Chapter Twelve: The Great Ship

Chen Jing continued searching downwards. He thought for a moment that if he needed to imprison someone, it would be best to do so at the bottom of the ship's hold.

He walked down several downward staircases, and as he went down, he smelled a foul odor.

Suddenly, he heard a noise coming from upstairs. Chen Jing immediately turned a corner and hid in a room with an open door.

The room looked like a sailor's quarters, with hammocks and some clothes. Chen Jing quickly found a garment that fit his size and draped it over himself.

Chen Jing heard footsteps approaching.

He leaned against the door, glancing sideways towards the outside.

It was an escort team! But there were only three people: a woman dressed provocatively with strange tattoos and a young man in a trench coat, dark blue cloth, and carrying a rapier.

The captured, exquisitely beautiful woman opened her mouth and uttered only one sentence: "Kill me."

"Sister Zhang, stop playing around." The young man said helplessly, "After we escort her to the prison, we can get a little rest. Damn it, I really don't know why anyone would dare to assassinate the boss. Isn't that just asking for death and wasting our time?"

When Sister Zhang heard this, she scoffed, "Xiao Fan, you can't wait any longer, can you? Don't worry, you'll get your turn to enjoy yourself."

They talked as if no one else was around, and no one noticed Chen Jing standing to the side.

Chen Jing lowered his pace and quietly followed behind them.

He didn't use stealth! He relied purely on the skills of the monster lure.

Along the way, they passed a checkpoint guarded by two seemingly elite sailors. Chen Jing had to expend some spiritual energy to activate invisibility and sneak through.

Finally, they stopped in front of a cabin door.
