Chapter 160: Tracking Down Their Whereabouts
Just as the two were talking, Si Zuochen walked in from outside. When he saw Old Master Si appear in the villa, a look of surprise flashed across his face.
After inquiring, she learned that Si Yanxiao was ill. She disregarded the distance they had maintained over the past period and hurriedly ran upstairs to visit him.
Seeing his actions, Old Master Si felt a sense of satisfaction.

During Si Yanxiao's illness, the old master asked Jiang Ran to take good care of him, ostensibly to promote their relationship. Jiang Ran, who also had her own selfish motives and wanted to take the opportunity to absorb the spiritual energy in his body, readily agreed.
Just as Jiang Ran was applying the ointment to him, a corner of a jade pendant suddenly peeked out from under the pillow. A look of doubt flashed across Jiang Ran's face, and she reached out and pulled it out herself.
It was a pair of jade pendants, but it was clearly only half; there should be a matching half. Her gaze swept over Si Yanxiao and then noticed that he had placed it under his pillow, which showed how much he valued this item.
He instantly understood and secretly guessed that the other half should be in Bai Zhuwei's hands.
Looking down at Si Yanxiao, she suddenly sneered, "It can't be a token of love, can it?"
Little did I know that my casual remark would hit the nail on the head.
He then closed his eyes slightly, gripped the jade pendant tightly, and began to examine it by channeling his spiritual energy into it.
Suddenly, some of Si Yanxiao and Bai Zhuwei's past interactions flashed through Jiang Ran's mind. She stared intently at Bai Zhuwei and keenly observed that there was no death aura on her body. Moreover, she could vaguely see some recent events. Her eyes sharpened, and she suddenly opened them.
She is indeed still alive!
It seems Si Yanxiao's insistence was correct...
This means that Master Si's information was wrong, but he didn't seem to be lying. So, was it just a coincidence that he didn't die, or was someone deliberately arranging this?
As Jiang Ran pondered this, she couldn't help but feel a little suspicious.
Then, she stared blankly at Si Yanxiao. Seeing that his eyes flickered slightly and he seemed to be waking up, she quickly composed herself and looked down at him.
Si Yanxiao slowly woke up, and the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was Jiang Ran standing in front of him. He reflexively frowned, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes, and said coldly, "What are you doing here?"
Jiang Ran pursed her lips slightly and explained softly, "You have a fever, and the old man instructed me to take care of you."
Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao's expression turned cold, and he completely rejected her kindness: "I don't need it. Get out of my sight."
Jiang Ran listened, slowly shook her head, and continued with her own actions: "No, the old man instructed me to."
"Can't you understand human language?" Si Yanxiao felt a wave of exhaustion wash over him, which made him quite irritable as well: "Get lost!"
Seeing his bluntness, Jiang Ran's eyes narrowed, and she replied coldly, "I'm only ignoring you because you're sick. Don't push your luck."
As she spoke, she paused slightly, noticing his unpleasant expression, and then continued, "You're so kind, yet you don't appreciate it at all. People like you should just be left to faint!"
"You!" Si Yanxiao's expression changed drastically. Just as he was about to retort, Si Youlin suddenly pushed the door open and entered. Seeing that Si Yanxiao was already awake, his eyes lit up and he quickly went to the bedside.
His face was full of joy: "Daddy!" Si Yanxiao nodded slightly, and Si Youlin then noticed that there seemed to be a slight chill in the air, and suddenly realized that the two of them had been arguing.
Her eyes flashed, and she turned to look at Jiang Ran, giving her a wink before speaking directly, "The butler was looking for you just now, I wonder what it's about."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Ran was slightly taken aback, then realized that he was making an excuse to get rid of her.
As it happened, she didn't want to keep disliking Si Yanxiao, so she responded softly.
After she left, Si Yanxiao's expression softened slightly. Si Youlin sat down beside him, peeling fruit for him, and asked, "How does your wound feel now? Does it still hurt?"
Si Yanxiao pursed his lips slightly and replied softly, "Much better."
Si Youlin nodded in agreement, then casually remarked, "That's good. I thought her ointment hadn't worked."
"Ointment?" Si Yanxiao looked puzzled. "What do you mean?"
