Chapter 139 Lord Rat Immortal, please accept this disciple's bow! (1/2)

Yu Hao was so excited that his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

He felt like he might have a fever, because he had such a terrible dream!

Unfortunately, he was so frightened that he stopped breathing, his eyes wide open and his face turning red.

Big Orange was peeking out of the bedroom. Its fluffy, striped fur looked soft and cozy, and the clear "king" character on its forehead made Yu Hao feel like he was suffocating.

Isn't that a tiger?! Why is there a tiger?! He really does have a fever!

Big Orange slowly walked over to Ruan Tang and rubbed against her leg. Little White, who was sitting on Big Orange's head, jumped and bounced into Ruan Tang's arms.

Seeing the scene before him, Yu Hao could no longer bear it and screamed, "Ah—!"

A scream that could lift the roof was about to burst from her throat when it was tightly choked back by a large, iron-like hand.

Yan Yu's face was so black it could drip ink.

A chilling aura, even more biting than the wind and snow outside, instantly enveloped Yu Hao.

"Waaaaah..."

Yu Hao was completely covered up, and could only let out a pitiful whimper like a little chick. His legs trembled like leaves, and tears and snot uncontrollably smeared all over Yan Yu's warm, dry palms.

Yan Yu's brow twitched violently, and his disgusted gaze almost made him want to tear Yu Hao to pieces on the spot.

At the bedroom door, Daju was a little bewildered by the human's intense reaction.

It tilted its fluffy head and let out a curious "Awoo?" sound, which was soft and childlike, a stark contrast to its imposing size.

Xiao Bai finally finished being affectionate with Ruan Tang, glanced at Yu Hao sitting on the ground, and arrogantly jumped from Ruan Tang's arms to the center of the table next to her.

It first glanced at Yu Hao with extreme disdain before standing up and slowly and meticulously washing its face with its two pink front paws.

Those dark purple eyes peered sideways at Yu Hao in the corner through the gaps between his claws, filled with undisguised contempt.

His expression was as if to say: Where did this country bumpkin come from? He's never seen the world.

"Okay, brother, you're suffocating him."

A soft, sweet voice rang out, like a handful of just the right amount of warm water, instantly extinguishing the tense atmosphere in the room.

Ruan Tang walked over with a cup of hot water, stretched out her fair and delicate hand, and gently patted Yan Yu's taut, iron-like arm.

Yan Yu then let go of his hand.

Without even glancing at Yu Hao, he immediately pulled a clean handkerchief from his pocket and carefully wiped each of his fingers, as if he had touched something extremely poisonous.

Once free, Yu Hao scrambled to the farthest corner of the wall, wishing he could squeeze himself into a crack in the wall.

He collapsed to the ground, his hand still trembling as he pointed at the orange tree.

"Old...old...old...tiger...you...you have a tiger in your house!"

His tongue was tied in knots, and his face was as white as if it had just been plastered with lime. The little bit of color that the ginger tea had managed to bring back had vanished completely.

"Yes, its name is Big Orange."

Ruan Tang's tone was as casual as if she were introducing a pet cat.

"We rescued them on the mountain."

As she spoke, she reached out her little hand and scratched the big orange's fluffy chin.

The orange cat squinted its eyes comfortably, making a satisfied "gurgling" sound in its throat, and even rubbed its big head against Ruan Tang's leg affectionately, being incredibly well-behaved.

Yu Hao's jaw almost dropped to the ground.

Is this... is this how the king of beasts should look?!

His gaze, once again, drifted uncontrollably to the white squirrel on the table.

With a graceful movement, Xiaobai used one of its front paws to push the pile of sunflower seeds in front of it aside, making room for itself.

Then, it raised its other paw, first pointing at the majestic orange cat, then at Yu Hao, who was terrified in the corner, and squeaked twice at the orange cat.
