Chapter 6
Chapter Six
Rain pattered against the carriage roof as the driver whipped the horses. The wheels rolled over the muddy ground, and the wind and rain lashed against the carriage. Inside, the hood of the beaded curtain obscured most of her face, but she smiled with small, red lips. Beside her, her maidservant shouted anxiously, "Driver, hurry! The people behind are catching up!"
The driver, covered in cold sweat, hurriedly replied, "We can't go any faster! The cart will fall apart if we go any faster!"
The maidservant was in a great hurry, and Xiao Zheyu's red lips moved slightly: "Stop the car."
The maid paused, "Princess..."
Xiao Zheyu turned her head to the side, the beaded curtain swaying gently: "Ruomei, did you hear me clearly when I said to stop the carriage?"
Ruomei's eyes darted around as she lifted the curtain and said, "Stop the car." She exchanged a glance with the driver, who held the reins. Ruomei turned her back and gestured with her eyes, but the driver tightened the reins and gave them a sharp jerk.
"Cistanche deserticola".
As Xiao Zheyu's voice fell, the maid who had been silent suddenly raised her eyes, kicked out, and sent the two of them off the carriage. Then, she quickly regained control of the carriage and turned around, saying, "Yes, sir."
The carriage gradually came to a stop, and Ruomei and the driver tumbled into the mud, rolling around once before finally coming to a stop.
Just as Cong Rong was about to jump off the carriage in the rain, Xiao Zheyu called out to her from inside the carriage and stretched out his hand. Cong Rong glanced at it; it was as white and slender as jade. She took out a handkerchief from her bosom and placed it on her arm: "Your Highness, it's dirty."
Xiao Zheyu put his arm around her forearm and walked out with a smile: "Killing someone with your own hands is the only way to feel good."
Ruomei coughed up blood, panting. Raindrops pattered against her body. A pair of exquisite embroidered shoes appeared before her. Ruomei rose and knelt down, begging for mercy: "Princess! Princess! I didn't do it! It's all the coachman's fault!"
"I don't know anything! I don't know anything!"
She looked up and saw the pale half-chin, but remained unmoved.
With a ripping sound—
Ruomei's eyes widened, blood trickling from her neck as she collapsed onto the muddy ground. The woman under the umbrella watched her fall, placing the knife in her hand to wash it in the rain, and said softly, "Only the dead know nothing."
Once the blood was washed away, Xiao Zheyu dropped the dagger, turned and left. Congrong sprinkled the bone-melting powder, then turned to the coachman beside her: "Choose death, or continue driving."
The coachman trembled like a leaf, nodding in terror: "I am willing to serve the Princess."
The carriage started moving again. Xiao Zheyu took off his straw hat and stared blankly at a spot.
Cong Rong walked in, picked up a handkerchief placed to the side, took Xiao Zheyu's hand, and gently wiped it. Xiao Zheyu looked at his hand and said, "Cong Rong, everything I did was right, wasn't it?"
Cong Rong lowered her head and replied without hesitation, "Yes, Your Highness is right."
Xiao Zheyu closed his eyes.
The rain pattered down, the car dipped, and a dark head popped out from underneath, emitting a sinister laugh.

Meng Yingying was a little hungry. She went downstairs and saw that it was raining heavily again. There was a lot of rain in Liuzhou. Suddenly, she heard someone fall down in front of her. Meng Yingying looked ahead.
He was the innkeeper, who was born with a leg ailment. His legs were intact, but he couldn't walk. He struggled to get up from the ground. Every day when it rained, his legs would hurt so much that he couldn't walk. At this moment, he looked left and right but couldn't see the waiter. He couldn't find him anywhere, so he tried to stand up on his own.
"Shopkeeper," Meng Yingying said. The shopkeeper looked up and saw it was her. A fleeting look of embarrassment crossed his face. "Miss Meng," he said, noticing her wince in pain.
Meng Yingying helped him up and walked him to a table before letting go.
The shopkeeper's breathing was uneven as he spoke, and he gasped, "Thank you."
Meng Yingying asked, "Where is my senior brother?"
The shopkeeper said, "Your senior brother just went up the mountain to gather herbs."
Upon hearing this, Meng Yingying went up the mountain to gather herbs and recited it several times. Wasn't this the scene of the male and female protagonists' first encounter? The plot was progressing smoothly. How could she have forgotten it? If she hadn't forgotten, she might have been able to witness this famous scene.
Once her bottom touched the stool, a mechanical voice prompt sounded in her mind.
[Basic Task: Host's current health: 100%]
[Intermediate Quest: Change Final Ending Quest Progress: 0%]
[Ultimate Mission: Kill the Villain: Progress: 0%]
[Special Mission: Conquer the Villainous Male Supporting Character - 100% Progress]
Meng Yingying was startled: "Wait, I didn't choose to replace it?"
[System: This special task will not be added to your list of tasks you must complete upon returning home. It is a special task that you can choose to complete or ignore.]
Meng Yingying never expected that this transmigration story would be so strange. Why was it listed out when it didn't need to be completed?
Meng Yingying patted her face. Who exactly was this villain? She had no original memories at all, and there was not a single memory of this character in her mind. She was quite passive. Villains usually appeared at the end. Meng Yingying thought to herself as she touched her chin and looked at the rain outside.
Now we know that the special mission is to win over the villainous male supporting character, and the ultimate mission is to kill the villain. Both of these missions seem difficult to Meng Yingying. Winning over the male supporting character is the least feasible way for her. According to the logic of ordinary novels, she will definitely fall in love with the male supporting character in the end and will not be able to go home. Therefore, compared with the other two, the mission of killing the villain is more feasible.
Thinking about this, Meng Yingying realized that as long as she maintained the relationship between the male and female leads, and then let the male lead kill the final villain, her mission would be perfectly accomplished. Then, she would carefully maintain her own health. She smiled smugly, thinking that it was indeed too perfect.
She snapped out of her daze and realized the shopkeeper was looking at her. Meng Yingying coughed and then said, "Shopkeeper, have you ever thought about getting your leg treated?"
Upon hearing this, the shopkeeper gave a bitter smile: "It can't be cured; it's a disease I was born with."
"I see." Meng Yingying blurted out, then gave an awkward laugh.
