of the room for guests to rest.

Before long, a pot of fine tea and a plate of exquisitely presented snacks were served. The waiter didn't waste any words, put the food away, and left, even thoughtfully closing the door for them.

Having stayed here for a while, Ye Shuang knew exactly how much a tael of silver could buy. Just now, Li Wenyi only gave her about three taels, which probably wasn't even enough to book this room. Tsk, no wonder she accepted the silver so readily. She probably quoted Li Wenyi a low price. Doesn't this silly boy know that yet?
