Chapter Seventy: The Birth of Liu Liu

"Six pounds and six ounces, what a chubby girl." Yi Hua took a sip of water to moisten her parched throat. "In that case, let's call her Liu Liu."

Upon hearing this, Honghui looked up at Yihua and asked, "Mother, what is Honghui's nickname?"

Yi Hua waved to him: "Hong Hui, did I scare you yesterday?"

Honghui nodded first, then shook his head: "Mother, I was with my older sister yesterday, so I wasn't afraid."

The eldest princess? Yi Hua was a little surprised, but after thinking about it, she felt it made sense. The eldest princess and Hong Hui had been each other's only playmates for a period of time when they were young, so there was still a special kind of affection between them.

"Don't be afraid, your mother will always be with you and will watch you get married and have children." Yi Hua said with a smile, "You don't have a nickname, so the name Honghui is a unique mark on you in this world, and your mother thinks that's very good."

Honghui understood somewhat, and he tentatively asked, "Did Mother personally name it for Honghui?"

Yi Hua shook her head: "Hong Hui's name was bestowed by the Emperor, what nonsense are you talking about, child?"

Honghui blushed deeply; he thought...

“Look, the Emperor dotes on you and gave you a name on your third-day celebration. Your sister, on the other hand, will only be given a name after she gets married, just like the eldest princess. So, your mother wants to give her a nickname that we can use in private. What do you think?”

"Okay, Liu Liu smiled. She likes the name too." Hong Hui was a little surprised to see the baby's innocent smile. "Mother, how can my little sister gnaw on her own toes? She's so unhygienic."

"Hahaha!" Yi Hua laughed until her stomach started to cramp. "Big brother, not to mention second brother, you also chewed on it when you were little. Besides, Mother has some of her calligraphy still in there."

Honghui's eyes widened in disbelief as he asked, "Calligraphy?"

"Yes, in the future, your mother plans to leave it to your wife as a wedding gift, okay?" Yi Hua teased him mischievously. Hong Hui's body was tense when he came in, obviously frightened by her. Yi Hua wanted to ease his emotions, ignoring her aching body, and chatted and laughed with Hong Hui as usual.

"Son... I'll go back now and leave some precious memories for my sister, so she can use them in the future." Honghui, with the mindset that sharing happiness is worse than keeping it to himself, walked out of Yihua's courtyard.

As soon as Honghui's figure disappeared, Yihua immediately turned over and started gagging. Her body, which had been holding on just moments before, began to tremble, and the people in the room hurriedly tried to help her catch her breath.

After catching her breath, Yi Hua felt much more comfortable lying flat: "Don't tell Hong Hui a single word about what just happened."

At this moment, Honghui stopped at the corner outside the main courtyard, turned his head and stared intently in the direction he had come from. He gritted his teeth, recalling his mother's right hand, which had been trembling like a sieve under the covers, and tried to calm himself down.

Mother, please get well soon!
