Chapter 42 The Three Musketeers of the Family Compound
Newspaper office.
Jiang Bao stared blankly at the newspaper in front of him.
Until a colleague walked over.
"Xiao Wang, what's going on?"
His voice was quite loud, startling not only Xiao Wang, who was called to a halt, but also his other colleagues.
Xiao Wang followed his gaze and immediately understood.
"You mean this? Didn't you take these pictures the day before yesterday?"
"I took the photos, but I said I wouldn't publish this report."
Jiang Bao's face was grim, not because he had agreed to Su Jin's request, but because he felt that this kind of news was not worth making headlines.
"When you were chatting with us about this the other day, the editor-in-chief overheard it and happened to see a photo on your desk. The editor-in-chief thought this matter was worth discussing, so he decided to publish it, and your name was on it."
Xiao Wang didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
Jiang Bao was surprised that it was the editor-in-chief's decision. "Shouldn't they have told me beforehand?"
"You were out running around all day yesterday, and the editor couldn't find you. Reporter Jiang, why are you so angry? Is something wrong?"
Xiao Wang couldn't quite understand where his anger came from.
After hearing his explanation, Jiang Bao couldn't bring himself to get angry.
Seeing the strange looks from her colleagues, she realized that she was being too emotional.
"There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't know and want to ask to clarify."
The newspaper has already been published; there's no way to undo it.
And it's also his fault; he shouldn't have told his colleagues about it after he got back, since the photo was on a different roll of film.
He developed some other photos along with the photos, and coincidentally, the editor-in-chief saw them.
"Reporter Jiang, are you really alright?" Xiao Wang asked him, still worried.
Jiang Bao forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, "It's really nothing."
It seems that something might happen to the girl in the photo who rescued the cat.
However, the photo is not clear, hopefully no one will recognize her.
Family compound of the Beijing Military Region.
Three men in their early twenties sat around a table, their eyes fixed intently on it.
There was a newspaper on the table with a picture of a large tree on it.
A person wearing a thick cotton-padded coat and a dog-skin hat stood in the crevice of the tree trunk.
The person is reaching out to a cat perched on a tree branch.
"Er Mang, when did you go blind?"
The fat man sitting in the middle had sore eyes from watching, and then he spat at the skinny man next to him.
The contrast between the two people, one fat and one thin, was striking.
Wu Mang glared at Qian Wei, who had spoken, and said, "If you can't speak properly, then shut your stinking mouth!"
Qian Wei retorted without backing down, "I told you you're blind, and you didn't like it. Otherwise, let Dan Dan be the judge!"
"Fatty Qian, if you call me Egg again, I won't hesitate to make sure you don't have any eggs." Guan An, who had been silent until now, made a stunning statement.
Qian Wei chuckled twice, "It just slipped out. But how could the person in this photo possibly be our Jin-jie?"
Guan An stared at the photo for a long time.
Before he could even voice his opinion, Wu Mang declared confidently, "I think you're the one who's blind, Fatty! You can't even recognize Sister Jin! That chin is definitely Sister Jin's!"
Qian Wei curled his lip to the back of his head, "You know it's Sister Jin just from this tiny chin?"
Wu Mang was full of pride, "Don't even mention recognizing people by their chins, even if Sister Jin turned to ashes, I would still recognize her!"
