Wang Lili glanced at the people lying on the ground and couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "A bunch of useless trash."
Fu Yan looked in Xiao Xin's direction, his eyes becoming more and more determined. As soon as he lifted his foot, the numb, sharp pain slowly came over him. Looking down, he realized that there were two cuts on his right leg that he didn't know had appeared at the time.
The wound was gaping open, with blood gushing out, a horrifying sight under the dim light.
He endured the pain without even flinching, and strode over to Xiao Xin as if nothing had happened, quickly untying the ropes binding Xiao Xin.
The man standing behind Wang Lili tried to step forward to stop him: "Sister Li, he..."
Wang Lili raised her hand, stopping him from taking another step forward.
Fu Yan removed the ropes binding Xiao Xin, pulled him into his arms without a word, and whispered against his shoulder, "Brother, I'm here..."
Xiao Xin smelled the blood on him, her eyes stung, and her heart pounded wildly: "Who sent you?"
Fu Yan pursed his lips and remained silent.
Xiao Xin, breathing heavily, grew anxious when he saw that he didn't answer: "Let's go..."
"Okay, I'll take you away." Fu Yan pretended to pick him up.
Xiao Xin pushed him away with all her might, her voice trembling slightly: "I said you should leave."
Fu Yan shouldn't have come here. This is his and Wang Lili's private matter and has nothing to do with Fu Yan.
"..." Fu Yan gritted his teeth and remained motionless.
Xiao Xin was completely enraged, his eyes red as he growled, "Get out!"
Fu Yan stood frozen in place, looking down at Xiao Xin with a look of helplessness and confusion in his eyes.
"Get out of here!" Xiao Xin kicked his shin in frustration.
Fu Yan pursed his lips, his brows furrowed, and looked up at Wang Lili: "Release him, and I'll be his hostage."
"..." Xiao Xin's expression froze, and her breath caught in her throat for a moment.
He looked up at Fu Yan in disbelief: "Fu Yan, are you an idiot?"
Fu Yan lowered his eyes and took in the heartache in Xiao Xin's eyes.
He raised his hand and gently ruffled Xiao Xin's hair twice: "Whatever you say I am, that's what I am."
Xiao Xin felt a surge of soreness in her nose, and tears instantly blurred her vision.
"Stop acting all lovey-dovey, neither of you can leave," Wang Lili's voice echoed in the empty room.
Suddenly, a group of men in black appeared around them, forming an impenetrable wall.
Xiao Xin glanced at it and immediately felt a chill in his heart.
Fu Yan glanced coldly at Wang Lili: "I said let him go, and I'll be his hostage."
“Heh,” Wang Lili chuckled, “President Fu, do you think you have the right to negotiate with me right now?”
Fu Yan looked at her, puzzled: "Xiao Xin is your son, you..."
Wang Lili interrupted him: "Between son and life, I choose life."
Everything she's doing now is at someone's request.
Xiao Xin then noticed that something was wrong with Wang Lili. She used to ask him for money all the time, but she hadn't contacted him much lately. Moreover, judging from her complexion and appearance, she seemed to be doing quite well.
Where did Wang Lili get her money from?
Fu Yan glanced at the men in black and found some of them somewhat familiar.
He looked at Wang Lili in disbelief: "You and Jiang Yuqing...?"
Wang Lili opened her mouth to answer when applause suddenly rang out from the doorway.
"Xiao Yan is still as smart as ever."
Jiang Yuqing's voice came from outside the door. He was wearing a pure black suit. When he saw everyone's eyes focused on him, he immediately stopped clapping.
He put one hand in his pocket and stepped behind Wang Lili to a stop. "You guessed it, she's working with me."
Jiang Yuqing smiled smugly, radiating confidence that he had everything under his control.
"..." Xiao Xin's throat tightened, and she couldn't speak.
He never imagined that Wang Lili would collude with outsiders to cheat her own son for money.
Fu Yan stared at the two of them, speechless, his fists clenching involuntarily.
Seeing the suppressed anger in his eyes, Jiang Yuqing scoffed, "Little Yan, speaking of which, you should thank me..."
He walked past Wang Lili, approached Fu Yan, stopped in front of the two of them, glanced at Xiao Xin, and then said, "If I hadn't had someone follow Xiao Xin, he might already be abroad by now."
Fu Yan was clearly taken aback. His body reacted instinctively first, he gripped Jiang Yuqing's collar and punched him in the jaw.
Jiang Yuqing tilted her head, her teeth hitting the inside of her mouth, and a metallic taste instantly spread through her mouth.
When a group of bodyguards saw that Jiang Yuqing was injured, they all stepped forward. Jiang Yuqing frowned and waved to them.
The bodyguards immediately withdrew their feet, not daring to make any rash moves without orders.
Jiang Yuqing held his chin, pressed the tip of his tongue against the numb inside of his mouth, and hissed, "You really hit hard, kid."
Fu Yan grabbed his collar and said coldly, "Release him."
Jiang Yuqing relaxed her brows, smiled, and challenged, "What if I say no?"
Fu Yan tightened his grip on his collar, his brow furrowing: "What do you mean?"
Jiang Yuqing pulled away Fu Yan's hand that was gripping her collar, took a step back, looked into Fu Yan's eyes, and cursed, "Idiot."
As soon as he finished speaking, he pulled out a dagger from somewhere and held it straight to Xiao Xin's throat, threatening Fu Yan with his eyes: "Step back."
Xiao Xin felt a chill on his neck, and the hairs on his body stood on end; a creepy feeling spread throughout his entire body.
His whole body stiffened, and cold sweat poured down his forehead.
Xiao Xin's eyelashes trembled; that was the only sign of fear he could currently display.
Fu Yan knew he was afraid of knives, but he was powerless to help him now.
Seeing that Fu Yan remained motionless, Jiang Yuqing grabbed Xiao Xin's hair and tightened the blade against his neck slightly. "Didn't you hear me?"
"Don't touch him." Fu Yan's eyes flickered slightly, and he reluctantly took a step back.
Jiang Yuqing gave the bodyguards a look, and the two bodyguards walked towards Fu Yan with ropes.
Fu Yan was kicked in the back of the knee from behind, lost his balance and fell to his knees.
The bodyguard grabbed his hands and tied his wrists behind his back with a rope.
Jiang Yuqing coldly looked down at Fu Yan, who was kneeling on the ground, and withdrew the knife that was held to Xiao Xin's neck.
A drop of red stained the blade. He picked it up, brought it close to his nose, and sniffed it. Every cell in his body seemed to be activated by the bloody smell, and his expression grew increasingly excited.
Fu Yan stared at him, finding Jiang Yuqing's smile increasingly strange.
Jiang Yuqing's face was excessively pale, and under the dim light, she looked like a vampire from the depths of the night.
Xiao Xin couldn't see Jiang Yuqing's face, but he could feel the chilling aura emanating from behind him.
Jiang Yuqing threw away the knife in her hand, grabbed Xiao Xin's hair, and leaned down to get close to the wound on his neck.
"Cough..." Xiao Xin tilted his head back suddenly and choked on his own saliva.
The next second, a warm, wet sensation came from the wound on my neck, accompanied by a stinging pain.
Jiang Yuqing was licking his wounds...
