Chapter Ninety-One: Ascending the Heavenly Ladder

After traveling for about a month and a half, they finally caught a glimpse of Mount Futu and saw the first light of dawn.

As they crossed the Black Sea, the spiritual pressure gradually decreased, and Qinghe clearly felt the nausea and dizziness slowly disappearing. She glanced at the rising sun in the distance and took a breath of the fresh morning air.

Just as she was about to stand up, she suddenly felt a strong sense of dizziness, and the world spun around her. She held onto the corner of the table tightly to keep herself from falling to the ground.

Shen Xun held her arm, asking worriedly, "Are you alright?"

After a while, Qinghe regained her senses. She opened her eyes and looked at Shen Xun, then paused for a moment before realizing what he had just said.

"It's nothing, it's probably just a side effect of seasickness."

She shook her head to indicate that she was fine. Shen Xun looked at her worriedly for a few moments before walking to the side and telling her to rest well.

Qinghe felt refreshed, clear-headed, and comfortable all over, as if the dizziness he had just experienced was just an illusion.

He circulated his spiritual energy through his hands, controlling it to complete a small cycle within his body, and found nothing amiss.

She calmed herself down, put her distracting thoughts aside, and sighed at her own overthinking.

Perhaps it really is just seasickness, as she said.

The empty ship sailed steadily toward its destination, its hull pushing through the waves, roaring and churning as it welcomed and bid farewell to this enormous vessel.

To those on board, the speed appeared smooth and even, but in reality, the empty boat was traveling at a speed of 15,000 li per day, a truly astonishing speed.

Even so, it has been a month and a half since we arrived at Mount Futu, which shows how vast and deep the Black Sea is and how Mount Futu, as a sacred mountain of the Three Realms, is secluded and inaccessible.

After traveling for more than half a month, they finally arrived at the foot of Mount Futu by empty boat.

Abundant spiritual energy surrounded the immortal mountain. Before disembarking, Qinghe broke through his cultivation level and successfully advanced to the late stage of the Nascent Soul realm. He even seemed poised for a series of advancements, but fortunately, Qinghe stopped him in time.

The worst thing for a cultivator is to not have a solid foundation, so repeated advancements did her no good.

When I opened my eyes again, the boat had stopped and was moored against a reef at the foot of the mountain.

Qinghe jumped off the ship, summoned back the Nine-Headed Fiery Phoenix, and was about to put the Sky Piercing Ship back into the jade bottle when he suddenly remembered that there was still one person.

She looked around but didn't see Shen Xun.

After calling out twice without response, Qinghe went back to the boat to look for him, only to find that Shen Xun had vanished into thin air as if he had never existed.

"Where did that little brat go...?"

Helpless, he jumped off the boat and casually retrieved it. Qinghe stepped onto the rocks at the foot of Mount Futu and stood on the high ground, searching for Shenxun's figure.

As he was peering out, a hand quietly touched Qinghe's shoulder.

"girl."

Qing was startled and jumped several meters away, looking warily at the stranger in front of her.

The man before them was dressed in fine clothes, with a dignified appearance, holding a white fan, looking every bit the elegant young gentleman.

Qinghe is quite friendly to handsome guys, but when it comes to handsome guys who are intimidating from behind, no matter how handsome they are, it's useless.

She coldly replied, "Young master, don't you think it's impolite to remain silent behind someone's back?"

The young man in white suddenly broke into a smile, opening his fan and gently waving it. "Haha, you were fooled!"

Qinghe was still in a daze when she saw the red string on the man's wrist and suddenly understood. She looked at Shen Xun in disbelief and said, "You are... Shen Xun?!"

The young man in white waved his fan and said, "That's right."

Qinghe glanced at him from head to toe, his face showing disdain.

Shen Xun frowned. "What's with that expression?"

Qinghe snorted coldly: "I say you're being too flamboyant. Even if the original body was good-looking, you can't transform into someone good-looking. We're going to rescue people, not participate in a beauty pageant. Are you afraid that people won't recognize you because you've transformed into this?"

Shen Xun scratched his nose. "I didn't think that much about it... So, should I transform into a normal one again?"

Qinghe glared at him: "Of course, let's choose another one."

Shen Xun hesitated for a long time, reluctantly changing his form several times before finally nodding.

Afterwards, she changed her appearance and entered the sacred mountain with Shen Xun.

The mountain peaks rise in layers, with long and narrow stone steps built along the mountainside, leading directly to the summit.

As you climb the Heavenly Ladder, a cool breeze blows through the misty peaks.

Shen Xun was a gentleman; he stepped in front of Qing He to shield her from the wind, and Qing He's eyes filled with tears of gratitude.

The scene before her eyes was blurred by tears, making it difficult to see clearly. Just as Qinghe wiped away her tears and was about to express her gratitude to Shen Xun, she saw that Shen Xun had already taken three steps at a time and was running uphill at a fast pace, shouting as he ran, "The wind is getting stronger and stronger. We have to hurry to the Immortal Palace at the top of the mountain, or we'll be blown into ice sculptures by the cold wind!"

He looked back and said, "Hurry up, I'm not going to help you anymore!"

Qinghe: "..." This ungrateful wretch!

Helpless, Qinghe braved the cold wind and climbed the steps, his whole body covered in goosebumps, and he couldn't stop shivering.

She clenched her fist, circulating spiritual energy within her palm, which flowed throughout her body. Before long, she felt a warm current coursing through her entire body.

However, Mount Futu is covered in snow and is cold all year round. How could such a small amount of spiritual power be enough to keep warm in a place where gods gather? Before even the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, it was back to square one.

Shen Xun had already walked quite far, and the distance between the two had widened considerably. They could only be vaguely seen as a small dot moving slowly before being swallowed up by the cold mountain.

After climbing for a long time, they finally reached the top of the mountain. Qinghe, panting heavily and supporting his back, walked to Shenxun's side and said breathlessly, "I said, couldn't you have walked a little slower? I'm exhausted..."

But Shen Xun did not respond, staring straight ahead. Qing He followed his gaze and saw the magnificent and splendid celestial palace before her.

Layers of celestial mist enveloped the magnificent palaces and pavilions on the celestial mountains.

The white jade steps, the carved beams and painted rafters—the exquisite architecture was something Qinghe had never seen in the human world.

Moreover, each immortal pavilion occupies its own piece of floating cloud, with the immortal clouds surging and concealing mysteries, changing positions in the blink of an eye.

A white crane flew overhead, its cry echoing through the heavens.

Qinghe looked up and saw a person on the back of a crane flying deep into the celestial palace. From a distance, the person appeared to be a middle-aged god.

Shen Xun led Qing He down the mountain and rushed towards the celestial palace. In the blink of an eye, they were standing in front of a celestial palace.

One after another, divine beasts carried the gods deeper into the land. Qinghe asked, "What are they going to do?"

Shen Xun pondered for a moment, "Judging from this situation, perhaps the God Realm is holding some kind of banquet, and all the gods are preparing to attend."

Qinghe nodded: "I see. That's perfect, let's go find the Divine Tree."

Shen Xun glanced at her but did not object.

The two of them quietly made their way towards the sacred tree, glancing around with each step to avoid being discovered.

After all, this is the realm of gods, so it's best to be cautious.

"Hey you two! Yes, it's you two. Don't look back, there's no one else here!"
