Chapter 21 Come here and I'll teach you

Gao Yue had a question in his mind. Is she actually a bandit?

Tao Wenwen had already made arrangements. "Just think about it. From the village, we have to take a bullock cart to the town, and from the town, we have to take another cart to the county. It takes such a long journey before we can help you send the telegram."

"The most important thing is that I still have to take you on this trip. After sending the telegram, I have to accompany you and wait for your family to pick you up. The energy spent on this is not worth it."

"It's tiring. That little bit is my reward for my hard work."

Tao Wenwen was speaking with great enthusiasm when a sudden noise from downstairs interrupted her train of thought.

She frowned and looked out the window. She saw two large families headed by the Xu family and the Ma family, followed by a group of villagers, young and old, rushing over and blocking the door of her house.

She retracted her head, looked at Gao Yue, and sighed deeply, "It's all in vain. Now even if you want to leave, you can't."

"What? Those people have come here?" Gao Yue used his ears to try to distinguish the movements downstairs.

He couldn't understand the dialect they spoke, but he could clearly make out the tone and voice of their speech. There must be people of all ages, both men and women, arguing about something.

Not the ones who wanted to harm him.

Gao Yue calmed down temporarily, and occasionally heard people downstairs speaking with an accent similar to Mandarin, saying things like Tao Wenwen, Wang Xiaomin, and "uneducated, father dead," which were all unpleasant words.

"I came to see you." Gao Yue confirmed: "Did you cause trouble outside?"

Tao Wenwen didn't think he had done anything wrong and had no intention of going down to deal with it.

"I was acting in self-defense. They were the ones who hit me first."

She snorted before continuing, "You three can't beat me, yet you still have the nerve to come back? You're not three-year-old kindergarten kids. If you can't beat me, you're just crying and asking your parents for help. Who are you trying to embarrass?"

Gao Yue listened to Tao Wenwen's humming, and there was a smug tone in her voice, like a child who was smug after winning a fight.

She didn't realize it herself and was still calling others childish like little brats.

Gao Yue couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth, but they quickly flattened, so quickly that it made people feel that the previous glimpse was an illusion.

He kindly reminded her, "The gossipy women in the countryside are not so easy to deal with. Some of them like to smooth things over. If you don't explain things clearly, you might become the target of the whole village the next day."

Tao Wenwen shrugged nonchalantly, "So what?"

"You'll be fine, but your mother will be in a difficult situation." Gao Yue said, "I heard you mentioned Aunt Wang. I think you don't want her to be scolded or wronged, right?"

Tao Wenwen moved his lips but couldn't speak.

Wang Xiaomin is not her real mother, but she really can't bear to see Wang Xiaomin being wronged.

Perhaps it was because of the original owner's memories? Or perhaps it was because of Wang Xiaomin's thoughtful care for her during this period?

Tao Wenwen couldn't describe the feeling in her heart, she just felt that it was quite subtle, a feeling she had never experienced from the so-called mother in her previous life.

She didn't hate this feeling, she even liked it.

I also thought that it wouldn’t be bad to live like this forever.

But this quiet life is about to be disrupted by the noisy group of people downstairs.

Thinking of this, Tao Wenwen frowned deeply again.

"You're right. I have to resolve this matter before it gets any more trouble!"

After she finished speaking, she rummaged through the drawers in the room and finally found a broom by the door.

"What are you doing?" Gao Yue asked.

Tao Wenwen rolled up his sleeves and said, "Kill them away!"

When Gao Yue heard the sound of rummaging through drawers and cabinets, he guessed that something bad must be wrong. He didn't expect that she would have such an idea.

This beating, which was originally unjust, has become what she deserved.

"You're stupid." Gao Yue waved in the direction where Tao Wenwen was speaking, and said with a sigh of helplessness: "Come here, I'll teach you how to do it."
