Chapter 99 Reconciliation

Chapter 99 Reconciliation

My phone vibrated. It was a video sent by the Rainbow Group.

The two human traffickers were in the same ward, wrapped in white gauze like mummies, with large and small tubes inserted into their mouths and noses. They were only breathing more than a dead person.

"Stay there and don't move. Be ready to follow my instructions at any time."

Ning Che typed a few words and put away the phone.

The car turned into a manor and stopped in front of the most magnificent white marble building.

Several people got out of the car and were led through the main door by the servants. Bai Yan was sitting upright on the sofa in the living room.

She was dressed in a silk Chinese gown, her long hair tied up in a bun, and a white jade tassel hairpin dangling from her hair, looking elegant and graceful. It was obvious that she had dressed up specially for the purpose of welcoming guests.

Chen He wore a light blue cheongsam with a jade hairpin, and looked more delicate and youthful than Bai Yan.

When the two men saw the door open, they didn't stand up, but just sat on the sofa and looked over, as steady as a rock.

The last time I saw Chen He was at the police station. We had a deep sisterly love, with you helping me and me feeling sorry for you.

The next time we meet, he will come to question us coldly.

People's hearts have really changed.

But he was wrong anyway, so Chen He and the Bai family were being polite.

He had been carefully observing the expressions of the two since he entered the room, and both mother and son looked unhappy.

Then it's useless to say anything.

You have to get them willing to speak first.

With an idea in mind, Ning Che walked forward slowly and greeted the two with a smile.

"Aunt, Sister He."

The two watched him walk towards them with no expression on their faces. It wasn't until Ning Che stopped in front of them and saw his pale face that their eyes flickered for a moment.

Ning Che thought to himself: The self-torture scheme worked!

He coughed twice in a pretentious manner and did not mention his purpose.

He reached out to the driver and placed a sandalwood box in front of Bai Yan with both hands.

"The sword Xiao Che gave me last time was too heavy, and it was dangerous to practice with it daily. Ever since I got home that day, I've been thinking about finding a good, lightweight sword to give to my aunt."

He dragged the box with one hand and opened the lid with the other.

He squatted beside the coffee table very naturally and raised it from bottom to top in front of Bai Yan.

His posture is respectful and he is as obedient as a soft-haired puppy.

There was a gentle smile on his raised face, which was completely different from his usual domineering and unruly appearance.

Chen He couldn't help but open her eyes wide and looked at him in amazement.

Although this was Bai Yan's second time meeting Ning Che, he had heard a lot about Ning Che's "glorious deeds" from major media and his daughter.

Seeing him squatting gently at his feet, he was also stunned.

Such an arrogant and unreasonable person who gets into trouble all the time can actually do this for an apology.

It can be seen that he really feels guilty about what happened to Jiaer and sincerely wants to make peace.

As the largest shareholder of the Fu Group, who had succeeded Fu Chen, he held absolute power. If he had even a modicum of arrogance, he wouldn't have wronged himself like this.

Bai Yan nodded, his eyes were no longer cold and his expression became much softer.

She didn't reach for the sword, but leaned forward, holding Ning Che's arms and pulling him up. "We're all family, no need to be so polite."

Seeing her mother's tone slow, Chen He stopped being polite and waved to the servant, "Bring the tea."

Ning Che then stood up and sat down on the single sofa to Bai Yan's left.

He extended his hand towards the little girl and said coldly, "Tell me about your crime."

The girl took two steps forward, lowered her head and stared at the floor, her hands clenched into fists at her sides. Her voice was soft and childish, but every word she spoke was trembling.

Bai Yan and Chen He are both mothers and understand what happened.

Although this child is hateful, she will face being violated or killed if she doesn't do it.

Girls don't fetch a good price in human trafficking circles, let alone young children who can't bear children. Not only can they do little work, but they also need food and water to support themselves. Traffickers are too lazy to take the risk of reselling them, so they simply keep them around as helpers.

As she spoke, the trembling in her voice gradually spread, and her whole body was shaking violently.

