The flight attendants inside also got up and walked into the aisle, where they bumped into two people. Seeing the man, they immediately called out to him.
"Excuse me, sir, could you lend me a hand and help me hold on?"
She naturally reached out to stop him, and the man froze. Without a word, the flight attendant grabbed his arm and pulled him two steps inside, placing her hand on the swaying back of the seat.
"Brother, could you hold this for me? There's a screw down here that I can't reach. Hold on tight and don't move it!"
The man impatiently helped her up, frequently turning back to look at the woman who was gradually entering the carriage. His fierceness in his eyes was undisguised, and his emotions were somewhat irritable.
He simply followed the woman inside, glancing at her nonchalantly as they passed by.
"Hey bro, the train conductor over there is fixing something, do you think you can help?"
In the blink of an eye, Cheng Chao agreed and stood up, rolling up his sleeves as he peered towards the carriage entrance.
"Okay, I'll go take a look. I haven't done anything for days, and my hands are itching to get started."
It's as if I just saw her being close to the woman in front of her, so I got up and casually separated a few people who wanted to take up seats.
"That's perfect. Come on over, sit down and rest for a while, have some water."
Jian Dan grabbed the woman and forced her into Cheng Chao's seat, pushing aside the person who had been sitting there earlier, who looked clearly unhappy.
"What are you doing? You're so young, and you don't even know how to respect the elderly and care for the young. What kind of thinking is this? Selfish and selfish, and not united at all!"
He forced the man into a chair, waved for Cheng Chao to leave first—simple and ruthless.
"Respect the elderly and care for the young?"
Oh dear, that's true, you're quite old now.
But you're so old, and your children still let you go out alone. Isn't that incredibly unfilial?
Tsk tsk, they even bought you a standing ticket, tsk tsk!
You must be exhausted. You can't blame anyone else for this; you should go back and find your unfilial descendants.
Well, it's just my brother. He's kind-hearted, respects the elderly and cares for the young, is selfless, and unites the masses.
"Seeing your age, and that you're a complete stranger, they're still kindly letting you rest here. Your unfilial children should learn a thing or two from my brother."
The old lady turned pale with anger, her lips trembling in the sweltering summer heat. She simply pushed the woman further inside and sat down on the side herself.
"Look at you, look at you, are you angry now?"
You also feel that your child doesn't value you, right?
Grandma, you must hold on. Even if you want to take care of the children, you have to go back. Don't rush things. It's not worth ruining your health if you get upset.
"Kids won't understand, so give them a good spanking."
Everyone around them bit their lips and covered their faces, afraid of bursting out laughing.
The old lady was also swaying precariously, but she was probably angry.
He simply pursed his lips.
"Grandma, you must hold on! Let me tell you, if you really faint from the exhaustion of standing room only, tsk tsk! Your children and grandchildren will be in big trouble!"
Who knows? They might even find out about your workplace and start talking behind your back.
You said there are no seated tickets, then are there no sleeper berths either? Oh, right, sleeper berths are so expensive!
Grandma, don't say I'm bad about your children and grandchildren. You tell me, if they're like this, they can't even bear to part with their own mothers, sigh, who can trust them? If you were the leader, would you trust them?
Tsk tsk!
She clicked her tongue and turned away, no longer looking at her. The old lady felt cold all over, her hands gripping the back of the chair tightly. She knew she was talking nonsense, but she couldn't help but wonder if it was really because the ticket was expensive and she was reluctant to spend the money, so her son bought her a standing ticket.
But I didn't dare to actually faint; what if what that brat said was true?
Looking at the simple figure from behind, she wished she could pounce on him and slap him a few times to vent her anger, but she dared not do anything. She had to hold on tight and stand firm, afraid that she might be pushed by the people coming and going, and then it would be hard to explain.
The woman who had been standing there earlier had now come to her senses. She looked around cautiously, her hand trembling slightly as she held Jian Dan's hand. She gritted her teeth and dared not utter a sound.
He took simple, light photos while peering towards the carriage entrance.
When Cheng Chao came over, he blocked the man's view. In a moment of distraction, he couldn't find the woman from before, and his anger flared up instantly.
As she let go and tried to walk away, Cheng Chao, who was coming from the opposite direction, grabbed her by the neck and led her to the space between two carriages. The train attendant quickly put away her tools, followed a few steps behind, and muttered loudly as she walked.
"Oh dear, I'm exhausted! I'm so grateful for this kind man's help!"
The passengers in the second row hadn't seen anything at all. Most of them were still quite simple-minded; seeing this, they chuckled and turned to discuss it with their companions.
"You know what, there are still a lot of good people out there!"
You can't judge a person's character by appearances alone. Anyway, right now, the man and Cheng Chao are fighting at the connection between the carriages.
He couldn't figure out when he had been exposed, or who this person was, meddling in his affairs and being so skilled. He knew he wouldn't be able to get his hands on him anytime soon, so he darted through the crack in the carriage door.
Cheng Chao saw the figure opposite him, but didn't chase after it. He straightened up and just looked at it, with a hint of mockery in his eyes.
The flight attendant stepped forward, intending to close the carriage door directly, but upon seeing the dark figure rushing towards her, she didn't panic. As soon as the door closed, she turned around and kicked him.
The junction of the two carriages was only a few steps away. This kick landed squarely on his stomach, slamming him against the opposite carriage, his feet leaving the ground.
Cheng Chao leaned back lazily and gave a thumbs up.
"Your skills are as good as ever!"
The flight attendant impatiently pulled the person off the plane, tied their hands behind their back, and pinned them to the ground.
"Stop doing that. You're really bored, spending so much time playing around with him?"
"Shouldn't we be waiting for you? What do you mean by this?"
"You didn't know you were coming?"
Cheng Chao, with a hint of smugness,
"Then you see, aren't we like family? Isn't it a matter of mutual understanding?"
This person must have done something wrong, so Cheng Chao naturally wouldn't reveal any information about his sister.
"Alright, you can go ahead and get busy. I'm going back now. Just let me know if you need any help."
Cheng Chao pointed to the carriage they had just come out of and nodded in acknowledgment.
It wasn't the time for reminiscing, and the flight attendant knew it too. She waved to her colleague in the opposite carriage, gagged him, put a hood over his head, and forced him to walk in the opposite direction.
Cheng Chao casually lowered his shirt sleeves and walked back to his seat, standing protectively beside Jian Dan.
A short while later, several train attendants came from the front of the train, carrying ticket holders, and entered the carriage to begin making announcements.
"Take out your tickets, keep an eye on your belongings, and don't get out of bed or move around unnecessarily. We're starting to check tickets now."
Immediately, some people huddled together, wishing they could be ignored. Even the woman next to Jian Dan rummaged through her pockets, looking anxious.
"You didn't buy a ticket?"
