Someone called them from behind, but Qing and Shenxun exchanged a glance and continued walking forward as if they hadn't heard.
The man persisted, and seeing that the two men didn't turn around, he jogged a few steps to catch up. "Hey you two, are you deaf? Didn't you hear me calling you?"
Qing looked at him calmly, sizing him up and down.
She wore a blue embroidered robe and a jade crown. Although her appearance was plain and ordinary, she possessed an elegant and refined temperament.
Qinghe noticed that the clothes looked a bit like those of a civil official in an ancient costume drama. Just now, he had referred to himself as "this official," so it seemed that he was a minor official of the gods. However, he didn't know what kind of official he was.
"How can you two be so unruly? The palace banquet is about to begin, and instead of serving, you're just playing around and being lazy!"
It seems they're being treated like celestial children or palace maids.
Qinghe glanced at her own clothes, which didn't look like those of a servant at all. Was this person blind?
The blind little celestial official, with his nostrils flared, looked down at the two of them and, adopting the demeanor of the Jade Emperor, lectured them, "The palace banquet is about to begin, and you're still standing here like idiots. If you neglect the esteemed deities, I won't forgive you!"
He flicked his sleeve, his eyes practically squinting upwards: "Let's go, I'll take you to the Palace Mountain Garden."
Seeing the two standing still, the little immortal official said impatiently, "Hurry up! If you can't keep up, I'll grab you by the ears and drag you there, making you lose face!"
After saying that, he flicked his sleeves and rode away on a cloud.
Qing and Shen Xun looked at each other in bewilderment, and could only follow the little immortal official to the Palace Mountain Elegant Garden.
After burning two incense sticks, we finally arrived at our destination.
The journey that normally takes only the time it takes to burn an incense stick has been delayed by twice as long.
Qinghe got lost three times along the way. Twice, his vision was blocked by clouds and he bumped into a celestial barrier. Once, he mistook someone for someone else and followed them to a celestial palace. When he opened it, he found a hot spring bath for men, with white bodies all around him. It was so exciting that Shen Xun immediately dragged Qinghe away for three thousand miles.
After finally finding the Gongshan Garden, Qinghe stood outside the door with a livid face, her brows furrowed, and the large bump on her forehead from when she bumped into the mountain still hadn't subsided.
Her expression was blank, devoid of joy or sorrow, until Shen Xun touched her twice, at which point she blinked and looked at him.
"Did the impact make you stupid?"
Qinghe earnestly told him, "From now on, my residence must be simple and clear, with signs at every intersection, and even the smallest brick must be unique."
Shen Xun said earnestly, "It's good that you have this idea, but shouldn't you try to change your terrible sense of direction?"
Qinghe turned his head as if he hadn't heard, and looked leisurely at the little immortal official in the celestial palace who was serving tea and water and flattering everyone.
The gods from all directions who attended the palace banquet were all dressed in gorgeous clothes and had rosy complexions. The delicacies, immortal teas and wines on the table were all exquisite and their aromas wafted for miles, reaching Qinghe's nose, who was a heavy drinker, and he immediately felt a little giddy.
Her craving for alcohol was instantly awakened, and she involuntarily stepped into the main hall, heading straight for the aroma of wine.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. The moment the little celestial official saw the two of them, his previous obsequiousness vanished. Instead, he walked over to Qinghe and bossed him around, saying, "Why are you so late! Quickly pour wine and set the table for all the gods. Hurry up!"
Qinghe, captivated by the aroma of the wine, paid no attention to the little immortal official's orders, only mumbled an "uh-huh" before heading towards the table.
Perhaps it's because of the divine realm, but the wine here is always much more fragrant and sweet than the wine in the human realm. Qinghe was about to pick up a wine cup to secretly have a drink when a loud shout jolted her awake.
"Lord Su Feng has arrived!"
Upon hearing this, the group immediately stopped talking and bowed towards the door, saying, "Welcome, Divine Lord Su Feng!"
The junior celestial official was even more obedient, not daring to raise his head, for fear of breaking the rules and incurring the wrath of the divine lord.
Qinghe stood in the corner, with someone blocking her view, so no one noticed her. She turned around and looked at the deity, her eyes widening suddenly.
Shen Xun was also extremely surprised. He stared intently at Su Feng Shenjun and said to Qing He, "I think you don't know about the current situation either, do you?"
Hearing no response, Shen Xun looked at her and saw that she was staring straight ahead with a deep and complex look in her eyes, as if she was thinking, or as if she was simply looking at someone.
Facing the worship of the crowd, Lord Su Feng remained indifferent, walked to the center seat at the front and sat down, lightly tapping the table with his fingertips, without uttering a single word from beginning to end.
The others were used to it and got up to return to their seats, calling the children next to them to pour wine.
The deity closest to Lord Sufeng raised his wine cup and said with a kind smile, "Everyone, Lord Sufeng's return to the divine realm is a blessing for our divine realm. We should toast him with this cup. May the dragon return to the nine heavens and rejoin the divine realm!"
Upon hearing this, everyone raised their glasses and drank them down in one gulp.
The junior immortal official was not qualified to be seated, so he stood in the corner with Qing and Shen Xun, waiting.
He stood upright, his clothes were neat and tidy, and he stared intently ahead.
Qinghe rolled his eyes and asked him, "What is the background of that Lord Sufeng? I see you all respect him very much."
The little celestial official glanced at her and said, "You're new here, aren't you? Let me tell you, this Lord Su Feng has quite a background. You little palace maids had better not ask about him, lest you bring disaster upon yourselves."
Qinghe lowered her eyes and stopped asking him.
The palace banquet has begun. The gods are drinking and chatting happily, while the celestial maidens, playing music and dancing, display their graceful movements and exquisite divine dances.
The room was filled with fresh fruit and fine wine, but Qinghe had no interest in them at all. She stared intently at the high seated Lord Sufeng, her burning and focused gaze impossible to ignore. Even the little celestial official couldn't help but glance at her a few more times.
With the same eyebrows and eyes, the same facial features, the difference was that the person in front of him, who looked exactly like Qi Rong, was not wearing red clothes, and his expression was indifferent. Gone was his previous wicked charm; he was now a stern and icy figure.
Shen Xun whispered to her, "Should we try to test the waters?"
Qinghe glanced at all the gods present and said, "Now is not the time."
She looked at Shen Xun: "Do you know where the Divine Tree is?"
Shen Xun hesitated for a moment and said, "I know, but I came to the God Realm hundreds of years ago. I don't know if the location of the Divine Tree has changed since then."
Qinghe: "Take me there."
Shen Xun: "Now?"
Qinghe nodded.
"Alright," Shen Xun said, "Come with me."
She quietly took a few steps back, moving away from everyone's sight towards the palace entrance.
Just as they reached the door and were about to step out of the main hall, they heard a deep, magnetic voice behind them: "Please wait, where are you going?"
Qinghe suddenly stopped in his tracks.
The long-lost familiar voice stirred up a thousand waves in my heart.
Qinghe slowly turned around and looked up at Lord Sufeng.
Two gazes met, as still as an ancient well, until a drop of rain broke the silence, flowing into their hearts and disappearing without a trace.
