Li Hongmei agreed: "Yes, yes."
Unable to resist the two people, Wen Yixing was taken to see a doctor.
The doctor briefly examined her, prescribed some medicated plasters, and told her to apply them for a few days.
Seeing that nothing was wrong, Li Hongmei was relieved.
Once she relaxed, Li Hongmei started trying to chat with Shen Jingshao on the way.
Shen Jingshao didn't say anything, only that he and Wen Yixing were friends, and that he happened to run into Wen Yixing while he was on a business trip here.
Li Hongmei just smiled, it was unclear whether she believed it or not.
Once home, Wen Yixing went straight to her room to rest.
Her mind was in a mess right now, and she desperately needed to calm down.
As a result, I fell asleep while thinking about it.
When I woke up again, it was already afternoon, and it was dark outside.
Wen Jianguo and Fang Jingyao had already returned home and were in the yard working on the water in the fish tank.
Wen Yixing went downstairs and looked around, but couldn't find Shen Jingshao.
Li Hongmei knew what Wen Yixing was looking for. She smiled and said, "Xiao Shen left around 5 o'clock. We originally wanted him to stay for dinner, but he said he had something to do and left first."
Just as Li Hongmei said this, Fang Jingyao came in from outside. For some reason, his body and face were dirty and covered with mud.
He paused for a few seconds, then opened his mouth and said, "Huh? Uncle Chen is here?"
Li Hongmei smiled: "Does Yaoyao know him?"
Fang Jingyao didn't say much, he just nodded: "Mm!"
Li Hongmei walked to the doorway, where several boxes were placed conspicuously.
"These were all delivered by Xiao Shen. He's very nice and seems polite."
The gifts Shen Jingshao gave weren't particularly expensive, but they were practical and were gifts that the elders all liked.
Wen Yixing stared at these things, slightly stunned.
When Wen Jianguo came in, he looked at everyone in the room and said with a smile, "Go wash your hands quickly! Dinner will be served soon!"
Li Hongmei smiled and looked at Wen Yixing, asking, "Yixing, do you want to call Xiao Shen? If you haven't eaten yet, come to our house for a meal."
Before Wen Yixing could speak, Wen Jianguo, looking completely bewildered, blurted out, "What Xiao Shen?"

Wen Yixing originally thought that Shen Jingshao had already left.
But to her surprise, less than ten minutes after she made the call, Shen Jingshao appeared at her doorstep.
Fang Jingyao ran out to open the door for Shen Jingshao, and Wen Jianguo, a little curious, followed him out to see what was happening.
Li Hongmei felt that Shen Jingshao was, after all, a guest, so she went out to greet him.
Only Wen Yixing, who had difficulty moving around, remained in the living room.
When Shen Jingshao came in, Li Hongmei asked him to sit opposite Wen Yixing.
Neither of them spoke much.
Fang Jingyao looked at this curiously for a while, then looked at that.
Until Wen Yixing tapped him on the head and said, "Eat properly."
Fang Jingyao was warned and dared not cause any more trouble, so he buried his head in his food.
After the meal, Wen Yixing discovered that Shen Jingshao had some social talent. He could make her parents very happy with just a few words, and he even managed to get a lot of embarrassing stories about her childhood out of her father.
After finishing their meal, Wen Jianguo looked at the sky outside and asked, "This place isn't very convenient, where does Xiao Shen live?"
Shen Jingshao: "Any hotel will do."
"The hotels here aren't clean, and there are thieves too." Wen Jianguo looked up and saw that there were a few empty guest rooms in his house.
So he said, "If you don't mind, you can stay at our house for the night. We have many rooms and clean bedding."
Shen Jingshao's gaze fell on Wen Yixing, who was sitting quietly on the sofa. After a few seconds, he looked up at Wen's father and asked, "Won't this be too much trouble for Uncle and Aunt?"
Wen Jianguo smiled and said, "No trouble at all, no trouble at all."
The accommodation here is indeed not very good; there aren't many decent hotels nearby.
The roads at night are dangerous, and Wen Yixing didn't want Shen Jingshao to drive to the city late at night, nor did she want him to stay in those dirty little hotels.
She stood up, looked at Shen Jingshao, and said softly, "I have a clean set of sheets and blankets in my room."
Li Hongmei nodded: "Yes, it's clean, I just washed it."
"I'll go tidy up your room!"
After saying that, Li Hongmei prepared to go upstairs.
Shen Jingshao followed, "It's alright, Auntie, I can take care of it myself."
In the instant they brushed past each other, Wen Yixing thought she saw Shen Jingshao smile.
She stared at Shen Jingshao's retreating figure, momentarily wondering if she was seeing things.

Shen Jingshao stayed at the house for three days.
He doesn't work during the day either; he goes up the mountain to work with Wen Jianguo.
With an additional young laborer in the family, these farm chores can be done much more quickly.
The town is relatively small, so you're bound to run into familiar faces. Shen Jingshao is a new face here, so people are bound to be curious when they see him. Some will even come up to Wen Jianguo and quietly ask, "Who is this?"
Wen Jianguo looked up at Shen Jingshao, who was tidying up the bamboo baskets, and then smiled and said in a low voice, "Is this my daughter's friend?"
"Friends?" The person next to him didn't believe it. "Really not a boyfriend?"
Wen Jianguo: "It's not clear yet."
The middle-aged man next to him observed Shen Jingshao for a while and commented, "He looks much better than the previous one. Look at him, tall and strong, he looks healthy and energetic!"
Wen Jianguo didn't have much of a liking for Fang Shiyan to begin with, and upon hearing this, he agreed, "That's right, Xiao Shen looks very strong!"
