"That's a question for you to answer." Hongli turned around, looked out the window, his eyes filled with resentment.
"This is utter nonsense!" After talking for a long time, she still couldn't dispel his suspicions. So Su Yushan gave up and continued to rest by the window.
He wouldn't give up, grabbing her waist and asking, "I'll ask you one more time, have you regained your memories?"
Looking him directly in the eye, Su Yushan resolutely replied, "No!"
Her answer was so straightforward, yet he didn't know whether to believe her. Looking at her indifferent expression, Hongli felt neglected. Indignant, he tilted his head slightly, lowered his head and captured her lips, kissing her fiercely, as if to vent all his dissatisfaction.
Suddenly kissed so forcefully that it hurt her, Su Yushan instinctively pushed him away and turned her head away, unwilling to be intimate with him.
This further angered Hongli. "Since you haven't regained your memories, why are you hiding? You wouldn't have been so resistant before."
“You’re arguing with me, and I’m feeling angry. How can I be in the mood for intimacy?” This is a very normal reaction, but he became suspicious of her and started to believe that there was something wrong with her based on mere rumors.
Hongli, who had never been treated so disrespectfully, felt extremely frustrated. He released her waist, turned around, sat up straight, sneered, and said nothing more.
The trip had turned into this mess, and neither of them was happy, nor were they willing to back down.
After getting off the carriage and returning to the mansion, Su Yushan went back to Tingfeng Pavilion. Hongli did not follow her and went straight to his study.
His footsteps faded into the distance, and she neither turned back nor tried to stop him, truly unwilling to stay with him and cause another argument.