"Don't you know?" Si Youlin feigned surprise and explained, "Your high fever wouldn't go down, and she was the one who took care of you the whole time. She also made a special ointment for you to apply three times a day."
Hearing his explanation, Si Yanxiao frowned and looked slightly taken aback.
If Si Youlin hadn't said these things, he wouldn't have known that Jiang Ran had been taking care of him quietly.
But when he woke up, he scolded her harshly. Thinking of this, Si Yanxiao's heart trembled and a strange look flashed in his eyes.
Meanwhile, after Jiang Ran left, she drove straight to Jiang Yuechen's residence. Jiang Yuechen was surprised by her sudden visit and quickly invited her in, asking, "Why did you suddenly come to see me? Is there something you need?"
Jiang Ran nodded and replied softly, "There is indeed something I need your help with."
He then explained, "I'm looking for someone, but I only have a single clue. I need to send someone to investigate, but I don't have the manpower..."
She glossed over Bai Zhuwei's matter, since knowing about it wouldn't do him any good and would only increase his dislike for Si Yanxiao.
“Okay.” Jiang Yuechen never refused Jiang Ran’s requests, and without asking any further questions, he went straight to asking for clues.
Jiang Ran connected the fleeting images that flashed through her mind when she touched the mandarin duck jade pendant, and slowly said, "It looks like an apartment, a loft structure, by the sea, and you can see fig trees from the window."
As he spoke, he paused slightly, a hint of hesitation flashing in his eyes, as if he were recalling something.
"There are also frequent sounds of arguing upstairs, it seems like it's been going on for a long time."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yuechen's expression hardened, and he parted his thin lips slightly. Lian Sheng agreed, "Okay, leave this to me."
“I’ll send someone to pinpoint the location first, and then start with that arguing couple. Once we know where they live, we can pinpoint the location of the person you’re looking for.”
"Mmm." Jiang Ran nodded and echoed, "Okay."
Jiang Yuechen maneuvered his wheelchair to the side, then took out his phone and made a call. He gave a brief explanation, and soon the exact location was relayed from the other end.
"Kowloon Sea?" Jiang Ran frowned slightly upon hearing this. In her memory, this was the closest beach to the slums.
Therefore, the person Si Yanxiao saw late that night was indeed her.
Why does she have to hide, revealing a hint of something before disappearing completely?
Jiang Ran's eyes were full of doubt, then her gaze turned cold as a mystery was revealed. What secrets were hidden behind this? Only time would tell.
Thinking of this, a resolute look flashed across his face, and then he got up and left.
He sped along the location he had found, and when he arrived at his destination, he went straight upstairs. Just as he was about to knock on the door, he glanced around and suddenly noticed that the door was not closed, but rather ajar.
Upon seeing this, Jiang Ran frowned slightly, and a bad thought flashed through her mind.
Nevertheless, she politely knocked twice. Receiving no response, she pushed the door open and asked, "Is anyone home?"
As Jiang Ran walked through the entrance hall into the house, she was immediately shocked by what she saw. The room was in complete disarray, with drawers wide open and clothes scattered all over the floor, clearly indicating that someone had rummaged through it.
Then, with a quick glance, he saw that everything on the table was scattered on the floor, with a water glass shattered on the floor, leaving a mess.
One can vaguely guess what happened in this environment, and one can see traces of resistance here.
Seeing this, Jiang Ran's expression changed slightly, and she couldn't help but curse inwardly, "Damn it! We're still a step too late."
After saying that, he stepped into the inner room and carefully examined everything inside.
Then, a thought struck him, and he began searching the entire room, trying to find something that could confirm Bai Zhuwei's identity.
After all, although she was certain that she lived there, she needed to present something substantial to convince others.
I thought I would get nothing, but to my surprise, I found a familiar jade pendant in the bedside table at the end.
Jiang Ran's eyes flickered slightly as she recognized that this piece was clearly a pair with Si Yanxiao's.
She examined the jade pendant carefully, and was about to probe it with her spiritual energy to see if she could find anything about Bai Zhuwei when a series of hurried footsteps suddenly came from outside the door.
Jiang Ran instinctively reached to put the jade pendant in her pocket, but a sharp shout suddenly came from behind her.
