Inside the carriage, Lanxi cursed Mu Anxiang until he was covered in blood before she felt relieved.
Are you tired?
Mu Anxiang looked at her, then took out a flask of wine from his pocket: "Want to quench your thirst?"
Lanxi glanced to the side, and a fragrant aroma wafted into her nose. She swallowed hard and said, "It smells so good, I'll just have a taste."
"Okay, just one bite."
If Mu Anxiang truly understood Lanxi, he wouldn't have so easily believed what she said.
She opened her mouth, holding the wine jug, and gulped down all the wine in one go.
"Lanxi!"
Mu Anxiang stared at her in disbelief.
"Burp!" Lan Xi burped, then threw the wine jug at Mu Anxiang, tilted her head, and passed out drunk.
Mu Anxiang wanted to slap himself. Why did you give her alcohol?
The carriage continued its swaying journey, and Lanxi's head, leaning against the carriage wall, tilted further and further to the side, until finally it rested directly on Mu Anxiang's shoulder.
Suddenly feeling the weight on his arm, Mu Anxiang's body trembled slightly. He turned his head to look at her. Her beautiful face was flushed, her lips were slightly parted, and her breath was filled with the fragrance of sweet wine.
As he looked at her, Mu Anxiang couldn't help but swallow. Those rosy, full lips seemed to be constantly tempting him.
As if possessed, he lowered his head and moved closer to her.
Just then, the carriage wheel suddenly ran over a stone, causing the entire carriage to swerve violently. Due to the inertia, Mu Anxiang's head snapped downwards, and unexpectedly, he kissed Lan Xi's lips.
The moist touch was a sensation he had never experienced before, and the sweet fragrance almost made him unable to extricate himself from it.
He sat up abruptly, his back pressed tightly against the carriage wall, breathing heavily.
Lanxi kept her eyes closed, but tilted her head and snuggled into Mu Anxiang's arms.
His body trembled again, and his hands, as if they had just grown back, held the already completely drunk Lanxi, his whole body in disarray in the carriage.
A moment later, a servant's voice came from outside the carriage: "Your Highness, we have arrived."
"Okay, okay."
Without saying a word, Mu Anxiang carefully placed Lanxi in his arms onto the carriage, then rushed off to get some fresh air.
He felt that if he didn't go out and get some fresh air, he would suffocate.
"Your Highness? Where is the Princess?"
Mu Anxiang blushed inexplicably: "She's asleep. I'll just wander around by myself."
The servant looked puzzled: Asleep? The princess's sleep quality is truly enviable.
Mu Anxiang wandered around the small hill on the outskirts of the capital for a while, feeling bored. He checked the time and realized that Lanxi should be waking up soon, so it was about time to go back. He then returned to the carriage.
He asked, "Lanxi? Is she awake?"
"Lanxi?"
I called out several times but there was no response.
"Wow, she can really sleep."
He lifted the curtain, but his brows furrowed suddenly. The carriage was empty!
"Lanxi!"
The panic in his heart made his voice tremble.
"Lanxi, where are you?"
Mu Anxiang shouted, but all he heard was the rustling of leaves in the wind.
As he turned around, he saw that the servant had fallen asleep against the carriage wheel. Enraged, he kicked the servant and yelled, "You scoundrel, where is she? Where is the princess?"
The servant opened his sleepy eyes and looked at his furious master with a completely bewildered expression: "Huh? Your Highness? Isn't she in the carriage?"
