The man's expression changed slightly, and he stumbled back several steps, chuckled, and ran away with his tail between his legs.
As soon as he left, the handsome monk's gentle expression immediately turned into disdain: "Tch! How come you're empty-handed?"
Li Jie rolled his eyes and ran into the duty rest room in the backyard.
The lounge was spacious. The actress, wearing a short-sleeved shirt, was lifting weights nearby, steaming with heat. In the dead of winter, white vapor rose from her body, and her bulging muscles created a striking visual impact against her beautiful eyes and brows.
Bai Xie sat at his desk, leaning back against the chair, his head resting on a soft pillow on the bookshelf, his legs crossed on the desk. He lazily drank tea and looked at documents, patting his full belly with his hand.
As soon as Li Jie ran in, he brought with him a strong smell of blood. The actor immediately frowned, put down the dumbbells in his hand, wiped his sweat, and said to Li Jie, "Go take a shower in the back before you talk, it stinks!"
Li Jie lowered his head and smelled the sweat on his body, then moved closer to the actor and pouted, "Why is it that even though you're lifting weights and sweating buckets every day, your sweat still smells good?"
The actor curled his lips into a mysterious smile.
Bai Xie scoffed: "If you were like him, you would apply perfume all over your body eight times before you sweat, and your sweat would smell good too."
The actor's smile vanished, and he glared at him.
The smile shifted to Li Jie's face.
“Oh no,” Bai Xie added, “Monk, your sweat smell is impossible to hide; it must be both fragrant and stinky.”
Li Jie's smile eventually shifted to Bai Xie's face.
Li Jie and the actor exchanged a glance, then simultaneously twisted their wrists, rolled up their sleeves, and moved closer.
