Wanyan Quxian drew back his sword, blood spurting out. Wanyan Ang stretched out his finger, but it froze in mid-air. He had no strength left. His lips moved briefly, and then he collapsed straight down. His eyes were wide open, his eyes wide open in death.
"Soldiers of the Great Jin! We have no way to retreat. If this continues, we will die without a burial place. Now our only chance of survival is to surrender to the Great Song. Everyone, lay down your weapons and follow me out to surrender."
Only a thousand or so Jin soldiers remained hiding under the cliffs, their will to fight gone. They had thrown their weapons to the ground. In reality, their weapons were little more than firewood sticks, because after fighting for so long, they hadn't even caught a glimpse of the Song army.
Wanyan Quxian cut off Wanyan Ang's head and held it in his hand by the hair. As he walked out, he shouted: "Stop fighting! Stop fighting! We surrender!"
The Jin soldiers behind raised their hands and followed.
The archer next to Sun Dabiantan on the top of the mountain said, "General, please look! The Jin thieves have surrendered."
Sun Dabiantan. As a young man, he was a porter, carrying a pole to chop firewood and carry goods. After his home was destroyed by war, he joined the army and rose through the ranks to become the commander of the Pingxiang Army.
Sun Dabiantan hated the Jin people especially. He took the archer's bow, drew an arrow from his quiver, and aimed at Wanyan Quxian at the foot of the mountain.
“Whoosh!”
The arrow flew through the air, and Wanyan Quxian stumbled. The arrow grazed his scalp and shot off his hat. Wanyan Quxian fell flat on his face in shock.
Sun Dabiantan stood on the top of the mountain and looked down: "I obey the Marshal's order! Anyone who refuses to accept the surrender of the Jin soldiers and offends the Song Dynasty will be killed without mercy!"
