Key Points of Chapter 22

The moment the majestic brown bear was hugged by its owner, it reverted to its original size, becoming tiny and lacking its former ferocity.

Cheng Shuang wasn't disappointed. She bent down and gave the little bear a big kiss on the forehead, then quickly sat back down to watch where she was going, completely ignoring the glint in those inorganic eyes.

The narrow track immediately underwent a new change.

A sharp right-angle turn was just ahead, dashing any hopes the participants had of predicting the road conditions ahead, while the stench grew stronger and stronger.

After turning the corner of this narrow road, the view suddenly opens up.

The road suddenly widened to ten, and the muddy terrain ahead was as difficult to traverse as a swamp, immediately forcing the race car to reduce its speed.

Although the splashing mud won't hurt people or cars, it can stink up your eyes and make you cry when it gets on you.

Everyone used their best skills to dodge the mud splatter attacks, and in no time, the winding, wide and long track was filled with ten cars running side by side.

"They're about to unleash their ultimate move!" Du Jun's voice was hoarse as he stared intently at the road.

The little girl, now visibly invigorated by the smoke, pursed her lips. She and her three teammates were now positioned towards the back of the row of cars.

But the other six cars, except for number 3, all had bat-wielding men with bulging eyes.

Although Number 3 was reckless, he wasn't stupid. When he noticed that Du Jun and the other three were controlling their speed by taking detours, he also turned the steering wheel and drew several half-circles in the muddy ground. Then, he made a series of turns and drove alongside Number 4, deliberately leaving half a car behind him.

At this moment, the two cars were almost within arm's reach, and his eyes darted around, as if he was plotting something wicked.

Liu Juan saw everything clearly. She glared at Number 3, her face pale, and bit her lip. She wanted to remind Cheng Shuang but was afraid of disturbing the monsters that were lurking around in their cars.

The sky suddenly darkened, and huge raindrops began to fall without warning, stinging the skin but washing away the splashing mud.

Before Cheng Shuang could even feel happy, a layer of mist gradually rose around them, obscuring their view. Soon, the figures of Liu Juan and the others appeared and disappeared in the mist.

Worse still, the muddy puddles, soaked by rainwater, became increasingly slippery, making it impossible to slow down by turning and posing a risk of chain-reaction accidents.

It gives one the illusion that the track is urging them to widen the gap between each other.

By the time Cheng Shuang realized what was happening, a gaze filled with intense malice came from her right.

She looked up abruptly.

The bat-wielding man's ashen face was inches away, his bulging eyes almost touching the little girl's face. He stood motionless, grinning to reveal teeth covered in black slime... He held a bat in his left hand and lightly gripped the steering wheel with his right, clearly not caring about road safety. He was more interested in smelling the sweet aroma of flesh and blood.

Cheng Shuang turned her head slightly, staring intently at the two trembling eyes that were fixed on her. Their eyes were wide open, and their breathing was almost stopped.

"That damn fog again!" A strange man's voice suddenly rang out from the left rear.

"ah!"

Suddenly, he let out another piercing scream, which startled the little girl, but she still dared not look away from the bat-wielding man's eyes.

Just then, the car came with a huge thrust, and with several jerks, it used the slippery road to push her to the front, into the circle of several bat-wielding men.

Cheng Shuang's face was pale and bloodless, like a lamb caught in a wolf pack. She stared blankly at the monsters, who were half a head taller than her, as they leaned down, grinned at her, and raised wooden sticks...

"Shuangshuang!" Liu Juan cried out in alarm from not far away.

Several wooden sticks swept down, but missed.

The group looked anxiously, but the driver's seat was empty.

The clever little girl had slipped down to her feet, curled up in a ball, and let the vehicle lose control, recklessly and laboriously moving forward through the mud.

This accidental evasive maneuver somehow managed to create a breakthrough in the menacing encirclement.

The car slowed down as a result.

Lacking targets, the bat-wielders, scattered in frustration after being battered and broken, began searching for other living people to attack.

"The road has changed!" Du Jun's voice rang out loudly.

The once wide and seemingly endless track is now just a blur of motion for them, with them occasionally scraping against other vehicles.

It resembles a giant bumper car amusement park.

The batter, blending into the rain, unexpectedly appeared in front of someone.

In the blink of an eye, the little girl who was wandering around looking for an exit and the man waving the stick looked at each other. Before it could swing the stick, the little girl suddenly stretched out her two little hands, grabbed its eyeballs hard, and pulled them down with force.

With a roar that sounded like a mixture of pain and rage, "Heh!"

"Ha, I've wanted to do this for ages!" The little girl playfully tossed the slippery ball in her hand with a smirk, wiped the slime on her clothes, and watched as the bat-wielding man covered his eyes with his hands. She then turned sideways, caught the wooden stick it dropped, assumed a rugby stance, and swung it with all her might.

There was no bloody and disgusting scene as expected; only a 'ding' sound and a firefly-like, fleeting, bright light that quickly dissipated.

The batter and the car in front of me vanished into the distance.

Congratulations to the participant for capturing one trespasser. There are still twenty-three trespassers remaining. Please capture them all within half an hour.

Even though the guy also killed the bat-wielding man, why did only she receive the notification sound?

As Cheng Shuang pondered, something flashed through her mind, but the entire car suddenly lost control and sped forward, causing her small body to lean backward uncontrollably. She quickly gripped the steering wheel with both hands.

She realized, "The eyes are the key!"

The echo was still lingering when the person appeared in a rugged mountain wilderness.

Lush greenery, with tall trees, grass, flowers, and white clouds.

Such an environment is filled with the peaceful atmosphere of nature, which makes people relax without even realizing it. Even wet, light clothes slowly dry under the sun.

But Cheng Shuang dared not be careless, her dark eyes, already bloodshot, searching around.

As the car drove halfway up the mountain, its chassis made a clattering sound as if it couldn't bear the weight.

It's best not to expect plastic toys to have shock absorption capabilities.

The little girl tried to convince herself that she wasn't afraid of being alone. She just felt that something was wrong, but even though she was almost at the top of the mountain, she couldn't find anything unusual.

A gentle breeze brushed my face as I sped along, the sun was shining brightly, and there was a faint smell of the sea.

If it weren't for the perilous situation, the tranquil and beautiful scenery around us would have been absolutely unforgettable.

Two years ago, their family's last trip was to a place surrounded by green hills and clear waters, where birds sang and flowers bloomed everywhere...

wrong!

The little girl instantly snapped out of her pleasant memories, sat up straight, and intently surveyed her surroundings.

It's so quiet!
