Shi Wan stared intently at the bloodstains flowing down her leg, her lips turning pale instantly.
"Miss? Miss!"

Feng Yunzhou pursed his thin lips, his icy gaze meeting Shi Wan's pleading eyes, devoid of any emotion. "Enough, her affairs are none of your business!"
After saying that, he picked up the woman and strode away.
As Feng Yunzhou carried Jiang Le away, the entire villa fell silent instantly.
Shi Wan looked down at the specks of blood on her hands, hurriedly picked up the broken pieces of her phone from the ground, and rushed out of the villa without caring about the blood on her face and hands.
After returning to China, Feng Yunzhou arranged for her to live in Dingchen Villa. There were no servants, only a cleaning lady who came to clean the house regularly every day.
Dingchen Villa District is the largest luxury residential area in Haicheng, consisting of several villa areas. The villas are not close to each other, and there is not much movement of people.
Shi Wan walked out of the villa onto a wide road where there were no pedestrians and very few vehicles. She could only head towards the villa area exit, hoping to flag down a car or borrow a phone from someone.
During their argument, Jiang Le fell down the stairs, causing severe bleeding. The child was innocent, and she felt extremely guilty.
The guilt she felt made her seem to forget the faint pain in her abdomen and the soreness in her hands and feet.
The dim light illuminated the girl's slender back, and the ever-growing shadow seemed to engulf her.
Suddenly seeing the villa with lights on ahead, she felt a glimmer of hope. The cold wind blew against her frail body, and a piercing pain in her abdomen made it impossible for her to straighten up.

A tall, slender man appeared at the doorway, wearing a clean, high-waisted cashmere sweater and black trousers. He had deep-set features, a calm and indifferent expression, and a few drops of water still clung to his black bangs.
Lu Jingyan stared intently at him, his eyes filled with a dark and unfathomable expression. He looked at the disheveled girl before him and pursed his lips. "Miss, do you need help?"
The man saw that Shi Wan's delicate, pale face was covered with strands of hair stained with blood, her lips were completely bloodless, and her alabaster skin appeared even paler under the light.
Seeing the girl's disheveled state, he clenched his hands, his eyes slightly reddening, but he was still trying his best to control his emotions.
The increasingly intense pain in her lower abdomen made Shi Wan frown, and the persistent, piercing pain caused her to let out a low groan. Lost in her own pain, she didn't notice the subtle expression on the other person's face, as if they were grasping at a straw.
Before Shi Wan could answer, she nearly fell to the ground due to the excruciating pain. Lu Jingyan couldn't control himself and took a big step forward to quickly reach out and support the girl in front of him.

Lu Jingyan lowered his eyes, his expression showing tension, and quickly handed the phone to Shi Wan.
Shi Wan dialed Feng Yunzhou several times, but he didn't answer. Frustrated, she called Feng Yunzhou's assistant, who answered after only a few rings.
"Assistant Chen, how is Jiang Le doing? I'm coming to the hospital now..."
Chen Xing replied in a low voice, as if he were avoiding something, "Miss Shi, the doctor said it was a premature birth, and she's still inside receiving emergency treatment. You'd better... not come over yet, Mr. Feng isn't available right now..."
Hearing the hesitant tone on the other end of the phone, Shi Wan hung up.

Just as Shi Wan was about to explain, the cramping in her abdomen suddenly intensified, and she felt a warm liquid flowing down between her legs.

She could no longer hold on and slowly collapsed.
Lu Jingyan followed Shi Wan's gaze downwards and saw two streams of blood dripping down the girl's legs to her feet.

Lu Jingyan's chest tightened, and his throat clenched. Looking at Shi Wan's pale face, he was instantly panicked. He suppressed his trembling hands and rushed forward to hug the unconscious girl tightly.
He grabbed the coat hanging by the sofa, draped it over Shi Wan, bent down, picked her up, and carried her straight to the car.
Shi Wan groaned intermittently due to the pain in her lower abdomen.
Large beads of sweat dripped from Lu Jingyan's forehead onto his arm.
"Please... take me to the Capital Hospital." Before she could finish speaking, Shi Wan fainted in Lu Jingyan's arms.
