Chapter 489 Song Jingyi's IF Route (Part 9)
"Grandma! My brother and I are back!" Song Tingyu shouted as she entered the door.
Qiu Wanyin smiled and slowly walked out to greet them.
"It's good that you're back. Hopefully you can stay a little longer this time." She carefully examined her grandson and only felt relieved after confirming that he was alright.
"Yes, I'm fine these days," Song Jingyi said, supporting his grandmother. "You don't look well. Have you been working too hard lately?"
“That’s not true,” Qiu Wanyin said, not wanting to elaborate. She looked behind her grandson. “This is…”
Tan Junting, with a serious demeanor, smiled politely and said, "Grandma, I am Jingyi's good brother. I have come here to visit you. This is a small token of my appreciation."
"Jingyi's friend, please sit down, child. You're too kind. You don't need to bring anything when you come to Grandma's house next time." Qiu Wanyin was very happy. It was good that her grandson had a friend he could talk to.
He's different from Tingyu; he doesn't like to talk or laugh.
I always worry that he is too lonely.
“Grandma, Junting also brought me a gift, a pair of pearl hair clips, they’re so pretty,” Song Tingyu poured her grandma a glass of warm water. “Junting has such good taste, they’re really nice.”
Tan Junting's posture became straighter.
This kid is so good at talking. No wonder Jingyi runs home whenever he has time and buys all sorts of pretty things.
So it's nice to hear so many comforting words when I get home.
Qiu Wanyin: "Did you say thank you?"
Song Tingyu proudly tilted her head back and said, "Of course, I'm very polite. I'm a good child raised by my grandmother."
"A little rascal," Qiu Wanyin said with a smile.
Acheng and Chen Mo stood not far away, quietly watching all of this.
Acheng had never seen such a scene before, and he suddenly felt a lump in his throat. "I always felt that the eldest brother was a bit melancholic at heart, but now, I feel that he is very happy."
There is a grandmother who cares about him and loves him, and a sister who worries about him and loves him.
The family atmosphere is so good.
“You’re the one who’s pathetic,” Chen Mo said without even looking at him. “You’re bald, so you’re even more miserable in winter.”
Acheng: "...Hey, Chen Mutou, what did I do to you?"
Chen Mo remained silent.
"I heard from Xiaoyu that Aunt Wen is here?" Song Jingyi asked. "Where is she?"
"She left this morning, she had something to do at home," Qiu Wanyin thought for a moment, then still gave the children a lecture, "She's a good person, and she's also your elder. You two should call her during holidays, okay?"
"You're thinking about having more people to look after us if we go to Beijing in the future, right?" Song Jingyi said lazily. "Grandma, don't think so much. I can protect Xiaoyu and you."
Qiu Wanyin glared at him, feigning anger. "You've grown up, haven't you? You're starting to complain about Grandma's nagging now, huh?"
"No, no, brother is just reassuring you. We'll keep in touch with Auntie often. It's always good to have more acquaintances," Song Tingyu said, clinging to her grandmother's hand and shaking her arm affectionately. "Your granddaughter is starving! Is there any food for her?"
“Yes, yes, yes, the dishes sent by Fu Bao Zhai, your favorite braised pork knuckle, your brother remembers it.” Qiu Wanyin looked at Tan Junting, “Child, come and eat.”
Tan Junting watched quietly from the side for a long time.
I'm so envious.
Is Song Jingyi's home this warm and welcoming?
His grandmother didn't take advantage of her age; she wouldn't force women on him, nor would she act lawlessly because of her age.
His sister was fiercely protective of him; she would even defend him if his maternal grandmother made a joking remark.
How can it be so good?
In his family... the older generation treats him as a tool for procreation, while the younger generation is determined to kill him and seize the family property.
It's true that people have different fates.
Acheng and Chen Mo were also present during the meal.
Song Tingyu did most of the talking during the meal, telling her family about funny things that happened at school and making her grandmother and brother laugh.
These people were all well-traveled and experienced, so they didn't find even the best food particularly appealing.
But because she was there, the meal was absolutely delicious.
After finishing his meal, Song Jingyi changed into a custom-made casual outfit and drove his black Bentley to take his younger sister to her parent-teacher conference.
He liked the title of 'Song Tingyu's parent'.
Moreover, apart from getting into a few fights in elementary school, my younger sister stopped fighting after starting middle school.
She has good grades and is always praised by her teachers.
There were only the brother and sister in the car. Song Tingyu sighed, "Brother, I asked you to come back because I felt that Grandma hadn't been feeling well lately. I tried to persuade her to go to the hospital for a checkup, but she wouldn't listen. What should we do?"
Song Jingyi also noticed that his grandmother's complexion was not as good as before.
"I'll have a doctor come to our house tomorrow." Song Jingyi held the steering wheel with one hand and patted his sister's head with his right. "Don't think too much about it, I'm here, it's okay."
"When can we be together forever?" Song Tingyu asked, sounding a little aggrieved. "You're so busy, but I miss you so much, brother. Where are you going to work in the future? Can I go to university in your city?"
"I'm sorry to have troubled you, Xiaoyu. I'm almost done with my work, and I'll have plenty of time to spend with you from now on. As for university, what do you want to study?"
"How about studying design?" Song Tingyu asked, tilting her head. "I like sparkly things, how about designing jewelry?"
“Of course,” Song Jingyi chuckled. “Whatever you study is fine. If you’re considering university, Beijing is a good option.”
He has enough money to support any of her dreams and hobbies.
His only wish in this life is that his sister can be loved by so many people and have a happy life, just like she did in his previous life.
She's destined to meet those people sooner or later, so she might as well meet them sooner.
The little fish should be very happy.
Tan Junting stayed at Qiu Wanyin's house for several days, keeping the old lady happy.
He's good-looking, approachable, and has a very endearing smile.
Older generations especially like it.
Song Tingyu prefers to play with Acheng.
The two were about the same age, a time when they loved to play and have fun.
One person comes up with an idea, and the other immediately follows up with its execution.
Their house is much more lively now that they've added more people.
"Grandma, please have some tea. I have a tea garden at home. These are the tenderest new buds from ancient trees that are a thousand years old. Please try some." Tan Junting then accompanied Qiu Wanyin in the courtyard.
"It smells so good," Qiu Wanyin said, taking a sip of tea. "Junting, you're the same age as Jingyi, right? Are you married? Are you engaged?"
"Ah, I'm two months younger than Jingyi, Grandma. I'm not married and don't have a boyfriend either," Tan Junting replied with a smile.
Qiu Wanyin sighed, "You kids these days aren't in a hurry to get married."
"Grandma, have you seen Xiaoyu?" Song Jingyi asked with a serious expression, holding his phone as he came out, but he couldn't find his younger sister anywhere.
"I didn't see her. She hasn't gotten up yet. She always gets up late on weekends."
“The room was empty,” Song Jingyi said. “I passed by her room, the door was open, and no one was inside. She didn’t answer my phone.”
“This child,” Qiu Wanyin said anxiously, standing up. “I’ll call her classmate and ask.”
Chen Mo walked over and said, "Grandma, Yi-ge, A-Cheng took Miss to Beijing to meet her online friends."
