Chapter 679 "You're here to kill me?" "I'll take you home."

"Quiet."

Those two simple words made Wei An even more wary.

The pressure that Chang Le was showing was something he hadn't experienced before.

Chang Le continued, "I want you to stay."

Wei An's surprise was visibly followed by joy and excitement: "I knew it! Lele, you would choose me, you would need that knife, you need to pick up the knife."

As his emotions surged violently, the white paper and red paintings scattered all over the room were blown up and then fluttered down again.

Blood-red eyes, birds with human faces, distorted lines... each one is a medium through which she and Wei'an understand each other.

Chang Le turned to push open the next door, but suddenly stopped. When she turned her head, Wei An was grinning and following behind her.

He laughed heartily, but with his naturally fierce eyebrows and eyes, he didn't look like a good person at all.

Chang Le suddenly reached out, grabbed the blade, and pulled out the dagger, his expression a mixture of unease, vigilance, and a hint of excitement.

Chang Le returned the knife to him, saying, "This knife is a bit rough. I'll get you a better one later."

Wei An was overjoyed, and Chang Le opened the door and left.

Next came a room completely different from Wei'an's. The room still had many mirrors, but now it had many familiar decorations. On the familiar bed sat a rabbit with droopy ears, which had been secretly glancing at her ever since she entered.

"Rabbit."

Hearing the familiar, long-lost address, the big rabbit on the bed jumped excitedly to the floor, transforming into a cute little boy. He pounced on her, then stopped abruptly, gently grabbing Chang Le's skirt with a reserved air, and looking up at her.

"Lele, host, please don't send me away, okay?"

"Of course not," Chang Le said, lowering his eyes. "Your mission isn't finished yet, how can you leave?"

422's mission is to make Chang Le receive the love of the Hua family and many others, turning her into a little princess. This is a mission that can never be completed, so 422 can never "retire successfully," and therefore must stay with her forever.

The little boy's eyes reddened, and he instantly transformed into a big rabbit, jumping high into the air. Chang Le reached out and caught him in his arms.

The rabbit doll in Chang Le's arms looked more lifelike than ever before, but Chang Le simply held it gently without stroking it like a doll.

"Stay put." Chang Le bent down and placed him on the bedside table before turning to leave.

The door opened again, revealing not a room, but a vibrant and beautiful garden. In the center of the lawn, the young lady was still engrossed in painting.

Chang Le didn't disturb them and stood quietly to the side.

After an unknown amount of time, the young lady put down her paintbrush, examined the painting for a moment, and said, "Not bad, this must be my most satisfying work."

It was a watercolor painting.

In the center of the familiar garden in the painting, sits the young lady painting, surrounded by members of the Hua family. Silence reigns, yet laughter and chatter can be heard.

The young lady exhaled, stretched lazily (unusually), and then turned her head with a smile: "Alright, Chang Le, I should go now."

Chang Le looked at her quietly: "Do you want to leave, or are you disgusted with this place?"

The young lady sat down, her legs crossed with elegance. She rested her chin on her hand and said, "It's not a matter of whether I want to or not, whether I like it or not. I just feel that the time has come."

"Chang Le, I am not Ye Buqi, nor Wei An. I am just a mask, an obsession, and a dream for you at a certain stage. You no longer need this mask, the obsession needs to be eliminated, and the dream will eventually come to an end. My existence has no meaning, and I am not attached to my own existence."

"Chang Le, you've come to kill me."

Chang Le lowered her eyes slightly: "It won't hurt."

"That would be wonderful!" the young lady laughed. "I'm not like you; I'm very afraid of pain."

Chang Le gave a slight smile: "It's like having a beautiful dream from which you never wake up; it won't hurt."

The young lady sighed deeply, then lay down in the center of the flower-filled lawn, pulling at her skirt. The lawn beneath her was bathed in sunlight, and the sky was a vast expanse of blue.

She closed her eyes.

Chang Le waited quietly for a moment, then turned and left.

The moment I left, the painting faded rapidly and eventually disappeared.

The fifth door opened, revealing a familiar, dimly lit bedroom with a faint smell of blood in the air.

Chang Le tiptoed over and found the person curled up between the bed and the wall.

She clutched a rabbit doll, her hair disheveled and hanging down her back. Her eyes, empty with sadness, gazed out the French windows as fireworks transformed into dragon shapes and then slowly fell and dissipated.

The blood-stained knife lay to one side, and fresh blood stained the dark red patches on the white dress.

Chang Le sat down on the ground at her feet, facing the window, the flickering light of the fireworks making her eyes sparkle.

"My darling." Chang Le's voice was very gentle.

The person on the ground twitched.

"You can go home now."

Chang Le slowly propped herself up on the ground, leaned against the window and looked at her. Several fragmented bloodstains were left on the window.

Chang Le tilted his head and looked at her gently: "I'll take you home."

The person on the ground slowly stood up.

In an instant, the scene changed abruptly, with a howling wind and a rush of cold air, transforming into those familiar tall buildings.

She laughed, her voice hoarse and broken. She ran against the wind, like a butterfly flapping its fragile wings and spreading its arms to face the distant fireworks.

"After the bang, everything settled down."

"Lele, you're home."

In the gap between the bed and the wall, Chang Le held the madwoman in his arms, stroked her hair, and spoke softly.

The madman lay on her lap, closed his eyes, and slept soundly and sweetly.

Chang Le lowered his head slightly and placed a kiss on her forehead: "Sweet dreams."
