Chapter 41 was in the newspaper.
"I don't know him."
Su Jin quickly regained her usual composure, but out of the corner of her eye, she still unconsciously glanced in the direction Xiao Yunfeng had just walked.
Zhou Zhenxing didn't believe her answer. "Then why are you hiding?"
Her reaction was extremely unusual.
Su Jin casually replied, "I just don't want the people in the military camp to know about our relationship."
Zhou Zhenxing persisted, pressing the question, "Is that really true?"
Su Jin finally looked away, staring at him expressionlessly. "Otherwise what?"
Zhou Zhenxing certainly couldn't explain her strange behavior just now, but he also didn't think she knew Xiao Yunfeng.
"Maybe I'm overthinking it."
After realizing what had happened, he didn't want to get entangled with Su Jin over this matter.
"I'm leaving now." Su Jin couldn't stay in this place for even a second longer.
"I'll take you back..."
Before he could finish speaking, Su Jin interrupted him impatiently, "No need, I can go back by myself. Let me know when the divorce papers are finalized."
Zhou Zhenxing stood there stunned, and a moment later Su Jin's figure had already walked far away.
Was it just his imagination?
Her attitude towards him seems different than before?
Su Jin left the military camp as quickly as possible, and only breathed a sigh of relief when the camp gate was completely out of sight.
That was so dangerous! I almost bumped into that person!
Xiao Yunfeng's cold face flashed in her mind, making her shudder involuntarily. She shook her head vigorously, as if that would be enough to shake that face away.
"Newspapers for sale! Newspapers for sale! Freshly printed newspapers! Behold, a young girl climbs a tree to save a cat, risking her life for what?!"
Halfway back to the guesthouse, Su Jin heard the shouts of a newspaper vendor not far away.
"..."
A young girl?
Climbing a tree to rescue a cat?
It shouldn't be her, right?
She was completely distraught and quickly walked over to the newspaper boy.
"I'll have one!"
Five cents.
Su Jin quickly pulled out five cents from her pocket and handed it over, then impatiently opened the newspaper.
Sure enough, in one of the sections, I saw a report titled "Young Girl Risks Her Life to Save Cat: Is it a Legacy of Kindness or Driven by Money?"
Um...
Three black lines immediately appeared on her forehead.
It turns out that even in this day and age, people are already using such sensational headlines to attract attention.
Not only does it contain a vivid description of what happened, but it also includes a photograph.
You can't believe a single word of what the reporter says, especially not about not publishing it.
The article concludes by criticizing her actions of saving cats for money, saying she didn't care at all, and that all she really cared about was that photo.
But she had clearly made the reporter hand over the film.
So the reporter didn't give her "all" of the film at all!
Realizing this, Su Jin felt somewhat annoyed, realizing that she had been careless.
Fortunately, the photo was taken from below the tree when she was in the tree.
Only a small part of her chin was visible, and even that was blurry. Combined with the bulky cotton coat she was wearing, it would have been difficult to tell if she was male or female if the title hadn't specified.
It took Su Jin a minute to readjust her emotions. Although she thought it was unlikely that an ordinary person would recognize her from a photo, she still wanted to leave as soon as the divorce proceedings were completed, just to be on the safe side.
