It's not that people can't afford to buy it normally; it's that they don't buy it normally because they don't have enough fabric coupons, or the patterns aren't nice enough. They always think they'll buy it when they find a nice fabric, not because they can't afford it.
Before the market even closed, Liu Aidang had sold out of his goods. Even he himself hadn't expected to sell five hundred yuan worth of goods in just one day.
With so much money on him, he didn't dare linger. He packed up his things, put them back in the rented room, and waited until it was almost dark before heading home.
As soon as he entered the house, he put the cloth bag that he had hidden inside his clothes into the quilt in his room.
Seeing her husband's smiling face, Li Hui knew that today's business would definitely go well, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
Although she said nice things at the time, it was just to comfort Liu Aidang; she herself had no confidence at all.
After finishing their meal and returning to their room, Li Hui asked in a low voice.
Li Hui: "How's it going? Is everything alright?"
Liu Aidang: "All the goods are sold out, but I haven't counted the money yet. I wanted to wait with you, but I should have made quite a bit. There were too many people today, and I was completely overwhelmed. I was just afraid of making a mistake when counting the money."
They finally waited until the children were asleep before opening the cloth bag and starting to count the money.
Li Hui was shocked when she opened the cloth and saw the huge bag of money. Liu Aidang was the same; he only knew there was a big bag, but the sight of the money lying naked in front of him was still quite impactful.
The two of them started counting the bills one by one, until their hands were trembling.
Li Hui: "A total of six hundred and twenty-three."
Liu Aidang: "Wife, pinch me quickly, am I dreaming?"
Li Hui also gave Liu Aidang a twist on the waist without any hesitation.
Liu Aidang's face contorted in pain. "It hurts, it hurts, it hurts! Wife, let go! I'm not dreaming! I earned 123 in one day! Not 23, but 123! Not a month, but a day! Even if it were a month, 123 would be a lot! We're rich! We're rich! Wife, we're rich! I knew following my older sisters would be a good thing!"
Li Hui also smiled broadly, "Yes! We will definitely follow our eldest and second eldest sisters closely."
Liu Aidang: "Hmph, Liu Aiguo is a complete idiot. He looks down on people every day. Now he has offended them badly and can't even get a taste of the good stuff."
Li Hui: "Do you think I should buy my job too and set up a stall with you?"
Liu Aidang: "Wait a minute, I'll go get some more goods from my older sister and the others tomorrow. There's a market in Xizhen this Sunday, which is the day after tomorrow. Let's go there and set up a stall. If business is still this good, then you can sell your job too."
Li Hui: "Okay, then take more stock tomorrow. Didn't you say you didn't have enough to sell today?"
Liu Aidang: "Then give me another two hundred yuan, and we'll take eight hundred yuan worth of goods this time."
Li Hui: "Just take a thousand. We've already taken it. And although the next market is in town, it's on Sunday, so there will be even more people. Also, there are fewer nice fabrics in town, so these bright clothes should sell better."
Liu Aidang: "Okay, I'll do whatever you say."
Even though he was exhausted from the previous day, Liu Aidang woke up early the next morning and went straight to Jinyige after breakfast.
Liu Aidang: "Sister, I've sold out all the goods from yesterday. Please prepare another thousand yuan worth of goods for me today. Here's the money."
Liu Jing: "Are they all sold out?"
Liu Aidang: "Sold out, not a single item left, even the hair ties are sold out."
Liu Jing: "Those middlemen are mainly still operating in the city, not in the county towns or townships. You should be able to sell your goods a few more times, but as more and more people come to sell, your business will become less prosperous."
Liu Aidang: "I know, that's why I'm planning to take more. Tomorrow, my wife and I will go to the market in town. If business is good, my wife is also planning to sell her job."
Liu Jing: "Tomorrow is Sunday, so we can get more styles for younger people."
So Liu Aidang went back with lots of bags and packages.
The couple set off at the crack of dawn the next day, without even having breakfast. The market in town was farther than the one in the county, so Liu Aidang had borrowed a bicycle the day before. The two of them each rode one bicycle, each carrying two huge cloth bags, and they made their way to town, wobbling along.
By the time the two arrived in town, it was already broad daylight. The market was full of stalls selling all kinds of food. The two were starving, so they found a stall and ate a bowl of noodles.
After calming my stomach, I set up my stall. By then, the market was already quite crowded. After setting up the stall and hanging up my clothes, a large crowd had gathered in front of it.
Surrounded by so many people, Li Hui was a little hesitant to act freely, while Liu Aidang, having already had experience once, began to call out very skillfully.
"Come and take a look! The hottest clothes in the city! People from the provincial capital are buying them! Don't miss out, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! You won't regret it!"
Not only were the people around them stunned by Liu Aidang's shout, but even Li Hui was taken aback. She knew that Liu Aidang was eloquent, and even her parents said that he was a slippery eel, but this was the first time she had seen this side of him.
With Liu Aidang's shouts, half the people in the market successfully gathered around, making the area completely packed. One group of people attracted another group to watch the excitement, and one group attracted another group, successfully forming a three-layered encirclement around the stall.
The first item to open today was hair ties. That's how it is when you buy things; once one person starts, others follow one after another.
This applies to ordinary things, let alone rare and attractive fabrics that don't require tickets!
