Chapter 241 Yunqi
Shen Yunqi sullenly sprinkled fish food into the fishpond.
Yan Buyu tilted her head and poked his arm, "Brother, brother, don't be angry."
"Why am I angry? What's there to be angry about?" Shen Yunqi turned her head away, her tone complaining and aggrieved. "He's always like that anyway."
"Sigh." Yan Buyu sighed and sat down by the fishpond.
"Why are you sighing at such a young age?" Shen Yunqi glanced at her sideways.
“I may be getting old,” Yan Buyu said, gazing at the sky with feigned profundity. “Yunqi, now we can both understand each other.”
Shen Yunqi chuckled, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Yan Buyu, like an elderly person, patted Shen Yunqi's arm and said, "Yunqi, your father doesn't praise you not because you're not good enough, but because he's afraid that if he praises you, you'll get carried away and start acting recklessly like before."
Shen Yunqi: ...
Yan Buyu continued, "You're feeling down right now because your father doesn't understand you. He not only doesn't praise you, but he also often puts you down, right? But he only puts you down verbally. In reality, he's supporting your work."
She overheard her uncle calling several department managers at the company more than once, asking them to give Shen Ershao some pointers.
I also know that my uncle asked around about the sale of the e-sports company.
"More than anyone else in the family, he hopes you can grow up quickly and have your own place in the world."
She returned to normal after remaining silent, and looked at Shen Yunqi with a smile, "Brother, Uncle really loves you, he's just not good at expressing it."
The few fish food pellets in Shen Yunqi's hand had long since been crushed into fine crumbs by him.
He chuckled, tossed the crumbs into the fishpond, then reached out and pinched Yan Buyu's cheek. "Come on, tell me, what did you just call me?"
Yan Buyu was taken aback. Something was wrong; the plot shouldn't be going this way.
The older brother must have been moved to tears, secretly wiping away the tears from the corners of his eyes, then pretending to be strong as he led her home to eat delicious dumplings.
But now, her mouth is slightly lisping.
"Brother." Yan Buyu patted Shen Yunqi's hand. "I'll call you brother."
Shen Yunqi raised an eyebrow. "You've gotten quite bold, calling me by my full name without saying a word?"
"Let go, or I'll drool if you keep pulling my mouth." Yan Buyu reached out to pull Shen Yunqi's mouth.
But she was small and short with short arms, and when Shen Yunqi leaned back, she couldn't reach him at all.
Her eyes reddened.
"Hey, hey, don't cry, don't cry," Shen Yunqi suddenly let go of her hand, panicked, and bent down to coax her, "I was wrong, I was wrong, don't cry, don't cry."
She stared at him silently, her eyes red and puffed out in anger.
Silent accusations are the most deadly.
"I was really wrong," Shen Yunqi said with a fawning smile. "Yunqi knows she was wrong."
Yan Buyu burst out laughing.
"Then you should take good care of yourself. Eat more later, and don't hold a grudge against your uncle." Yan Buyu tiptoed and rubbed her brother's head. "You two are related by blood and are the closest of people to each other."
The image of Song Jingyi flashed through Shen Yunqi's mind, and his heart skipped a beat.
“What blood relation?” Shen Yunqi straightened up. “A family is a family, and the five of us are the closest.”
"Yes, yes, Mr. Shen is right." Yan Buyu pulled his arm and walked home. "I'm starving. Hurry up, I can eat twenty dumplings right now."
"Eat thirty of these and you'll be so skinny. You need to gain some weight so that Si Jingxu can't carry you anymore."
"I don't want to."
The brother and sister returned home chatting and laughing.
"Come and eat. Bu Yu, I'll have your favorite ground beef," Shen Zhiye coughed lightly. "Yun Qi, I'll have your favorite shrimp. Come and eat."
"Okay, you like fresh shrimp too, so I'll share half with you." Shen Yunqi's tone was a little awkward.
Yan Buyu and Shen Yanzhou exchanged a glance and smiled at each other.
That's right, that's what a family should be like.
Si Jingxu had been ignored for half a day and was extremely jealous.
But he didn't want to show it directly, for fear that his girlfriend would think he was petty.
He stood up casually, stretched, and landed between the two siblings.
Yan Buyu: ...You're such a grown-up...
Shen Yanzhou: Doesn't his brother have a more natural way of performing?
"Brother Jingxu, let's eat." Yan Buyu called out to him.
"Alright, I'm hungry too. I want to try the beef dumplings that Aunt Lan said you can eat more than a dozen in one sitting." Si Jingxu came over with a smile and took her hand as they walked towards the restaurant.
"You're so childish," Yan Buyu said softly, "You even get jealous of my family."
"What are you saying, you little mouth?" Si Jingxu said as if he hadn't heard her. "Don't you like to dip dumplings in vinegar?
“I like it,” Yan Buyu nodded emphatically, “I especially like aged vinegar.”
Si Jingxu looked down at her, feeling as if his girlfriend was being sarcastic.
After lunch, Si Jingxu had no reason to linger any longer, so he dawdled around until almost two o'clock before finally leaving.
Shen Yunqi frowned. "This is too much of a dragging on. Are we going to have to put up with him for the rest of our lives?"
Shen Yanzhou adjusted his glasses. "If we don't change the person midway, it should look like this."
"Don't change anyone," Shen Yunqi turned his head and yawned, "If we change to someone else, they might not be as good as this one."
Aside from being jealous and clingy, Si Jingxu is otherwise flawless.
“That’s true.” Shen Yanzhou smiled.
Just as Yan Buyu lay down to take a nap, his phone vibrated a few times.
She thought it was her clingy boyfriend.
When I clicked on it, it turned out to be Ruan Censhu, who said she wanted to meet her.
I sat up, thought it over and over, and decided to go anyway.
Otherwise, she might cause trouble at the school again, which would put us in a very passive position.
Si Jingxu had just left, and they didn't want to bother him any further.
Between the eldest brother and the older brother, who is more suitable to go?
"Of course I'll go!" Shen Yunqi said, hands on her hips. "My older brother is too refined. He doesn't even dare to lay a hand on an old woman, let alone say anything unpleasant. I'm different."
“It’s not appropriate for a man to fight with a woman,” Shen Yanzhou analyzed very seriously. “If it’s about Mu Zi, I can go over and reason with her.”
After much consideration, the three siblings took Mu Zi to the coffee shop.
It was the same shop where she and Ruan Censhu had met before.
It was the same seat.
Ruan Censhu looked unwell and exhausted.
Seeing Yan Buyu and the people behind her approach, he was taken aback at first, then chuckled, "Yan Qihang lied to me, your family is really good to you."
"Yes, they are my best family, Ms. Ruan. I wonder what brings you here?" Yan sat down without saying a word, refusing to order. "It's best to make things clear."
Ruan Censhu stirred the coffee in front of her, her voice calm, "Everyone told me he was a fraud, but I just didn't believe it. I thought I was lucky; after struggling for half my life, I finally found my true love when I was successful in my career."
