Chapter 215 Jian Xin is injured

Seeing the village chief arrive, Jian Dan didn't linger. He was worried about Jian Xin's injury and didn't want to let Tang Cui off the hook, so he slapped her a few more times before angrily carrying Jian Xin to find Old Chen.

Although he only had a superficial understanding of medicine, he wouldn't feel at ease without examining her.

The educated youth exchanged glances. Li Yan and a few others, along with Mingzhu who had rushed over, followed along. The remaining male educated youth were arguing with Liu Weimin.

Old Chen examined the wound for a long time, looking at the wrist and eyelids, and treated the external injuries.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious, but from what you’ve said, if you’ve fallen, there’s a possibility of a concussion. If you want a thorough examination, you’ll have to go to the county hospital. It’s going to take so long. If you ask me, you might as well go to Liujiatun and let the old man take a look at you.”

"You all know each other, so it should be easier to talk to you."

He also knew about the time in winter when he carried the old man back from the pit.

Li Yan also remembered.

"Yes, Dandan, shall we go find that old man? I remember the village chief said he's quite capable."

Old Chen interjected.

"That's true, they're even better than the doctors at the hospital."

"How about it? It takes several hours to get to the county town now,"

Take a quick look at the little girl in your arms,

"Is there anything else that's bothering you? Are you dizzy?"

The little girl shook her head.

"I'm not dizzy anymore, it's just here, and my back hurts."

Several girls almost gritted their teeth. When they saw the bruises on the little girl's back, tears welled up in their eyes. They regretted not letting Jian Dan slap her a few more times.

Jian Dan had calmed down. Tang Cui would definitely have to pay the price, but there was no rush. As long as she was still in Liujiatun, she would slowly grind her down with a dull knife and not let her get away with it.

"Let's go to Liujiatun."

There isn't even a bicycle in the village. When something happens, the only means of transportation is an oxcart, which is only slightly faster than walking and is quite a luxury.

However, Jian Dan couldn't wait to go back, so she simply carried the child and headed towards the village entrance. When people are in a hurry, they speed up.

"It's okay, don't worry, we'll go with you. We'll take turns carrying Xin Xin."

I simply felt an itch in my nose, but aside from everything else, everyone I met was very nice.

Before even reaching the village entrance, Li Yan could see what appeared to be two figures in front of a house in the distance. She squinted and watched for a while.

"Dandan, was that person looking for you? Was it the soldier who drove here last time?"

Li Yan was referring to the time when Dahei displayed its power; several of her friends were present at the scene.

Jian Dan looked up and saw that the people over there had obviously noticed the team as well. The two of them seemed to say something and then quickly ran over to them.

As they got closer, Jian Dan could see them clearly; they were the same two people from the morning.

"What happened? What happened to Xin Xin's hand?"

Without any hesitation, he handed the child directly to Cheng Chao.

“She was bitten by a rabid dog. I’m worried she might have other injuries, so I’m thinking of going to Liujiatun next door to ask Grandpa Liu to take a look.”

As she spoke, she swung her arms. Although she was strong, she was still quite sore after carrying the child and walking briskly for so long.

"Sister Yan, you should go back first. With them here, everything will be fine. I'll tell you what happened when I get back."

Mingzhu didn't recognize him, but Li Yan and the others had met him before. After a brief conversation with the soldier, they could tell that they were familiar with him. Besides, the uniforms he was wearing were the greatest sign of their trust.

He nodded immediately.

"Okay, let's go back. Don't rush. If anything happens, come back and tell us. There are so many of us here."

He nodded briefly and was about to leave when Tiger rushed over, turning back to call out to him every now and then.

"Hurry up, hurry up!"

Simply greet them.

"Tiger, what happened? Were you injured too?"

Tiger bared his little teeth.

"Sister, I'm fine. I need to tell you something. You need to take them away quickly. Ruyi and the others bit that bad woman several times, and she's bleeding. She's still crying there, and she might come over and cause you a scene later."

I hadn't even noticed them before; I never expected that we'd be able to use their help.

Simple and happy, he waved his hand.

"It's okay, I'm not afraid of her at all. She bullied Xin Xin first, and she bullied you too. Even the little dog couldn't stand it anymore."

Don't be afraid, go home and comfort Xiaohua. Tell your grandma everything is alright. I'll take Xinxin to see a doctor, and we'll be back soon. We'll come play with you all again when we get back.

Jian Dan, the three adults and one child left the village, while Li Yan and the others led Hu Zi back.

"Tiger, was Tang Cui really bitten by Ruyi?"

"Really, Sister Yan, your smile is too obvious!"

Once they left the village, Jian Wenxiu took the child in his arms, his face dark the entire time.

At first, I felt a little guilty, but as I walked along, I realized something was wrong. This is my child, why should I feel guilty?

He immediately straightened his head and puffed out his chest again.

Cheng Chao had a feeling that the two people were acting strangely, and the atmosphere was odd too. After thinking for a moment, he leaned closer to Jian Dan and asked in a low voice,

What happened?

The child in front eagerly spoke up.

“That bad person, we were playing over there, and she called me a bastard, called them little beggars, pushed me, and threw me out. Look, my hand is bleeding!”

The little girl had lived in the city, so she naturally knew quite a bit. Her big eyes blinked rapidly.

"Tiger Brother and the others aren't beggars. They all have parents. And I'm not a bastard either. Uh, what does bastard mean?"

Jian Wenxiu's face was as dark as black ink. He unconsciously tightened his grip on the child. The little girl didn't seem to notice. She nestled on his shoulder, bouncing around like in a rocking horse, and soon fell asleep.

Jian Wenxiu was even more cautious, barely daring to breathe. He dodged Cheng Chao's attempt to switch places, and couldn't help but ask Jian...

What does he mean by that?

Simply roll your eyes.

"How would I know? But you went out with him, and you still haven't gotten any information out of him?"

What could Cheng Chao say? This older brother only said one thing: he might really be Xin Xin's uncle. That was it.

He had a whole bunch of wild ideas running through his mind, but unfortunately, he didn't dare say a word.

"Why are you back so soon?"

If he couldn't figure something out, Cheng Chao would put it aside, scratch his head, and follow along with Simple's steps.

“We went up the mountain and circled around, but he ran away halfway there. When he came back, he grabbed me and insisted on coming back to find you. I don’t know what’s going on.”

However, he did manage to hunt quite a few animals. Once, he encountered a wild boar, and he insisted on hunting it himself, refusing to let anyone else touch it. What could have been killed in a few blows, he deliberately whittled down the prey. In the end, it was a sorry sight; his body was covered in wounds, his skin riddled with holes.

Jian Dan just thought Cheng Chao was a really strange person. He didn't understand when he should have, and he understood things very clearly when he shouldn't have. Was he killing a wild boar? Was he going to eat the meat?

That's just venting your anger, okay?