Her lips were pressed into a tight line, and her large eyes were blinking frequently, refusing to let the tears fall. Her scrawny little body stood straight, without a trace of pleading or showing weakness.

"I..." She bit her lower lip hard to hold back the tears.

"If I didn't do it, they would beat me." She moved her hands in front of her and clasped them together, her finger bones showing a sickly pale color through the thin skin.

"One time I failed, they gave me medicine to make me grow faster, saying that I could sell my ass to earn money for them."

She suddenly looked up and smiled brightly at Ning Che.

The teeth were still in the round shape of baby teeth, but the corners of the mouth were curved in a strange way.

The way he smiled was somewhat similar to when Ning Che was angry.

"I knew this day would come sooner or later. Rather than being played to death by them, I'd rather be killed by you. Thank you for letting me have a full meal."

"What a tragedy!" Bai Yan shed tears.

She couldn't bear to see the fearless expression on the child's face, and she couldn't bear to hear all the inhumane treatment she had received.

Everything, all turned into one sentence.

It's fate.

Bai Yan didn't want to find out why she kidnapped Jia'er. It was all fate's trick. It was destined that Jia'er would survive the disaster, and it was also destined that the little girl would meet a noble person.

She took the little girl's hand and pulled her to her side. Wiping away her tears, she said, "What else can you say? We're just desperate to protect our son, so we have to vent our anger on you. No one is wrong, especially you. You're just trying to save your life. What's your fault?"

The servant handed over a cup of hot milk and placed it in front of the little girl.

The girl still didn't dare to answer, and looked at Ning Che with her big eyes like black grapes.

Ning Che nodded before she took it.

Two bruised little hands held the glass, and their fingers gently stroked the patterns on the wall of the glass.

"It's a good thing that you know how to protect yourself. But you also have to know how to resist."

Ning Che pulled up the screen on his phone and held it up in front of everyone, "These are the two human traffickers."

Chen He gritted his teeth in hatred, "Kill them!"

"That's too easy for them." Ning Che called the Rainbow Group. "Check them regularly, and re-break the bones when they're healed. Castrate them when no one's around, and remember, make sure they're alive!"

"Okay!"

Bai Yan and Chen He have been in the business world for a long time and are used to seeing dirty things, so they didn't react much.

The little girl shuddered suddenly, and there was a hint of timidity in her eyes as she looked at Ning Che.

Ning Che smiled, and his smile was warm again.

"Aunt, where's Jia'er?"

The servant was very perceptive and had already gone to call. A cry of surprise from the stairs startled everyone. "Uncle!"

"You came to see me!"

The little white ball ran down from the upstairs and crashed into Ning Che like a mountain, causing him and the chair to slide one meter on the ground.

There was a sharp sound of "Shhh!"

Ning Che hadn't eaten much for two days. After being hit, he felt dizzy and fell into the chair, unable to get up.

"Uncle, what's wrong with you?"

The chubby boy grabbed the corner of his white shirt and shook it, while Ning Che struggled to stand up by holding onto the handle of the chair.

"It's okay, just a broken rib."

"You're teasing the child again!" Chen He patted him with a smile.

The haze has passed and the sun has come out.

In the living room, old and young gathered together.

Bai Yan and his mother pulled Ning Che aside to talk about family matters. Jia'er came close to the little girl and whispered to her, asking her who had caused the wounds on her hands and neck.

Boonie Bears was playing on TV, and the little girl was fascinated by it. Jiaer glanced at it occasionally, then lowered her head and sighed softly at the bruises on the little girl's palms.

The cartoons were babbling, the adults spoke softly, and the children were quiet.

In the garden, sparrows chirped as they pecked at the grass. The morning was peaceful.

A car passed by outside the gate, startling several birds.

The wings flapped, and then there was the sound of anxious, urgent footsteps at the door...

Ning Che reacted first and turned to look.

I didn't see the person, but was stunned by his voice.

"Aunt, please don't make things difficult for Cheche. This is all my fault!"
