Episode 67: An Unexpected Invitation to Collaborate

New Path in Film and Television

Chapter 1: An Unexpected Opportunity

Sunlight streamed through the window onto Ah Yu's desk, where he was engrossed in organizing an advertising and marketing plan. His phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence. Ah Yu answered and heard a polite yet somewhat urgent voice on the other end. It was a call from a well-known film and television production company. The caller explained their needs in detail, hoping Ah Yu could handle the product placement and promotion for their upcoming large-scale urban drama series.

Ah Yu's heart skipped a beat. This was indeed a field he had never ventured into before, but he had always enjoyed challenges, and this was undoubtedly an excellent opportunity to expand his business empire. After a moment's thought, he readily agreed, his eyes gleaming with eager anticipation.

At the same time, on the other side of the city, Zhong Hua was sitting in her art studio, meticulously studying the brushstrokes and color combinations of an unfinished painting. The phone rang abruptly; it was a film special effects company. The caller made no secret of their appreciation for her unique artistic style and sincerely invited her to participate in the special effects scene design for a fantasy film, hoping she could create fantastical and dazzling visual effects. Zhong Hua, who was always particularly interested in creative projects, immediately decided to accept the invitation, a smile of excitement unconsciously spreading across her face.

Meanwhile, Su Yao was attending a business meeting in the company's conference room. After the meeting, she had just returned to her office when her assistant informed her of a call from a film investment company. Upon calling back, they enthusiastically invited her to serve as a consultant, assisting in assessing the commercial value of film projects and developing marketing strategies. Su Yao knew her extensive experience in the business world would be invaluable in helping the investment company reduce risk and increase returns, so after a brief consideration, she agreed.

And so, each of the three, filled with anticipation and trepidation, unexpectedly stepped into the film and television industry, thus beginning a brand new collaborative journey.

Chapter Two: First Steps in Film and Television

Ah Yu began to learn about product placement and promotion in film and television. He read through a large amount of film and television industry materials, studied past successful cases, and consulted many industry professionals. However, when he actually started to conceive the product placement plan for that urban-themed TV series, he found that there were many difficulties.

To ensure the continuity of the plot, product placement must not appear abrupt. It also needs to be integrated with the characters' traits to make the advertisements appear natural and reasonable, while also taking into account the audience's acceptance. Ah Yu's initial proposals were all rejected by the director and screenwriter, which frustrated him somewhat. However, his inherent competitive spirit led him to readjust his thinking time and time again, delving deeper into the logic of film and television creation, and trying to find the most suitable product placement method.

Zhong Hua's situation wasn't easy either. Stepping into the world of film and television special effects, she realized that transforming her artistic ideas into realistic visual effects using computer technology was far more complex than she had imagined. Initially, when communicating with the special effects team, there were often discrepancies in their understanding of certain effects presentations, leading to frequent communication barriers. She had no choice but to bite the bullet and learn about special effects, actively exchanging ideas with team members, gradually working together to achieve a perfect fusion of art and technology.

Su Yao was busy sorting through data on various film and television projects, analyzing the impact of different themes, casts, and other factors on commercial value. She constantly consulted industry reports and sought advice from investment experts, trying to develop precise and effective marketing strategies. However, the market is unpredictable, and every decision required utmost caution. She often fell into deep thought, repeatedly weighing the pros and cons.

Despite encountering numerous challenges, the three encouraged each other, exchanging their experiences through phone calls and gatherings, and exploring their way forward together in this unfamiliar film and television industry.

Chapter Three: Getting Better and Better

After a period of hard work, Ah Yu finally got the hang of it. He meticulously designed an advertising placement plan, cleverly integrating products into the everyday life scenes of the TV series. For example, the main characters would naturally pick up a certain brand of beverage while shopping, or use specific electronic products in the office. This wouldn't disrupt the flow of the plot, yet the audience would notice the advertisements without even realizing it. For promotion, he devised an online and offline strategy, utilizing trending topics on social media, offline fan meet-and-greets, and other methods to generate buzz for the TV series in advance.

After seeing his new proposal, the director and screenwriter nodded in approval. Ah Yu felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders and gained more confidence for the work ahead.

Zhong Hua's collaboration with the special effects team improved significantly. She communicated her fantastical and dazzling scenes through detailed design drafts with the team, who, based on her ideas, used advanced computer technology to gradually create stunning special effects scenes. Those dreamlike magical worlds and bizarre creature designs slowly materialized on the computer screen. Looking at these results, Zhong Hua's eyes were filled with pride, and her anticipation for the fantasy film grew ever stronger.

With her professional expertise and keen market insight, Su Yao identified several highly promising film and television projects for the investment company and developed detailed marketing strategies. Following her advice, the investment company successfully attracted considerable attention from investors, and the projects showed promising commercial prospects. As a result, Su Yao gradually gained a reputation in the film and television investment field, and more and more people began to recognize her abilities.

All three were getting into their stride at work, playing important roles in their respective film and television projects, and were full of hope for the future.
