Chapter 180: Which prince was her son?

Su Yushan regained her composure and began to carefully examine her child.

The baby hadn't opened his eyes yet, so she couldn't tell who he looked like. She hadn't had much affection for babies before, but now that this chubby infant was right in front of her, looking at his little nose, little mouth, and curled little fingers, Su Yushan's heart softened, and she felt something slowly melting away.

She unconsciously raised her finger to touch his small hand, which was soft, smooth, and tender, making her love it so much that she couldn't put it down, and the corners of her lips unconsciously curved up.

Chang Yue laughed from the side, "The little prince is so handsome, he has inherited all the good looks of the princess and the fourth prince!"

Yunfang was very curious. "I really want to see what he looks like when he opens his eyes, and whose eyes he looks like."

However, the child was sleeping soundly, and she couldn't wake him up; she could only wait for him to wake up naturally after he had slept enough.

Su Yushan wasn't in a hurry, but secretly she hoped her child's eyes would resemble hers, since her eyes were bigger than Hongli's!

Lost in thought, Su Yushan gently pulled up the child's little finger and was surprised to find that his nails were long and soft, so soft that they curled up together.

"Aren't these nails a bit too long? What if you scratch yourself? Shouldn't you trim them?"

The nanny said no, saying that a newborn baby's nails shouldn't be cut, as it might frighten him out of his wits. "The little prince's nails are very soft and won't hurt himself. This old servant will keep a close eye on him, so please don't worry, Princess."

The ancients were superstitious, and there was nothing she could do but put it aside for the time being and wait for Hongli to return.

The baby's soft little hands felt wonderful to touch. As Su Yushan played with the child's hands, she inadvertently noticed what appeared to be a scar between his fingertips. Startled, she immediately sat up, enduring the pain, and questioned the nanny.

"How did my child get injuries on their fingers? What happened?"

The old nanny quickly knelt down and replied, "Princess, please calm down! This old servant has served the young prince with utmost care and would never dare to harm him!"

She assumed the nanny was the problem, that she was abusing her child in secret, and only after repeated questioning did the nanny tell the truth.

"Those scars were actually left from a blood test for kinship."

Upon hearing this, Su Yushan was incredulous. "A blood test for kinship? Whose idea was this?"

Su Gege pressed her for an answer, and after much hesitation, the old woman finally replied, "It was...it was the Fourth Master's idea."

In that instant, Su Yushan was shocked, as if she had been plunged into an ice cave! Hongli said he loved children, and she had risked her life to give birth to this child for him, yet he was still doubting the child's origins!
