Chapter 936 New Life

They went out happily, but when they came back, their expressions were all different.

The child was still happy, but he was tired from playing. When he came back, he was so sleepy that he could barely keep his eyes open. Fortunately, Qin Qinghuai washed his hands and face, and then he fell asleep almost as soon as his head hit the pillow.

The couple, however, seemed to have some odd expressions on their faces.

The old lady took the two pheasants she had hunted on her way back from over the wall. She didn't want to interfere in the young couple's family matters, but seeing her son's expression, she was still uneasy and asked in a low voice.

"What happened to you two? Did you upset your daughter-in-law?"

Qin Qinghuai, “…”

Speechless.

"Can't you wish me well for once?"

"Fine, fine, you're something else. I noticed your daughter-in-law didn't seem too happy either. Can you honestly say it has nothing to do with you?"

"Grandma, can you be reasonable for once?"

Why does it have to be related to me? There are three people in my family, not just two. Why are you putting all this on my shoulders?

The old lady sensed his resentment and simply rolled her eyes at him.

"Oh, so you mean it was my granddaughter who caused this? She's only three years old, and she went out with her parents today. How could she possibly have had the chance to cause trouble? If you want to blame someone, you should at least find a suitable person to blame."

"You're a grown man, why are you getting more and more confused as you get older?"

After saying that, the old lady picked up the pheasant and strode back into the house, ignoring her dumbfounded son behind her.

Qin Qinghuai was also helpless. This old lady was getting more and more lively as she got older.

After waking up from a nap, the little one was still thinking about roast meat, clamoring to roast meat for his grandparents and brother. The couple had no choice but to discuss it with the old lady, and decided to roast the rabbit they had and send the two chickens over to make beggar's chicken.

With so many people, there wasn't much food, so it wasn't really suitable as a main dish. However, it was a token of the little one's goodwill, a way to give everyone an extra meal to satisfy their cravings. Combined with the corn porridge that the old lady had already cooked, it was a pretty good meal.

However, it's tough on the nearby residents. The temperature is just right now, and it's the season for opening doors and windows. If someone cooks something delicious, it's impossible to keep it hidden. As soon as it comes out of the pot, the aroma fills the whole yard. Not only can dogs smell it, but you can almost smell it from the gate of the residential compound.

After just this one meal, the whole residential compound probably knows about it.

Clearly, in the little one's mind, this wasn't enough, far from enough. When she went out to play at night, she even carried a rabbit with her to show off to the older and younger children in the compound. She even went to the door of Liu Zhenyan's house, the one where she had stolen someone else's little black dog.

"Kang Kang, I still have Little Grey!"

His smug look with his chin held high was so tempting that it made people want to grab him. If Qin Jing hadn't been there, he probably would have gotten a beating.

That's not the point. The point is that it all changed after just a few words.

"Rabbit meat smells so good, and chicken meat smells so good too, slurp! Do you eat rabbit meat at home? I caught several rabbits, and I'm going to eat them as soon as they poop."

Although the scene was a bit inappropriate, holding a rabbit and saying that rabbit meat was delicious, and even hoping that the rabbit would die so that he could eat the meat, and the little rabbit in the story was trembling with fear, it didn't stop the children from really drooling with envy. Some of the less self-controlling ones had already gone back to cry and throw tantrums.

He showed off his new pet to everyone in the compound before finally taking it home, completely satisfied.

According to Qin Jing, on the way back, she had already heard the sound of children crying from many houses.

When Qin Jing described it, I could easily imagine how smug the little brat was. I thought about how the residents of the family compound were forced to smell the fragrance all night and listen to this whole ordeal. And this was the leader's son, so they couldn't hit or scold him. At most, they could only curse him in their hearts.

"puff!"

She couldn't help herself and turned around to laugh out loud.

"Tomorrow, will I get a sack put on my head if I go out tomorrow?"

The old lady laughed in anger, pointing at Qin Jing.

"You just watch your sister go around bothering and tempting people, huh? You're making all those kids cry from envy?"

Qin Jing felt wronged.

"No, little sister, she was happy. She said she wanted to go to her classmates to show them her rabbit. They even touched the rabbit, and she didn't cry!"

Indeed, the little brat finished speaking and then deliberately provoked the other person, who couldn't take it anymore and cried.

The old lady opened her mouth, but even after being a leader for half her life, she had never done anything like this.

"This is ridiculous! What's going on? This is practically bullying!"

The old lady paced around on the ground, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"Then the neighbors don't have any objections? You, you, you, sigh!"

She couldn't bear to call him a brat, and besides, she looked completely innocent, as if she had no idea what bad thing she had done.

It's not that simple. The daughter-in-law is incredibly strict with her granddaughter. Even so, the granddaughter always gets a lecture or even a beating when she goes home.

After looking around and examining each one, there was only one choice left. But when I got to Qin Qinghuai's, I just didn't like it.

"Third brother, you're a leader, and this is something your daughter caused, so it's not good for your reputation. You need to find a way to resolve this."

Qin Qinghuai, “…”

Although what he said made sense—he was a leader, and it was indeed his daughter who did it—Qin Qinghuai still had a strange feeling about it.

Before we could even figure out what was going on, the old man was right beside us, adding his own weight.

"Exactly! If you become a leader and still don't set a good example and keep your family in check, this is a one-time exception. We need to rest, let's go!"
