Chapter 59: The Paranoid Emperor’s Bird in His Palm (End)

Tears fell from her long eyelashes, and her pretty little face turned red from crying.

She could tell who it was from the sound of footsteps without even turning around.

"You...are not allowed to come over here!"

Lou Che didn't have time to dry his hair and chased out with just his outer robe on.

The man stood not far from her, his right arm was empty and his neck had ugly marks left by the fire.

He is no longer the emperor who was as noble as a banished immortal. Now he is just a pitiful creature who dares not even show his face.

Ruan Mian looked at his ugly face filled with worry through tearful eyes.

The man was afraid that the scar on his face would scare her, so he covered it with gauze out of inferiority.

But he only had one hand left, and the busier he was, the more messy the single hand became, dropping the white cloth onto the ground and getting it covered in dust.

Lou Che didn't mind and just picked it up and wrapped it around his face.

There was still a hoarse sound coming from his mouth.

"Don't be afraid, Mianmian. It's all my fault."

His clumsy and pitiful movements made the girl feel heartbroken and her eyes red.

The man was still trying to wrap the cloth around his face. The girl sniffed, whimpered, and rushed over to him, bumping into his arms.

"Bad guy, Lou Che, you bad guy."

I punched his chest hard with my tiny fist, but it didn't hurt.

The man gently wiped her tears and did not stop the girl, allowing her to vent the grievances she had suppressed in her heart.

Until Ruan Mian's fingers were red from being scratched by the fabric and she was tired.

The girl touched his shriveled right sleeve and asked him tremblingly.

"Did it hurt?"

Lou Che smiled and shook his head, "It doesn't hurt, Mianmian, I'm fine."

He lowered his eyes and asked slowly, "Do you dislike the way I am now?"

When he spoke, his voice was as rough as stones scraping across the ground, unpleasant and harsh.

The girl pursed her lips.

"dislike!"

He had expected this outcome a long time ago, but he still felt so sad that he could hardly control himself.

But then her waist was hugged by soft arms. Ruan Mian buried her pink little face in his clothes that smelled slightly of medicine, and cried out from her lips.

"I hate you so much!"

Lou Che understood that the little guy was heartbroken and was angry with him.

The look in his eyes as he looked at her was filled with tenderness and affection.

"Mianmian, I have passed the throne to my uncle. I will accompany you wherever you want to go in the future, okay?"

They still have plenty of time to spend sweetly for the rest of their lives.

No wonder Mo Yan often goes out, his actions mysterious and he doesn't let her know.

The girl's glass-like eyes blinked, as if she was thinking of something interesting.

"You are no longer the emperor. Doesn't that mean I can bully you every day without getting beheaded?"

The man knew what she was thinking, but he just put his head on the girl's neck which exuded a faint fragrance with the utmost indulgence and doting, and took a deep breath, feeling a strong sense of satisfaction.

"Yes, I will never fight back."

The two of them embraced each other in the moonlight, as loving and affectionate as a couple of gods. A corner of their black robe appeared in the distance, and they left reluctantly.

The new emperor Mo Yan came to the throne and was busy with government affairs.

Ruan Mian and Lou Che traveled to many famous mountains, rivers and beautiful scenery.

We had a great time walking and playing along the way.

Auspicious day for marriage.

After marriage, the two became more and more affectionate, but they did not have children.

Until they were buried together a hundred years later, no one could separate them.
