Chapter 141 Seduction

Everyone was taken aback.

Mo Xuan snapped out of his daze, shook off Xiao Xin's hand, and pointed at Fu Yan's nose, yelling, "You brat, what kind of attitude is this! You treat people like dogs, summoning them at will!"

Xiao Xin tried to pull him back, but Qiao Chen pressed her wrist down.

Xiao Xin looked up at him, but Qiao Chen didn't say anything. He just glanced at him indifferently, raised his arm, hooked it around Mo Xuan's neck, and pulled Mo Xuan towards the door.

Before leaving, Qiao Chen said, "I'll take him out first, you two chat."

The bodyguard followed him out the door, which was then closed behind him.

The room suddenly felt much emptier and quieter.

Xiao Xin stood motionless by the bed with her head down.

He stroked the cake box in his hand, his eyes unconsciously reddening.

The room fell silent, the noise from before gone, and the air became deathly still.

Neither of them spoke first. Fu Yan leaned against the headboard, quietly waiting for him to speak first.

As a result, Xiao Xin kept her head down looking at the cardboard box in her hand and never looked up at him.

The two remained locked in a stalemate for a minute before Fu Yan surrendered, breaking the silence first.

"come over."

Hearing his voice, Xiao Xin looked up at Fu Yan. A tear rolled down her cheek as he looked up, silently dripping onto the cardboard box in her hand, spreading into a small splash.

Fu Yan noticed that his eyes were red-rimmed, and his brows furrowed slightly.

He patted the edge of his bed and said patiently in a low voice, "Come here."

Xiao Xin raised her hand and wiped the corner of her eye.

He always felt that Fu Yan had changed; his words were cold and devoid of any human warmth.

I won't call him brother anymore...

He knew that Fu Yan would never call him brother when he was angry. This time, because of him, Fu Yan was beaten and hospitalized again. How could he not be angry?

Seeing him lost in thought, Fu Yan, though awkward, tentatively called out, "Brother..."

Xiao Xin snapped out of his daze, looked up and met Fu Yan's gentle gaze, as if he were seeing the little puppy who used to pester him and call him "brother."

Seeing the light in his eyes, Fu Yan patted the bedside again and called to him, "Brother, come here."

Xiao Xin moved her feet as if possessed, slowly walked to the bedside, and placed the cake in her hand on the bedside table.

When Xiao Xin turned her head and met Fu Yan's gaze, she felt a sudden panic for no reason.

He looked away and pointed to the beautifully decorated gift box on the bedside table, saying, "There's a cake in here. You can eat it if you want, or throw it away if you don't. I... I won't bother you any longer."

After he finished speaking, he lowered his head and turned to leave, when his wrist was suddenly grabbed.

The burning heat from his fingertips spread to his skin, a familiar yet strange feeling rising in his heart.

With his back to Fu Yan, Xiao Xin suddenly felt that although they had only been apart for three days, it felt like three centuries had passed...

He didn't break free from Fu Yan, suppressing the turmoil in his heart, and turned to look at him calmly, saying, "Is there anything else?"

Fu Yan was stung by the coldness in his eyes, and his brow twitched slightly: "I'm lying here, and you're not even going to ask why?"

Xiao Xin's lips tightened into a straight line as she looked away. "I'm sorry, I don't know why you went to my house, but we've broken up. Don't come looking for me again..."

"Then why did you come to see me?" Fu Yan questioned, his eyes beginning to redden.

Xiao Xin pursed her lips, blinked, and held back her tears. "I just want to be sure..."

He choked up slightly as he said this, then continued, "I'm glad you're alright. I have something to do, so I'll be going now..."

Fearing she would lose control of her emotions, Xiao Xin struggled to free herself from Fu Yan's grasp, wanting to leave this place as soon as possible.

Seeing him struggling violently, Fu Yan exerted a little force and pulled Xiao Xin towards himself.

Xiao Xin lost her balance and fell face-first into Fu Yan's chest.

Xiao Xin listened to his rhythmic heartbeat and felt inexplicably flustered.

He propped himself up on Fu Yan's shoulders, preparing to get up. Fu Yan's hand naturally wrapped around his waist, holding him tightly in his arms in an ambiguous position.

Xiao Xin struggled instinctively, and her hand accidentally pressed against the wound on Fu Yan's abdomen.

"Hiss, uh..."

Fu Yan gasped, tightening his grip on Xiao Xin's arms.

He buried his head in Xiao Xin's neck and whispered, "Brother, I have a wound in my abdomen..."

Xiao Xin realized what was happening and stopped moving around.

His chin rested on Fu Yan's shoulder, his breathing a little rapid, "I won't touch you, just let me go..."

Upon hearing this, Fu Yan tightened her grip on him.

He held Xiao Xin in his arms as if he were embracing his entire world.

Shawn is his whole world.

"This time I won't let you go again, and you can't leave me either..." he whispered on Xiao Xin's neck.

The scalding heat sprayed onto Xiao Xin's neck, burning his nerves with each breath.

Xiao Xin was terrified and wanted to push Fu Yan away, but he was afraid of aggravating his wounds, so he could only let Fu Yan hold him.

A short while later, Xiao Xin felt a dampness on the side of his neck.

His heart skipped a beat, and he asked softly, "You...you've been crying?"

Fu Yan's throat tightened, "Xiao Xin, you're not allowed to leave me."

Xiao Xin couldn't see his expression, but couldn't help reaching out to gently pat Fu Yan's back: "Fu Yan, you're still young, there are some things..."

"Is it because of that Mo Xuan?" Fu Yan interrupted him, but he couldn't hear anything right now.

Xiao Xin: "No."

"Then why did you break up with me?"

The topic has circled back to itself.

Xiao Xin felt somewhat helpless, unsure of how to explain it to him.

“Xiao Xin, I love you…” Fu Yan continued.

Xiao Xin paused in patting his back, then continued, "Fu Yan, don't be willful..."

“You ignore me, you don’t answer my calls, you don’t reply to my messages, so I have no choice but to come to you…” Fu Yan ignored him and continued talking to herself.
