I don't know how long I slept, but suddenly, in my dream, I saw Jiang Le's painful, pale face and Feng Yunzhou's cold eyes.
Shi Wan unconsciously gripped the edge of the bed tightly, large beads of sweat appearing on her slender neck. She tried to pull her up, but couldn't.

Shi Wan stared blankly at the ceiling, her eyes slightly red from crying, and she didn't hear Lu Jingyan's reply.
She had already made the decision to leave Feng Yunzhou. After resigning from her job at the Imperial Capital Kindergarten, she planned to go to Kyoto. Shi Wan was taken aback, not expecting Lu Jingyan to tease her.
Her long, flowing hair framed her small, oval face, and her skin was as white as paper. When she was amused by the man in front of her, whose appearance was so different from her usual self, the corners of her eyes would turn down slightly, and her bright eyebrows would soften.
“Miss Shi, shall I take you back to Dingchen later?” Lu Jingyan’s eyes held a subtle expression that Shi Wan could not notice.
Shi Wan gently rubbed her stomach and gave a bitter smile. "I'm not going back. My friend is coming to pick me up later."
Lu Jingyan's brows relaxed, and he felt inexplicably better. He said calmly, "That's good... If you really can't accept it, don't force yourself. There will be a better future."
Shi Wan's lips curled into a bitter smile. Even outsiders could see the truth in it, so why should she continue to pursue it so desperately?
"Maybe...it's better for everyone." The last sentence was spoken so softly it seemed as if she were talking to herself.
