Chapter 50 A Family Fortune

"No need to get it, I still have some here." Without hiding it from Liu Yun, he took a cloth bag from the trunk where he kept his clothes under the bed, counted out five hundred yuan, and gave it to Liu Yun.

It was clear there was still quite a bit left, at least a thousand yuan, but Liu Yun didn't ask any more questions. She took the money, packed her things, and went to sleep. She planned to take the triplets to her mother's place early the next morning and then look at apartments.

"Cuckoo, cuckoo, it's six o'clock, six o'clock..."

She was woken up by the alarm clock early the next morning. When she found out that it could be used as an alarm clock, Liu Yun felt that she was ignorant.

This is the panda clock that Yu Qian gave her when he went to Shanghai on a business trip. I thought it was just an ordinary clock, but I didn't expect it to be an alarm clock.

Moreover, it was from the Qing Dynasty, over a hundred years old. When Yu Qianhe bought it, it was already broken and stopped working. He bought the parts and repaired it himself before giving it to her. She had thought it was just an ordinary clock, but she never expected it could be used as an alarm clock, let alone be an antique. Liu Yun had only one thought in her mind at that moment: she had made a fortune.

The two were too lazy to cook breakfast, so they made a bowl of milk for each of the triplets, fed them some biscuits, and then went out.

When they arrived at the Yu family's place, Yu's mother hadn't cooked breakfast yet. Yu's father didn't say anything when he heard their purpose, knowing that his son had a plan. He only told him that no one would cause him any trouble. Liu Yun and Yu Qianhe breathed a sigh of relief when they heard this.

Upon hearing the location, Yu's mother knew it was the house they had bought in their previous life. That house was truly excellent; although it wasn't within the demolition area, it was in a prime location—a river-view property!

Since Mother Yu was too lazy to cook breakfast, the group decided to eat at a state-run restaurant.

The breakfast at the state-run restaurant this morning was pretty good; they had chicken soup wontons. Liu Yun loves wontons, but she doesn't know how to make the wonton wrappers, so she can only get them when she goes out to eat, and even then, it depends on luck; they're not available every day.

Liu Yun ordered a bowl of wontons. The triplets had drunk milk at home, so the three of them shared one bowl. The other three ate rice noodles, four fried dough sticks, and four meat buns. Since they were eating out, they decided to eat things they rarely ate at home.

After breakfast, Yu's parents took the child back home, and Liu Yun and her husband went to look at houses.
