Extra Chapter 7 Something's Wrong

Gu Xichen and Jiang Junrong exchanged a glance, both seeing seriousness in each other's eyes.

They had no doubt about Jiang Jinxiu's judgment.

"It's a trap."

Gu Xichen immediately made a judgment: "That Feng Jingui, either he didn't come, or... it was a trap he deliberately set up to kill someone with a borrowed knife."

"Using someone else to do the dirty work?"

Jiang Junrong was taken aback: "Whose knife did you borrow?"

"Use our knife to kill that skinny monkey. Or perhaps you want to wipe us all out in one fell swoop." Gu Xichen's eyes turned cold.

This Feng Jingui is even more cunning and ruthless than they imagined.

He not only betrayed his accomplices, but also tried to use them to silence them.

Just then, the skinny monkey they had sent in suddenly let out a shrill scream and scrambled out of the inn, his face filled with terror, as if he had seen a ghost.

"Ghost! There's a ghost!" he shouted incoherently as he ran.

But he hadn't run more than a few steps when several men wielding sticks and machetes rushed out of the hotel and, without saying a word, struck him on the back with a stick.

The skinny monkey screamed and fell to the ground, instantly surrounded by the group of people.

"Damn it, how dare he betray our boss! Brothers, kill him!" shouted a bald, burly man at the head of the group.

It turns out that this was not a trap set by Feng Jingui at all, but an internal conflict among the skinny monkey gang of thieves!

Feng Jingui never arranged to meet them here. It was this skinny guy who betrayed his accomplices to save his own life, wanting them to be his scapegoats!

"What should we do?" Jiang Junrong hadn't expected things to turn out this way.

"Save them first," Gu Xichen decided immediately.

Although this skinny monkey wasn't a good person either, he was the only clue to finding Feng Jingui, so he couldn't just die like that.

Before he finished speaking, Gu Xichen had already rushed out.

He was incredibly fast. Before the others could even make out his figure, the bald, burly man at the front had already been sent flying, his machete clattering to the ground.

"Who goes there?" The others were taken aback and turned around.

Jiang Junrong followed closely behind. Although he was older, he was still a former soldier and his skills were still quite good compared to the average person.

He grabbed a stick from the roadside and swung it across, knocking the two men off balance.

The scene instantly descended into chaos.
