Chapter 466 Song Jingyi's IF Route (Part 6)
"Okay, who else wants to join in?"
His voice was so soft and airy that it made the old lady feel uneasy.
Although the person opposite him was just a young man who looked to be under twenty, his aura was stronger than anyone else he had ever met.
She knew she couldn't afford to offend this person.
Muttering to himself, he dragged his chubby grandson away from there.
Song Jingyi wanted to follow them and deal with these people.
But then I heard my younger sister sobbing softly behind me.
“Tingyu, don’t cry. What she said is wrong. It’s not like that,” Qiu Wanyin hugged the child in her arms, her eyes moist. “I’m sorry, Tingyu. Grandma misunderstood you. You did nothing wrong. You did the right thing.”
"But, but I really am an orphan. Don't I have parents? Aren't I my brother's sister? How can I be your relative's child, Grandma?" Song Tingyu sobbed.
They're alive and well, so it's okay if they don't have parents.
But now someone suddenly tells her that she has no relation to her grandmother or brother, and that she has been abandoned.
Nothing hurts more than this.
"No, no, she's not right. You are your grandmother's granddaughter." For a moment, Qiu Wanyin didn't know how to comfort the child. She could only frantically wipe away the child's tears and continue to coax her in a low voice.
"Grandma, let me talk to Xiaoyu." Song Jingyi stopped in his tracks. He could deal with that family later; the most important thing right now was his sister.
"Brother, aren't I your sister?" Song Tingyu's shoulders shrugged, her voice hoarse, looking utterly pitiful.
"Yes, you are my sister, you are my own sister, you have the same parents as me." Song Jingyi said each word carefully. "Now, don't cry. I'll tell you everything. You're eight years old now, try to understand, okay?"
Her brother is the person she trusts the most and who gives her the greatest sense of security.
Song Tingyu's crying subsided, and she nodded, "Okay."
In the garden, a grandfather, his grandson, and his grandchild sat around a small round table.
In the courtyard at night, only the chirping of insects could be heard. Song Jingyi's voice was soft as he explained their blood relationship and their unreliable parents in a way that his sister could understand.
After listening, Song Tingyu paused for a long while.
"So, my parents didn't actually know I existed, and they raised another child as if I were me?"
“Yes, that’s right, Xiaoyu understands perfectly,” Song Jingyi praised, “You are my own sister.”
Song Tingyu breathed a sigh of relief and patted her chest. "I was so scared! I thought I had no relation to you and Grandma. As long as we're related, that's fine. Now let's eat. I'm so hungry."
"Tingyu, you...you're not upset?" Qiu Wanyin was surprised by her granddaughter's reaction. "Don't you want to see your parents?"
“No,” Song Tingyu said frankly, “I don’t live with them, they don’t even know I exist, why would I want to see them? I only want to see you and my brother.”
Ultimately, what she cared about most was what people said about her and her brother having no relation.
As for my parents, it doesn't matter.
"Alright, let's eat first," Song Jingyi said, taking his sister's hand as they stood up. "You must be starving. Let your brother treat you to a meal."
"Yay! Let's go to a restaurant!" Song Tingyu jumped up happily.
"Wait," Song Jingyi called out to her with a smile in his eyes, "Demonstrate your heart-piercing kick to your brother."
Song Tingyu chuckled and actually made a gesture.
"Not bad, your movements were standard and powerful. No wonder you were able to make the little fat boy cry. From now on, do this: whoever provokes you, you beat them up. Remember, your brother can handle it."
Qiu Wanyin looked up at the moon in the sky and said, "Never mind, I'm too old. You teach the children."
Song Tingyu immediately took her arm. "Grandma, I promise I won't fight with anyone anymore. This is the last time. Don't be angry. I love you the most."
"You're just good with words." Qiu Wanyin finally smiled. "But if anyone talks about you again, just kick them like you did just now. What's it called again?"
"I learned the 'heart-piercing leg' technique from TV."
After having dinner with his grandmother and younger sister, Song Jingyi coaxed his sister to sleep.
Under the cover of night, I went out again.
He stayed at home for several days in a row.
When Song Tingyu came home from school, she said, "Grandma, Little Fatty hasn't been to school for several days. I heard he transferred schools. I heard from his classmates that his father was taken away by the police."
Qiu Wanyin glanced at her grandson, who was slowly drinking water, and then touched her granddaughter's face. "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Braised pork belly!
"Okay, Grandma will make you braised pork."
After this incident, Song Jingyi sent several people over.
During the days he was away from home, he picked Song Tingyu up and dropped her off at school every day and accompanied her grandmother to go grocery shopping.
At first, neither of them was used to it, but Song Jingyi was adamant about it and there was no room for negotiation. Gradually, they got used to it.
And Song Tingyu never heard any more bad things said about her.
Life is getting better again.
Until she went to high school.
At the age of 24, Song Jingyi had already made a name for himself. He took over all of Song Shuchen's businesses in Italy and built his own military factories and business empire.
They completed their previous life's journey a few years ahead of schedule.
Having just finished a major business deal, he leaned back on the sofa with a cigarette in his mouth and closed his eyes to rest.
Suddenly, a smooth, round head appeared beside him. "Brother, what are you thinking about?"
"How do you want to kill me?" Song Jingyi didn't even open his eyes.
Acheng looked incredulous. "Why did you want to kill me? I'm very capable. I'm very useful. I completed this mission perfectly. One shot to the head. I'm awesome."
"He just talks too much." Chen Mo gave him a disdainful look. He wasn't very old, but he kept chattering away. It was so annoying.
“Everyone’s as bored as you,” A-Cheng scratched his head. “Boss, you said if I do well on this mission, you’d take me to Suzhou to see your sister. I haven’t met her yet. Please let me go see her.”
Song Jingyi's phone rang. The ringtone was one he had specially set for his sister. "Shut up," he said.
"Little fish." A completely different tone.
"Brother, when are you coming back?" Song Tingyu is in her first year of high school and has chosen to commute to school because she can't bear to leave her grandmother.
"Do you need me tomorrow morning?" My sister is very obedient; she knows I'm busy with work and rarely calls me first, usually sending text messages instead.
"If you come back early tomorrow, could you come to my school?" Song Tingyu said, "There's a parent-teacher conference, and I'd like you to come."
Song Jingyi chuckled lightly, "Afraid of Grandma scolding you for causing trouble again?"
“No, an aunt from Beijing is visiting our home, and my grandmother wants to entertain her, so I’d like you to attend my parent-teacher conference,” Song Tingyu said softly. She added, “It’s okay if you don’t have time.”
“I can come back, your brother will attend your parent-teacher conference,” Song Jingyi asked casually, “What kind of auntie?”
"Aunt Ling from Beijing, Aunt Ling Huiwen."
