Chapter 2 Interview Secretary
Bo Wei arrived at the agreed interview location.
Everyone was busy on Monday morning. An employee wearing a name tag pointed to the rest area in the distance and asked her to wait.
When Bo Wei arrived, she found that the person who was competing with her had already arrived and was sitting comfortably on the sofa reading a magazine.
"You're here? Have a seat." The man was dressed in a suit and tie, quite tall, and very energetic. He generously gestured to the sofa opposite him.
A strange feeling crossed Bo Wei's mind, as if she had come to his living room, and she nodded politely.
I sat down on the sofa opposite and draped my bag over my knees.
She was wearing a knee-length black suit skirt and a white shirt on top.
"Why are you still carrying your resume? This is the last interview." Bo Wei's bag had a shallow opening, and half of her resume was sticking out.
She glanced down and said, "It's alright, just in case."
The man smiled and stretched out his hand from a distance, "May I take a look?"
Bo Wei paused, looked up at him quietly, and then gave a slight smile. "I'm sorry, it's not convenient."
The smile on the man's lips slowly faded, then he twitched his hand again and withdrew it. "It's alright, I was indeed a bit presumptuous."
He then added, half-jokingly, "Miss Bo, you're quite aloof."
Bo Wei didn't reply, but curled her lips slightly.
She ignored the slight awkwardness around her and pretended nothing had happened.
Calm and composed.
fortunately.
Soon someone came to greet them.
"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting. Mr. Wang Junming, please follow me. Ms. Bo, please wait a moment."
Bo Wei smiled, slightly nervous, "Okay."
In just ten minutes, it was her turn.
As she brushed past Wang Junming, she could feel the overwhelming confidence emanating from him.
His fleeting glance carried an barely suppressed pride and an air of certainty, as if he were retaliating for her earlier 'aloofness'.
Throughout the journey, Bo Wei had to admit that this man was very capable, with a mature and steady approach to problem-solving. However, the inherent arrogance and self-satisfaction in his bones were impossible to erase.
At this moment, there was absolutely no need for him to show such an attitude towards a 'defeated opponent,' which would appear extremely childish and frivolous.
This impetuousness will surely be reflected in his future work; this was Bo Wei's final assessment of him.
Regardless of Wang Junming's reaction, she suppressed her nervousness, quickly adjusted her expression, and knocked on the door to go inside.
Jiang Chengli's gaze fell on the face of the person who came in.
Good facial features?
Was Wang Junming not good?
She is indeed good-looking.
"Please sit down." He gestured with his hand.
Bo Wei noticed that there was only one interviewer today, and she was certain that they had already decided on the candidate.
This is just a formality now.
A sense of melancholy settled over me.
But she still cheered herself up and faced each interview with a smile. No matter what, she took every interview seriously. That was her attitude.
"Miss Bo, you're okay with business trips, right?" Jiang Chengli got straight to the point.
"Um."
"How long can you accept this at most? Miss Bo has a fiancé, will he agree?"
"I have no problem with that."
Jiang Chengli nodded. "Okay, then, Miss Bo, can you drink alcohol?"
Bo Wei's heart skipped a beat. Did this question mean there was still hope?
But……
A wave of disappointment washed over her, but she shook her head firmly. "I can't drink a drop of alcohol. The doctor has repeatedly warned me that I can't drink."
Even if you have fully recovered, it is best not to drink alcohol.
Although she often felt that the world was meaningless and she didn't know what she was living for, she was afraid when she brushed shoulders with death in the hospital, and now she cherishes her life very much.
Besides, she was in debt.
This answer made Jiang Chengli silent for a moment, and then he took out his phone.
Jiang Chengli: Bo Wei said that she couldn't drink any alcohol because of her illness.
Li He: No problem.
Jiang Chengli put away his phone and continued to ask Bo Wei, "How is your health recovering now?"
He knew she was sick; she had quit her previous job because of illness and had been unemployed for a year.
Bo Wei: "Okay, just be a little more careful about your diet."
Jiang Chengli nodded. "Okay. I have no problems on my end. Is there anything you want to ask?"
The simple question felt like a perfunctory response, or perhaps a final question before confirmation; she couldn't tell whether she had any hope at all.
Bo Wei clenched her hands, the question she wanted to ask stuck in her throat, and shook her head.
She immediately regretted it and asked, "When will we hear the interview results?"
Jiang Chengli pondered for a moment, "Before tonight."
"Okay, thank you." She said nervously.
Take the elevator downstairs.
In the enclosed elevator, she felt as if there was someone standing behind her.
The feeling was so intense and aggressive that she is still shaken by it.
Dou Ning, carrying pears, brushed past Bo Wei.
My attention was inevitably drawn to her.
What a beautiful woman!
At first glance, all I remember is that she has a very attractive figure, full and slender, but I haven't had a chance to see what her face looks like.
Her fair legs were just like the pears she had just bought.
Speaking of pears...
She, a woman who loves to eat fruit, went to an expensive fruit supermarket and realized that there are so many varieties of pears alone.
What President Li wanted was snow-white, honey-sweet, and juicy...
And we can't sample them.
She bought one of each, took a bite out of each one to try, and passersby looked at her as if she were crazy.
Finally, I chose a white, sweet, and juicy pear!
...
Bo Wei returned home, lay back on the sofa, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.
After resting for a while, I closed my eyes, reached for the bag next to me, and took out my phone.
I turned the phone's ringtone and text message notification sound to maximum and changed the vibration mode to ring mode.
Although the chances are slim, I still hope that a miracle might happen to me.
With her current abilities and experience, she is completely unqualified for the position of secretary at the Li Group.
The reason we got to this point was initially because the requirements for this recruitment were too lenient. I overheard two interviewers chatting and saying that they received hundreds of resumes as soon as the information was released.
As for what happened later, it was probably due to a combination of factors, including my previous work experience, educational background, on-the-spot reaction, and even my appearance and luck.
However, no matter how we got to where we are now, that's all we've gotten to.
never mind.
She got up and went back to her room, rolled up her long hair, tied it with a rubber band, and went into the bathroom.
With her eyes closed and head tilted back, she let the water flow down her neck, gurgling down her delicate breasts, past her flat stomach, and into her.
The restlessness in my heart was slowly carried away by the flowing water, and my tense brows gradually relaxed.
After taking a shower, I changed into my usual clothes and washed and hung up the clothes and skirt I had taken off.
She had done her best to secure the job at the Li Group.
The outcome is already decided; even if she cries and screams or jumps off a building now, it will be useless.
In the afternoon, she sat in front of the computer, compared all the information she had previously saved, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the companies and positions for her desired job.
After eliminating some options, she was left with only two companies she liked. She submitted her resume and is now waiting for their HR responses.
I glanced at the time; it was already five o'clock.
Ji Mingxiu has finished get off work; it's time for her to cook.
The inbox is completely silent; it seems there's no hope at all.
After a whole afternoon of intense concentration on reviewing and filtering information, my eyes and body are already exhausted.
I dragged my tired body to the kitchen to wash rice and cook.
I plugged in the rice, stood in front of the refrigerator picking and choosing, and finally managed to put together two or three dishes.
Before living with Ji Mingxiu, she had never seriously learned how to cook, and even when she cooked for herself, she just did it half-heartedly.
After being discharged from the hospital, they lived together for six months. While recuperating at home, she learned to cook online so that at least Ji Mingxiu could have a decent dinner when he came back.
Just as the last dish was placed on the table, a noise came from the door lock.
