Chapter 81 Liu Aidang sets up a stall

Liu Aidang chattered on and on, introducing people to clothes that looked good, which clothes sold well, and how to match them. She put what she had learned from Liu Jing's shop into practice. Meanwhile, Li Hui carried a cloth bag and efficiently collected the money. This was the advantage of having more people; she didn't have to be as flustered as she had been when Liu Aidang was alone.

The two were so busy they didn't even have time to drink water. In the end, they were completely overwhelmed and couldn't keep up at all.

Even after they sold out, the crowd was still packed in layers to watch the spectacle, while the two women felt their throats were parched and their lips were chapped. Liu Aidang, in particular, hadn't brought any water the day before because he hadn't brought any, and his voice was hoarse. He had brought a whole bottle of water today, but it still wasn't enough. Li Hui, seeing him talking non-stop, didn't dare drink much herself and saved it all for Liu Aidang, but it didn't help much either, as both of their throats were burning.

But in an unfamiliar place, carrying so much money, the two dared not linger and quickly packed up their stall and headed back to their rented room.

When they got home, they started gulping down water from the bucket until they were both full and started burping.

The two looked at each other, saw each other's silly and embarrassed expressions, and burst out laughing.

Since both of them are here today, there's no need to go back to count the money. We can sort the money here before going back.

Once inside the room and with the doors and windows closed, the two began counting their money.

Li Hui: "I have 628."

Liu Aidang: "I have 642."

Li Hui: "It's 1,270 in total. The two of us earned 270 today, and adding that to the day before yesterday, it's 393. In less than a week, we've earned almost 400 yuan."

Liu Aidang: "Wife, are we about to strike it rich?"

Li Hui: "Yes. You should rest tomorrow; your voice is completely hoarse. I'll go back to my parents' house tomorrow and ask around to see if anyone needs a job; I'll sell mine."

Liu Aidang: "Wife, have you thought this through? Once you sell it, there's no turning back. You know how hard it is to find this kind of job these days."

Li Hui: "Do you think you can manage today? And look at all this money. Do you think I need to think about it? You've earned more in just one week than I did in a whole year before. Do you think I need to think about it?"

Liu Aidang: "Wife, don't worry, I will definitely make sure you live a good life."

Li Hui: "Okay, I know. But if I go back to my parents' house to talk about work, we won't be able to hide our stall business anymore. What if my brother and his friends want to get involved?"

Liu Aidang: "It's alright, we're too busy anyway, we can just do it together. It's just that we can't make a living like this for long. Our business is good because there are still few middlemen in the county and town, and the market hasn't opened up yet. In the city, it's like this everywhere, and we can't earn much anymore, but it's still more than working a regular job. What we need to do now is to take advantage of the fact that there are fewer people selling in these counties and towns, and try not to miss any market days. But there are always some markets that come together, and if my brother-in-law and the others join in, we can split up and do our own thing."

Liu Aidang is not ungrateful. Over the years, his parents-in-law and brothers-in-law have been incredibly good to him and his wife. Now that he has the opportunity to help them out, it is only right that he does so.

By the time the two returned home, it was completely dark, and their stomachs were rumbling. Although Liu's mother didn't know where they had gone, she still left them dinner.

As soon as they saw the food, the two of them began to wolf it down.

Seeing this, Liu's mother couldn't help but frown.

Liu's mother: "What have you been doing? I haven't seen you since early this morning."

Liu Aidang: "We went to my mother-in-law's house. Yesterday, my mother-in-law asked us to go there early, but we didn't expect it to take so long."

Liu's mother: "What happened to them?"

Liu Aidang: "They're fine, they just asked us for a small favor."

Seeing the two of them like this, Liu's mother didn't ask any more questions. But Xu Hongxing wasn't so perceptive.

"What's going on! I haven't seen them all day, but they show up when it's time to eat. I've been helping them all day and they don't even give me a meal."

Liu Aidang wasn't going to let her get away with it: "You don't need to worry about that, sister-in-law. You should sort out your own family's affairs first! Your own family is in a mess, so don't meddle in other people's family matters. As for meals, my husband and I think we paid our living expenses! We shouldn't have eaten your food! Or is it that you don't want us to eat at home and want to separate the family? That's not impossible."

Xu Hongxing: "You..."

Xu Hongxing didn't dare to say anything, after all, her man wouldn't spoil her like that, and he didn't care what others said about her. She could only glare at Li Hui with jealousy.

Li Hui: ...It's just so inexplicable, okay?

Mother Liu: "Alright, your throat is already in such bad shape and you still can't stop talking. Make yourself a cup of monk fruit tea before you go to sleep."

Liu Aidang: "Okay, Mom."

The next day, Li Hui took leave to go back to her parents' home to talk about selling her job and see if anyone wanted to take it on.

Liu Jing, Liu Yun, Liu Aidang, and Li Hui all shared a surprisingly consistent opinion on this matter. They hadn't even considered the Liu family. Although many members of the Liu family were still in the countryside and needed to work, they couldn't do anything about having Xu Hongxing in the family. They didn't want to cause any trouble and preferred to keep things simple.

Liu Aidang ignored Li Hui's advice to rest at home and went directly to Liu Jing to pick up another 1,000 yuan worth of goods.

It's not that he doesn't want to take more, but he can only carry this much by himself. He'll take this much today and come back with his wife tomorrow. This time, they have to stock up on enough goods. After all, given the personalities of his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, they'll definitely get involved in this kind of money-making business. Since they have enough manpower, they should stock up on more goods. After all, the more money they can earn, the more money they can earn. Who would complain about having too much money?
