Luo Rui
Another month passed, and in July, the graduation exams at Samuel's Academy were approaching. Before going to the exams, Tiffany had to attend Rother's brother Rory's birthday party.
Tiffany rested her chin on her hand, looking at the pile of exquisite and gorgeous invitations on her dressing table. "Why do I always feel like I'm attending parties every day?"
“It’s not a feeling, it’s a fact.” Lisa combed Tiff’s hair from behind.
Because of her illustrious family background and her own great strength, noble ladies would always invite Tiff to their parties.
Tiffany yawned and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes with her fingertips. "Are the gifts all ready?"
“Of course.” Lisa tied Tiff’s hair up and set it aside, then put the jewelry on her head.
"alright!"
Tiff looked up at the mirror. The girl in the mirror had bright, beautiful eyes, slightly flushed cheeks, and a gentle upturn at the corners of her mouth. She looked like a spoiled and willful duchess.
Today, Tiffany wore a simple and elegant light blue tulle dress.
After looking in the mirror, Tiffany got into a carriage and went to the Duke of Belanovich's mansion.
As Tiffany entered the hall, a maid carrying a tray tried to bump into her. Lisa stepped in front of Tiffany and grabbed the maid's arm, preventing her from falling to the ground.
After the maid steadied herself, she repeatedly apologized to Tiffany, "It's alright, I'll go to the restroom to tidy up." When the maid heard that Tiffany was going to the restroom, her eyelashes trembled slightly, and she said softly, "The second young master is waiting for you there." After saying that, she bowed and left.
Luo Rui.
Tiffany laughed. She was curious why Rory wanted to see him. After all, he had hated her for a long time because of Rother. She was sure that Rory's visit to him couldn't be anything good.
On her way to the restroom, she encountered several noble ladies, greeted them, and continued on her way.
There was a figure standing with his back to her in the corridor leading to the restroom. He had short, silver-white hair and wore a light blue aristocratic dress. When Lisa saw the figure, she stopped and turned around to keep watch for them.
"Luo Rui".
Upon hearing footsteps, the boy, who had his back to Tiffany, turned his head slightly, crossed his arms, and looked at Tiffany with indifferent eyes and an impatient expression. There was a mole below the right corner of his mouth, and a hint of disgust flashed in his eyes the moment he met Tiffany's gaze.
"You're too slow."
Tiffany naturally didn't miss the hint of disgust in his eyes; she curled her lips slightly, then quickly suppressed it.
"Lorry, is something wrong?" Tiffany frowned slightly, her face showing concern, and her eyes even carrying a hint of affection.
Sure enough, when Luo Rui saw her look, his face darkened. "What kind of look is that?"
Tiff took a small step forward. "I was just worried about you. Did you call me here for something?"
Luo Rui took a step back and glared at her fiercely. "Don't talk to me like that. It disgusts me."
Tiffany knew, of course, that he didn't like her innocent, naive appearance and the way he looked at her like she was a junior. She did it on purpose; seeing him uncomfortable made her feel much better.
"Lorry, how could you say that?" Tiffany lowered her eyes, looking very sad.
Rory frowned. "You'd better not go to Rother's for your coming-of-age ceremony."
“Of course I won’t go to him. That was my coming-of-age ceremony. Why would I go to him?” Tiff looked at him, puzzled.
Luo Rui snorted coldly, "You'd better be." Without waiting for her reply, he turned around.
If Tiffany is there, then she's just unlucky; I've already warned her anyway.
After all, given her personality, she would probably go with just a flick of Rother's wrist. In Lorry's mind, Tiffany was weak-willed and obedient to Rother, although she had never acted that way before. He wondered what he had imagined.
Rory felt a pang of unease as he thought of Tiffany's heartbroken expression. Ignoring the strange feeling, he let out a sigh of relief.
Tiffany stared at his retreating figure, lost in thought. Even if Rory hadn't said anything, Tiffany knew it was because of the position of heir. The Belanovich family also followed the rule that the eldest son was the heir.
In their family, the eldest son usually inherits the title at the age of twenty-two. If he has a fiancée, he will inherit it earlier. Rory told him not to go to Rother, fearing that he might be up to something.
However, he meant well and even reminded himself.
Tiffany knew about Lorry's plans, but no matter who ultimately became the heir to the Belanovich family, it wouldn't affect her or her plans.
Therefore, she has no intention of interfering.
Tiff walked back. "Miss, who do you think will eventually inherit the title of Duke of Belanovic?" Although she was a little far away, Lisa still heard some of it and guessed what Rory was planning. She was curious about Tiff's opinion.
Tiff glanced at Lisa and said without hesitation, "Rose."
"Are you so sure, Miss?" Lisa asked, somewhat surprised.
"After all, Rother is superior in both cunning and ability. Of course, Lorry is ruthless, so there will be a good show to watch in a while."
"And Rosser is even more handsome, I like him."
As the two walked, they soon saw a person standing not far away; it was Rother.
He looked at Tiffany without saying anything.
