This is the first Resident Evil movie, located in the Umbrella Corporation's underground Hive.
Soon after, it became a haven for zombies and lickers.
Cheng Shuang had the least to worry about: the Demon Infant. Its electricity was much more abundant than after Silent Hill was activated. After all, with Alessa, the humanoid power source, 'supplementing' it, the Demon Infant was able to maintain enough power to subdue a low-level 'Licker'.
Moreover, the demonic infant appears to have a physical form, but it is composed of vengeful spirits. If it does not wish to, no one except Cheng Shuang, who holds the key to the door, can touch it.
It's not like there are Lam Ching-yings everywhere abroad, and it just so happens that the "demon baby" doesn't believe in Jesus.
Seeing Alice staring at Ryan with obvious concern, Cheng Shuang pursed her lips and obediently sat within Alice's line of sight.
She watched Resident Evil with Uncle Du and remembered it clearly: in this episode, apart from Alice and Matt, all the members of the assault team, including Rain and Kaplan, who had just helped them open the door, died.
Even after receiving the antidote, Ryan still couldn't withstand the zombie virus and became a zombie herself, getting shot in the head.
Looking at the beautiful, black-haired young woman who remained unconscious with her head drooping, the girl felt a surge of excitement. She wanted to test whether her repair skills could cure this genetic infection. She wasn't interested in disrupting the plot, and besides, saving a minor character often wouldn't affect the overall main storyline.
Of course, she didn't feel sorry for Miss Rain because she was pretty and capable.
Cheng Shuang was thinking long-term; she wanted to take precautions.
If she were to inevitably contract the virus and become a cannibalistic monster in the Resident Evil, not only would she be unable to find Uncle Du, but she herself would most likely be trapped unconscious for the rest of her life.
Therefore, her repair skills are crucial in overcoming the zombie virus.
Don't think that being a zombie for life is an exaggeration. Look at Liu Juan's half-white hair. Although returning to the age of a convenience store clerk is not a big deal, who would choose to maintain or lose their humanity? Besides, one must have a brain and memory to actively notify the single ticket and open the door to return. Otherwise, one may not die, but the future is only a miserable life of howling and eating people. It's better to die peacefully.
The little girl couldn't help but shudder at the thought of such a future.
The chill alerted Alice, who tilted her head and asked, "Are you really alright?"
Cheng Shuang shook her head, "I suddenly felt a bit cold, like something was chasing after me!" She took the opportunity to remind several characters in the story to be more vigilant.
"Kid, don't say such discouraging things!" Matt felt a little nervous. He tried to relax and pointed at Rain, laughing, "Look, Rain is about to wake up..." He stopped mid-sentence. Rain might wake up, or she might turn into a zombie. No one could predict.
Alice looked at the weapon on the floor beside her, picked it up with determination, pointed it at Rain's forehead, hooked her fingertips on the trigger, hesitated for a long time with bloodshot eyes, and just as she was about to pull the trigger, her wrist was suddenly grabbed.
Ryan slowly raised her head and said, "I'm not dead yet!" Then, coolly, she added, "I think I should put my gun away!"
Alice chuckled with delight, cupping Rain's cheek with one hand, her low, husky voice incredibly sexy, "I really want to kiss you!"
Cheng Shuang, who was watching this scene, covered her chest with her hand and exclaimed, "Wow, these two charming young ladies have such great chemistry!"
But the girl knew that this friendship wouldn't last long, because in the original story, the Licker appeared at this moment, foreshadowing that Rain would soon turn into a zombie.
She couldn't fight the virus and ultimately lost her gamble.
Sure enough, the train was violently struck, and three claw marks ripped through the carriage, injuring Matt's upper arm as a result.
Dangerous sparks flew everywhere inside the carriage, which shook violently, and everyone was in a panic.
Alice held her weapon, trying to remain calm, and looked around warily.
Kaplan, who was focused on starting the train ahead, asked loudly, "What happened in the back?"
Matt yelled, "We have to get out of here right now!"
Kaplan said urgently, "If we go any faster, the train will derail!"
As the train swayed, Cheng Shuang had already laid down on the floor. Seeing Ryan struggling to avoid the sparks from the broken wires, she approached her and pretended to help her up, calling out loudly, "Miss, let me help you!"
If it weren't for the weakness in her limbs caused by the infection, she wouldn't have needed a child of unknown origin to lend a hand. She felt herself getting colder and colder, not knowing whether it was because of the tension of the monster attack or because of an even worse situation.
She nodded to Cheng Shuang to express her gratitude.
Cheng Shuang smiled back and activated her repairman skill the moment she touched Rain.
She didn't use her full strength; after the most recent upgrade, she could produce twenty pink pills a day.
She only used half of the amount, which was the amount of ten pills that could repair most of the severe burns from the past thirty years.
Ryan suddenly felt a warm current coming from the little girl's palm against her skin. She instinctively tried to break free from the girl's grasp, but then the carriage shook again.
The driver's side door where Kaplan was located suddenly opened, and a huge, ugly head appeared abruptly, opening its hideous maw and viciously grabbing at Kaplan's head.
Then, a small figure leaped down from above the head, yelled "Hey!" and kicked the big head blocking the doorway away, saving Kaplan's life by sheer coincidence.
Before Kaplan could even feel relieved, the little shadow who had saved him leaped over his head and into the back carriage, instantly throwing itself into the little girl's arms.
